When flying an ILS approach, the NAV1 and NAV2 frequencies are properly set to the runway ILS / Localizer Frequency. The Course Window is set to the proper direction. Yet, when I approach the glideslope / localizer 'feather', the CDI needle doesn't move at all. In fact, it doesn't move even after I pass directly by it. Procedurally, should I be selecting APPCH HOLD as I turn off the base leg to final? Shouldn't the CDI be moving towards the center of the HSI?This problem occurs regardless of aircraft. Sorry if there are spelling errors in my text, english is not my native language.I have a Proflight yoke and rudder system, the rudder pedals plug in the yoke with an USB connection and the throtle system with a 6pin plug.the throttle and the propellorpitch settings are working normal also rudderpedals, BUT mixture seems to be dead.does any one knows what is wrong?thanks for coop

I've got a problem with Bill Melicher's Honolulu Intl V5 scenery I'm hoping somone might be able to help me with. It's not the scenery itself, but a compatibility problem with MegaScenery's Hawaii scenery. The latter uses the default scenery's terminal buildings at PHNL. When I installed Bill's Honolulu scenery I discovered the default terminal building were still visible and overlapping the terminal buildings in Bill's scenery. In some cases trapping aircraft in boxes formed by this overlap. In others, aircraft are embedded in the still visible default buildings.The easiest solution, of course, would be to dump one or the other scenery file. I'm loath to give up Mega…

Hey guys, over the last few days i have got WOAI traffic working great with fs9, However earlier on today i was getting ready to takeoff from JFK and there was a huge traffic cue, I was waiting there for 10 mins+ and i noticed planes ahead of me waiting just vanished! I have no idea why this is.. Its rather annoying, is there a way to fix this? :)hope to hear back from someone.thank you so much.mike

I have downloaded several API Macros from the website, and have dowloaded the program "Airport".Can anyone help me on how to use the API macros to put new items and new airports into FS2004?

Does active sky v6 have it's own cloud textures or does it just work with the FS9 cloud textures to make it look better. If so are the REX or AS6 or REX textures better for clouds? I believe the REX ones you can only set one style per time (eg one texture for cumulus and one for sirrus etc) for the clouds while AS6 it changes according to the sky conditions...might be wrong.Is this true? Then how do you use AS6 textures-since it has better weather engine, i've read it does, and can put different sorts of clouds for each condition (or does it, not too sure, need to know by you guys) while still having REX installed for other textures. Do I just update my textures with REX …

Morning fellow virtual aviators,To those who have the wilco or wilco/cls a340-600, what would be the ideal fuel flow scalar?I have the latest wilco service pack and the fuel flow scalar on that is 0.73?I'm asking this because the fuel burn values seems really low for an a340-600. E.g I did a 2800nm flight, roughly 6hrs (average winds= -16kts) @ mach 0.84 with 386 pax & 80,000lbs cargo. Total flight fuel was 105,000lbs. This is about the same i've seen on a 777-200er rw flight report doing the exact same journey.So i was wondering if it was just me or the fuel scalar (or whatever it is in the .air file that control fuel burn) is a little inaccurate?CheersWalter

While attempting re-install FS9 an error message appears at 62% which says " Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 encountered a disk error while writing to the file c:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\ Scenery\ Name\Tex\_ _ _\ LDM_ dc\_capitalbuilding.bmp. Make sure your hard disk is not full, and the file is not in use.I have plenty of free space and does anyone have ideas what could be the problem?

I installed a couple of add-ons on my new computer, and there are problems, I never had before!!I downloaded Project Tupulev, and updated it to version 2.03I selected the flight, and flight simulator starts loading!But after 15 secounds it is still 0%, and I become a windows massage, that flight simulator has a big problem and will be cloed now!This happens every time I try to load the aircraft!Is there anyone in the Forum, who can help me with that huge problem?

Hi Simmers,Some time ago I was commissioned by Abacus to create a range of liveries for their Fighter Pilot II and F-14D Super Tomcat products. It was a fun project and as usual I got carried away with experimenting on all of the various experiments that I could do with the different aircraft. Maybe this will help someone. For the last couple of days I've been getting a message saying "Runtime Error! Program C:\FS2004\FS9.exe R6025 - pure virtual function call". It generally happened about mid-climb. FS would then shut down. After reading numerous posts in this forum (Wonderful thing this forum!!) I managed to solve it. Here's what I did:1. Downloaded & installed the vb40016 runtime files & placed in Windows\System folder2. Deleted & re-built my default flight3. Replaced my FS9.exe file with the original (9.1) one4. I'm having my main Flight Sim computer rebuilt with the I7 6 core CPU and 12 GB of triple memory and a duel boot system so that FS2004 will run on Windows XP and FSX will run on Windows 7. Is there anything at this time that the company rebuilding it can do to STOP those OOM errors that I have had lately? jerrycwo4
