I'm new to FS2004 and am learning the ropes with the aircraft that come with the sim. However I would like to 'fly' a P51 Mustang. Are there any good free P51 add-ons available for FS2004? If not, which payware would be recommended?Thanks

Hi AllFollowing on from my panel problem thread yesterday, I actually decided to get the payware SkyDecks 737NG Panel.I love the panel, but the guages are constantly flickering, this only happens in full screen mode, if I put the game in windowed mode it doesn't happen.I really don't want to have to use windowed mode to use this panel, as I much prefer full screen.Is there a fix for this issue? I've done some googling and the black flickering seems to be a common problem....ThanksMartin

I had to reinstall due to some corrupt files which were proven very difficult to locate. So what I did was copy the FS9 full directory to a different hard drive, and gave it a different name. Then I uninstalled all add ons and FS9. Then I did a brand new install using the original discs. I went to the regedit/local machine/Software/Microsoft yo see if there was any entrie related to Microsoft FS9 left, and it was not. Afterwards I realized that Windows 7 64 bit is different so, I looked for any files left in : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\9.0 but the only Microsoft Games I found there was Age of Empires.Then I did a br…

I downloaded this file recently from the file library.While reviewing it I was in the process of striping out the scenery object libraries the author included, that I already had (I wish people would not include object libraries created by others and freely available, in their packages. It wastes space and can cause object display issues).I discovered an extra file named ng_objets and vehicles.BGL that has no business in this package. To the best of my knowledge it adds nothing to this scenery, yet will add many, many objects to LEMD.If you have installed this package you might want to check this out, removing the file from the active scenery folder will fix the issue.If …

Hi AllI am relatively new to FS2004 (used to use a lot, had several years away, and have now come back to it in a big way...)I have downloaded a lot of freeware add on aircraf (POSKY and iFDG) and have really struggled to find panels I like.I mainly fly 737's and A319/20/21's on short routes, so most of the aircraft are of these families.I came across the PSPanels 737NG panel which I like so much I have installed on all of my POSKY 737's and all of my iFDG Airbus's.BUT...funny things are happening with the lights. I have FS2004 running on machine running Windows 7-64 bit,an I7 and 12 GB of RAM. Lately, when flying long haul flights with both PMDG 747 and Level D 767, FS crashes to the desktop and I receive a message that my system has run out memory. I have read that in some cases it is due to memory leak. It only happens after about one hour and half of flying. I have read about the 3GB switch, do I need it for a 64 bit windows 7 version. If it is due to a memory leak, what is causing that? Add on aircraft? AI aircraft? Sceneries? and what is the best way to isolate which addonn is causing this.I have all of WOAI ai flights, plus many others downloaded and others I created myself.…

Hi All, I did a bit of searching of this Forum but could not find a similar Post. For some reason I am not aware of the World - Go to airport link has gone haywire and for some reason the "Any" does not work. I tried EGPF and ended up in africa somewhere. Does someone know a fix for this nuisance. Many thanks. richard welsh.

Hey guys. After a brief leave from Avsim due to professional issues, I have returned here and have restarted my work as part of the reviewing staff.This time is the Leonardo MadDog 2010. I'm planning to include a section in my review about how the public feels about this add-on so I decided I would ask the good folks here what they think about the aircraft.Do you like it? I AM USING FS2004 WITH VISTA, RECENTLY I INSTALLED WILCO FEELTHERE AIRBUS SERIES 2 SINCE THEN EVERYTIME I USE ONE OF THE WILCO AIRBUS AIRCRAFTS IT RUNS FINE UNTIL I EXIT FS2004, THE PROGRAMS CLOSES BUT AFTER A FEW SECONDS FS2004 CRASHES AND I GET A MESSAGE ASKING ME TO CLOSE THE PROGRAM CAUSE FS2004 DIDN'T SHUT PROPERLY.ANY SUGGESTIONS.THANKS

I am getting good FPS in FS9 but am experiencing quite bad stuttering in both the graphics and sounds. Anything I can do to try and fix it? Not sure if it's liked but I have just installed REX. Andy Solaini

I'm scratching my head over this one, and need some advice!I recently had to reinstall FS9 after a Windows crash. I recopied all my textures, etc and ran Ultimate Terrain to get the roads back the way I wanted them. But now I have roads (and I think extra coastlines) running through my lakes and rivers. I can't figure out how to get rid of them. It almost looks like maybe the FS9 defaults and the UT stuff are both there?It's probably a simple fix, but help is appreciated!Ron

I have fs9 installed and I have seen, over the last few months, a problem where fs9 atc is inaccessible, by means of accessing the atc key. There are variations to the problem, sometimes, the ATC screen appears but you can't actually access it, pushing numbers to reply or interact with atc makes no difference. Other times, atc just cannot be accessed. I can hear it based on the last frequency tuned, but I cannot access the atc window, it just somehow either disappears, or it appears but cannot be accessed. The sim runs fine, but getting from point A to B is now accomplished by flying manually. I've tried accessing menu options to turn atc on or off with no change. I reins…

Just a quick question. I downloaded Mike's copy the Beech Bonanza and copied into into my FS9 Aircraft directory. The plane comes up fine from the selection screen. The default cockpit, sound, is there etc. The problem is when I try for the virtual cockpit I just seem to be standing on the tarmac....there is nothing there...no panel, no interior etc. Even in the default cockpit if I look left or right I see no door, no wings etc. Do I have to put something somewhere other than in the Beech Bonanza folder in the Aircraft folder?OS is Windows 7.Thanks in advance if anyone can help.jj
