Can you show me pics of shockwave 3D lights REDUX. Especially the different types of landing lights (like narrow, xenon and halogen etc) and which ones look the best and most realistic on jets. I believe there are many sorts of landing lights that come with the package, i would like to compare, so please do show me them...

This may be a yawner for those of you who had the good sense to purchase the Dream Fleet 727 from Flight1 long ago. Hi AllI've recently purchased a new computer which has allowed me to get seriously back into simming (after a 3 year absence - yay!) :( I think it's a pretty good spec machine, and as a result have most of my sliders on max, and it seems to handle it perfectly, I'm happy with the frame rates I'm getting, so all good...One issue I do have is that the scenery seems quite blurry most of the time.One specific problem I've found is thtat I did a flight this morning from KDAB to KTPA and as I was on approach to KTPA, I was only 12 miles from the airport, in perfect clear sky, and the airport just didn't appear, until I was about 7 miles away. Hi Guys, I apologize if this has been covered already in another thread.I assume from what I have read that fs9 will only use one video card for graphics.I am using two Nvidia GeForce 7600 GT cards through SLI.I noticed in the fs9.cfg file it has this...[DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT.0]Mode=1680x1050x32My question is, if I change the 0 to a 1,( in the fs9.cfg), does it draw from the other graphic card, or does the change do nothing really?I tried this and didn't really see much of a difference except maybe a little loss of FPS.I was curious and thought maybe someone here could answer this for me. Hi everybody,I had to rebuild my system after a nasty trojan took over and just in the process of getting my flight sim back. But this is where things start to go bad. I'm running Vista 32bit, a NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT and my flight sim (fs9) isn't working. I'm trying to run it under "Run as Administrator," in XP SP2 compatibility mode and with visual themes and desktop composition disabled. Also I have my appearance settings are on Windows Vista Basic, so no Windows Aero. So now when flight sim loads, it will go through the splash screen but when it comes to the spot where I pick aircraft, weather etc..., the screen goes black, comes back showing my desktop with a differen…

Hello Yesterday my pc had major surgery.New hard drive,new power unit.It works and thats GOOD.But! transferring fs and other files from old drive is proving dammed frustrating.One little thing thing....When I used to open a folder its address would be displayed at the top(useful for copying and pasteing)This a fresh install of XP now that has gone.I have tried the folder options but still can't get it back.Can anybody help please?Trying to get everything back to what it used to be is driving me NUTS I just want to fly.I know its not a sim question.AndyProbably the first of many questions.cheers

Hello I have just re-installed FS9.1 on my system and for some reason that's beyond me when I open the ATC window its showing a font that is very difficult to read. Does anyone know how to change the font please? I have tried looking for an answer but could not find any. Thanks in advance....................John

I was watching the cold and dark startup on YouTube and noticed that when the pilot looked up to the upper electrical panel on the IFly737 the panel was aligned straght as it would be if seen in 2D. When I try this using view hat switch or mouse the panel is always at a weird angle and spins around so you can't get a straight on view as in this video. Anyone solved this or does this not happen if using TrackIR 5???

I realise that FSUIPC and WideFS have their own forum on Simflight, but I am still waiting for my posting to appear there after 8 hours, so I thought I would get people's advice here too.I have had a registered copy of FSUIPC for some years. I have now purchased WideFS so that I can run FlightSim Commander on a separate laptop. The problem is that the e-mail address I used for WideFS is not the same as the one used for FSUIPC. I didn't realise this was an issue. I have tried to register WideFS using the key I received, and the key is rejected. This seems to be because the e-mail address and name in the registration tab are the ones used for registering FSUIPC and not the …

Hi!I downloaded the bloom effect files from here:http://www.fs2000.or...4-bloom-effect-Then i followed the install instructions and put the .DLL and .INI file into the Flight simulator 9 folder. But when i start FS a window pops up saying that Flight Simulator cannot run because the version of Microsoft DirectX 9.0 installed on your computer is incompatible.I use FS9.1 and Windows 7 64-bit. Any ways so solve this? I've tried to reinstall DirectX from the FS cd1, but i was unable to because i've already have a newer DirectX version installed.Can anybody help me?

My screen font in FS9 has changed to a font that is very hard for me to read and I am unable to find out how to change it. There was a thread that asked the same question but there was never any answer to the question. Any help would be very much appreciated please...........................John

I wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue. I dont think its occurring with just one aircraft and is really getting on my nerves. While flying, after about 30-50 minutes, the aircraft will randomly shut down entirely. I've sat at my desk, watched all the MFD's on the Moach 737 go blank, and the aircraft start to fall. Restarting the engines solves it...But comon, I dont want to have to babysit the plane every second. Has anyone else experienced this type of issue? My failures are all turned off, no crashes, just cruising along, and bam!, no systems/engines. I've reinstalled the aircraft and am not sure if a file somewhere needs to be rebuilt or what.…

One of my major ambitions in FS is to get things as real as possible, an ambition which I'm sure most of us on here share.The major area for improvement for me is obviously the default ATC, it's limitations are well known and I'm hearing lots of positive things about Radar Contact.So I'm looking for opinions from people that actually use it about it's value for money. Hey guys. I was wondering if someone can help me out here. I love flying the PMDG 747F but recently I've recently made a flight from YSSY (Sydney) to OMDB (Dubai) and its 6522 nm. The planes maximum range is like 7300 homever when I make all my tanks 100% it still tells me on the FMC that I have insufficient fuel. What gives? Help? Thank you!

I have recently re-Installed the freeware PPP Portugal scenery and Have found that the AFCADS for the scenery do not show. Bui;dings are displayed and AI traffic are parked but no tarmac, Taxiways or Runways. The scenery is in FS9 and I use Windows 7. When I try to take a look at it a secound time I have a black screen and after that flight simulator crashes! I wrote that to a topic a view days ago, but now I have a error massage from microsoft!!! I just realized that the package in the title does not provide a new HD set for stratus and thunderstorm clouds althought at least stratus should be there based on the description. Do you still use the default ones or is there some good suggestions to upgrade those cloudsets as well.Thanks,Alex

The apchart gauge previously was never a problem when it came to frame rates. In the new Win7 64 build it drops fps by about 10fps every time it is opened. Any idea why this might be? Could it be that the gauge is too complex and is doing too much work and reducing the capacity of the sim? Or maybe it is being antialiased? I remember FSInn the VATSIM utility had this problem until the outside gauge border was removed.ThanksShez

I have just picked up the PSS 757 Professional from JustFlight (price was too good to miss). I know there is one tutorial included with the download pack YBBN to YSSY), but I was wondering if there are any other Tutorials for this one out there. Maybe one from PSS before they went under?

I am thinking of buying this plane and would like to know how is it? Does anyone here have it? Do you like it? I see the real plane often at my local airport. I think it is a pretty unique looking and sounding plane.
