Hi all,I've recently been fiddling with the "Reverser Spray" and "rainwater" effects with the PMDG 747. I've finally managed to get the 'smoke system' in the aircraft.cfg. However the aircraft spray effect runs almost continuously, even when the jet is parked and shutdown at a gate.It's very frustrating and I can't seem to stop it.Does anyone else have similar issues? Any ideas? I have read on other forums that the reverser/rainwash effect is very difficult to set up in the PMDG 747 aircraft.This is the Lights and smoke section of the aircraft.cfg. Hello guys, does anybody have any ideas about controlling traffic, speeding it or allowing it to be seperated. i used a software before that allowed me to seperate traffic in air, but i can't find that free software anywhere on the web. i use World of AI Traffic.

Hi, I would really like to use Benoit Gaurant A300 panel (v.3.2) in FS9, but have some display difficulties that I can't seem to resolve. Has anyone the same problems - and managed to fix them somehow? I suspect the problem is that the panel was not designed for a widescreen monitor, because if I go into Window Mode then drag the window a little smaller, all the display errors disappear - it's not a gauge problem per se I think. Hi had problem with indian scenery at ksea deleted the culprit so left with this.Anyone know if this is still related????

Morning guys, i need a little help with Woai. I installed woai around 4 months ago, i just d/l the default packages and installed them, in the last few weeks i have noticed large clumps of traffic when at cruise alt, im talking around 20-30 ai planes to the left/right of my plane. Tcas is going mental, Rc4 likewise. This will go on for about 20mins and it is getting a bit annoying as im sure 30 planes at 1 time all within a few ft of mine is not normal. Any ideas how to correct this? Thanks for your help

I realised, one good evening, that my FS9 ( Compass & SHIFT-Z function ) suddenly displays true heading i.s.o. magnetic heading. Searching the topic on Google brought me no luck :( , also can't find any (obvious) setting in FS9 to correct the matter. Anybody with the same experience, or even better - a solution ?Cheers !

Within the Aircraft.cfg and/or Air File, is there a way to modify/replace a fixed pitch prop with a constant speed prop? If so, what text needs to be modified?I fear that this may be part of the aircraft model and cannot be modified, but if it can, I sure would appreciate a little information on how to make this modification.Thanks:RTH

Hi guys,I find that the spoilers on my Posy a340-200/300/600 do not deploy. I have observed the aircraft on the ground , idle thrust and reverse thrust engaged.......no spoilers.Somebody suggested that spoilers could not be activated until reverse thrust had been engaged. This may be a limit of the model but is not true in real life.From the inside if I select spoilers it goes to armed but if then deploy the spoiler it returns to neutral.The system I used works on all my considerable models, where appropriate, including other Posky models.Any help or comments please.Dave

Prior to running W7 Pro64 I had used Windows XP as my operating system. With XP & the Level-D 767 software I could generate a flight plan, fly a portion of it, then save it to disk and come back to it to complete the flight at a later time. Under W7 Pr064 I am unable to save and return to a flight. I can still do this under the PMDG 747, iFly 737, and the Wilco products.Is there a setting under the Level-D menu that needs to be set to perform this task?Tom

Hello folks, I'm having trouble with the AP in the SR22 Turbo. For some reason, the heading indicator is way out of whack so the plane won't fly at the heading bug specified. The GPS NAV hold is also busted, the plane just goes off in a totally weird direction. The problem is illustrated in the attached screenshot, the heading hold is on, but the plane is definitely not flying at the bug...Anyone know what the problem could be? I'm running Win7 64 bit with the latest updates.Thanks in advance, all help is appreciated.Edit: If I go and reselect the aircraft everything works fine (after I reset the gauges and stuff) --- weird-- Dan

I was reading on the Aerosoft forums that both EDDM and LEBL should be released in the next few days (as stated by the developers of the respective packages). As well, the freeware KPHL done by Sun SkyJet is due for release on Sunday. :(

When using the wing views made for the SGA series DC-9-80 aircraft. I can see the strobes and nav lights on some and nothing on others when i toggle the wing views. When I do the outside aircraft views they're all working. Is there any number or something in the aircraft file to change so I can see them in the wing view? It seems to be the DC-9, MD-95 aircraft.....Thanks in advance........James

I've got the latest FSGlobal mesh and FSDT KLAS which I believe is a pretty good start. Now, what is your opinion to fill out the rest of the area? What should I install for the city, the landclass, and anything else to make FS9 come alive...viva Las Vegas? Please advise and thanks!Mark

HIGetting back into FS after 2 years away....I thought I would post here as I use FS9. Which is the best AI to use these days?I do have Ultimate Traffic, however have misplaced my CD so will need to re-purchase it again if I go the UT route.I have read widely and many people swear by Project AI.What's the consensus between the two or do you recommend another AI program.I'm not a dire-hard AI fan, but do want some aircraft on regular schedules flying to the airports that I use.Thanks, Iain

Hello fellow flight simmers. Before posting in this forum, I attempted to have my question answered in the Project opensky forum, with the hope of resolving the wingtip strobe light not working in the Project Opensky Boeing 767-400 model. A quick answer was that the original FDE files was no longer available and promptly closed the topic.Knowing how some of their forum moderators are not as helpful as I found here, I decided to ask the same question again. I hope we have more flight simmers in our group here who may have at least some knowledge of "tweeking" the FDE file and find at least some strobe light operation going. HiI have CTD everytime I fly to SCEL (happens in the area about 100 km north of SCel). It happens at all time of day and in all seasons but only in this area.I observe that it might happen when using the GPS (default) but on all aircrafts. But I dont know if it is only a coincidence. I removed the SCEL airport scenery and the addon-mesh for chile/argentina. Again it did not solve the problem.I think it might be the landclass that could be the problem. I have default landclass for that specific area. But where do the find the landclass in the filemaps ? I have already spent SO many hours trying to set up FS9 in XP x64, but though I have drivers now and so on, results once FS9 is loaded up are so far rather disappointing. I read this in one forum:".. because you're running 64 bit your 32 bit application (FS9) isn't running natively and will thus not run quite as fast as if it were on a 32 bit PC."Do people agree with that? Having FS9 on XP x64 may stop any OoM errors, but it seems to me that the price to pay is a marked drop in frame rates. I have Aerosoft Heathrow and before (i.e. in XP 32-bit), even with 95% traffic I got workable frame rates on the ground - at least 15fps. In XP 64-bit they keep dropping to single figu…
