Hi guys,I did some research and found this little freeware program at tomshardware that you can use to set fs9 exe. or any other programs affinity. Maybe, some tech head, can give some feed back on what the best setting for fs9 or maybe other tips for getting the most out of todays hardware.The link @ tomshardware was dead ,so I found another link for the download. ----> http://www.xdowns.com/soft/download.asp?softid=19069I have tested it on win7 64 bit and xp pro 32 bit both worked fine.

Dunno how it happen, but i don't have any coastlines, in Switzerland only. Lake Geneva and other lakes are just square tiles. Is there any BGL file i should check, or copy/paste default one, if any, from FS9 disks? :(

Those of us who use both FS9 and FSX know there are some differences with the detail of scenery and such but with the right addons it can sometimes be difficult to tell the difference. The one area where FS9 can be lacking is in its' depiction of water. I've attached a picture taken in FS9 which shows the blocky textures you can sometimes get. This is with Zinertek's Ultimate Water advanced. I don't think it has anything to do with this water addon, I think it's just the way FS9 renders water. If anyone has any suggestions on how to eliminate or at least lessen this problem, I would appreciate it.

Hey peeps, So I have a little problem with the PFE and I was wondering if you guys can help. Everything works fine, all my flights are compiling and everything but when I click connect to FS I have to choose how I wanna start the flight, right? Well I do and it's telling me to rebuild my database-check. I did that and it still gives me the same error. I tried rebuilding the database like 50 times and it just won't let me connect :/ Help please, thank you

Hi AllA long tome ago I deleated my default AI (FS9) by using the tool in "My Traffic". At some point while adding payware scenery, one of them has put the default AI back in and I do not know which one. I do not know which files to start looking in so I can deleat them again. I think it maybe a South American scenery. Does anyone know of specific sceneries that do this or point me in the direction I should be looking. I have a new system:i950 @ 3.07GHZ4gb RAM1GB GraphicsWindows 7 Pro 64bitIt seems I still have my old drives with FS2004 still in my computer and everything is still there, so I might not need to reinstall everything! But it doesn't seem to work! Can someone help me make this work.I might need to reinstall, can someone give me directions on how to, or atleast make my old FS9 work, which is still on my system...

Buon Giorno,I need help for a problem showed up days ago. When I start a flight all is exactly as I set up(normally I customize REX with meteo defined by user in fs2004(cumulus,cirrus density and height,visibility etc.). Until now the outcome was excellent.Now when I start all seems normal;after few minutes suddenly clouds and horizon become black,then,after minutes all get back and so on. I tried to change some parameters inside REX and FS2004 without results.Here are two screenshots as sample.I don't understand where is the origin of this problem.Thank you for your attention. Bruno

I hope someone can help because this is driving me insane. I have recently started having really bad lagging and stuttering in FS9. When I pan the view round in outside view it doesn't pan smoothly, it skips and jumps as the scenery seems to lag. This is strange because at the same time I am getting good FPS. I have the locked at 50 and am getting 50 pretty much all the time. I have recently changed two things on my system before I noticed the stuttering starting to effect FS9. I got a new Asus GTX460 card and I got the iFly 737. I can't pinpoint when the lagging issue started but I didn't have it before. Then my old ATI 4870 broke and I was without FS for about 3 months.…

I don't really know how to describe the problem, you have to see it to understand. Basically when i look in the distance the water or ground details look like heatwaves (i don't know if i can call it a blurry effect) or something and also a weird effect like when the tv cable goes down and you see the little spots on the screen. I have some pictures and you can compare them with other pics that don't have the problem that i do. Everything is maxed out, no lag and also i have pretty much every ground add-ons and REX too. PC Specs : Intel Core Duo 3.1GHz, 2GB Ram, 512mb GeForce 9600GT, Windows XP SP3 x32

What is best mesh, payware or freeware, for: 1)Whole world2)Specific regions ie, Asia, Europe, Oceania, Australia, USA, South America etc etc etcI want best quality for where i fly, so if the whole world one isn't as good compared to getting specific regions then let me know.Apparently some freeware mesh is better than payware, is this true?How do you judge mesh, what do you look for? Hi,My FS9 takes more and more time to load.Probably :a- 1-2 minutes from launching the .exe to the start-up windowb- 45sec for the load bar to start, after having selected an airportc- 10sec for the scenery to load completelyWhat is strange is that during FS9 launch (Phase a), FS9 seems to load all the bgl files (scenery, trafic). I would expect that only the relevant files get loaded only at phase c).What is the purpose of the scenery cache?ThanksGhiom

Hello everyone, it's been a long time since I have been on the forum and wish everyone a happy Flight Day. I'm having a problem with my computer and possibly the program, it seems that I cannot load Edit Voice Pack for FS9, I get an error message that states the program is not loaded properly and does not have the correct pathway in the 'registry' and if I can make the pathway do so, if not try and reload the program. Also, I am now finding that when I pull to the gate, another plane either follows me into the same gate or pops up in the gate as I am pulling in. Can anyone recommend FS9 sceneries (freeware or payware) that are worth having for KPHX, KDEN and KATL? I have Megascenery for each of these areas but no decent add-on airports to take advantage of it. I have a very modest sytem so FPS/Texture loading is an issue for me. Not looking for FSDT quality unless it gives FlyTampa performance. :(

Pretty much what the title says...I can't access the forums and the Tablet PC has server errors. Is it finally the end of the most infamous FS company to ever hit the skies (or at least attempt to)?If so, I'm glad they're gone. Nothing but lies they've been, and they've been incredibly stupid. Everything that could go wrong went wrong and they handled the situation extremely unprofessionally. I feel sorry for whoever bought it. At least now that they're down people might spend their money on something better.

Hi all.I have just installed W7 64bit recently and tried to install FS9. I have read many different threads for installing sim into W7 so I picked one method. Install went ok with no errors etc.Rebooted pc and then done a defrag. My install was to create a folder called "ACOF" on to my main C drive which I then installed fs9 into. so the direction was C:\ACOF\FS9 (I hoped)While watching the defrag I noticed that when the defrag was passing ACOF, that the fs9 part of the string was missing. I then went to the C drive and clicked on the ACOF folder only to find that the fs9 folder was not there and all fs9 files had gone directly into the ACOF folder :( All other folde…
