My knowledge of real world aviation is almost zero. So bare with me please.When a large aircraft (any I suppose ,its relative I would imagine) say a 747 is parked up between flights or for any length of time ,don't the four massive engines exert a mighty downward strain on the wings.That's it If wrong forum then please move.And yes this is a genuine question.No I haven't been on the quaff (ale)Yes I will be later.Andy

Hello,I know about these free scenery projects (Greece - GAP, Netherlands - Netherlands 2000 v4, Finland - FISD ). They cover whole regions with quality mash and textures and objects and airports. Do you know any other projects especially in Europe, where I could find such big and complete sceneries? I have been flying around in Lionheart Creations version of the Quest Zodiak which is a high-powered single engine turbine aircraft.Acceleration for take-off is phenominal, which is only to be expected of such an aircraft due to the power-weight ratio, but it is almost impossible to control taxiing speed. A small nudge of the throttle pushes it up to 30 kts in an instant and when I brake back to, say, 20 kts the speed starts creeping back up again. It's a constant round of creep, brake, creep, brake ....Is this normal or is there a variable I can alter in the aircraft.cfg file?Many thanks for any advice.David

I posted in the registered users forum as well but knowing there are a lot of iFly users here as well (Rafal, cough cough) I figured I would pose my question here as well. When using the iFly my TCAS is not filtering traffic. In most AC I only see traffic to +/- 2-3000 feet around me within a 40nm ring. With iFly I am seeing everything regardless of the AI altitude! Even traffic 9,700 feet below me. Has anyone else seen this or can you point me to the stupid mistake I must be making :)Thanks in advance!-PaulDisregard, the iFly support team was phenomenal and I already have an answer. I keep getting an intermittent problem with FSUIPC disconnecting. I usually start FS9 in windowed mode and then switch to full screen with Alt+Enter before I push back. Sometimes, but not every time, when I hit Alt+Enter the screen goes black for a second then I hear the Windows 7 chime and all the things connecting via FSUIPC (Radar Contact/FS Realtime etc) all crash and report that the connection to FSUIPC has been lost. This doesn't happen at any other time than switching screen modes. Why is this happening and is there a fix? I have tried about three versions FSUIPC and the same problem happens with them all.Andy S

Hi,I use the WOAI Continental and United Package. I'm not too bothered about changing the AI schedules to 'merge' the two airlines but I would like to add the newer liveries of the aircraft. Is this a pain staking job or is there a tutorial or easy to find list of what repaints I will need? I have a basic understanding of Ttools. Any advice or accounts of your own experiences would be most appreciated. Thanks,Kev

Hey!I used always Flattex to flatten some areas in mij FS9 on Win XP.Now, since I fly on Win7 this Flattex program which was very easy to use, does no longer work, I guess that Win7 is the reason why.Does anybody know a similar program for FS9 on Win 7?Please inform.ThanksGreetzJive1

I have started on a Dispatch Creator/Release Generator for a virtual airline, I thought I would share some screen shots and ask for some feedback. The first attachment is the creation document where a pilot inputs the data highlighted in green and selects the flight number. Then the data is calculated and released onto the Dispatch release document. I have read through lots of FARs and I think I caught all of the data thats required. I still do not have the wx feature working but I am researching how this can be done.Any feedback on the program is appreciated, I haven't decided how I am going to release this but thats a ways off right now.Thanks

Hello.Well now I have problem with FSBuild 2 (2.3.7.2). The problem is after I have build my flight plan, exported it to aircraft FMS I try to use feature Save Flight Plan. Now this feature should save .flt or .pln file to default folder in my documents. Problem is that it does not. After I press Save Route to User Flight it says that its done but route does not appear there. Can someone please help me with this issue?Thanks.

I have three traffic files (GA, Military and commercial aviation). GA has perhaps 20 MBytes, Military is not worth any discussion, but commercial aviation has 93 MByte so far, and almost every day I add an airline or two... On my system, I have installed Prague scenery Project LKPR X - ver 080605, Scenery of Praha Ruzyne Airport for FS2004/FSX by Pavel Benes, Filip Dvorak and Karel Kriz.The stock airport for Prague is incorporated in the file AP951140.bgl in my path ....\FS2004\Scenery\Eurw. When I view this in Afcad2.21 by Lee Swordy I notice that there are two obsolete runways visible which affect the above scenery as I believe the stock airport was not properly excluded by the authors.. I want to remove these objects. When I highlite and delete them and subsequently attempt to save the modification of the stock airport, Afcad prompts me to save the file as AF2_LKPR.bgl and not AP951140.…

When i use the Douglas DC-3 on the ground, it did not turn right or şeft. i could only did, move foreward.i also tried to use SHIFT+4 and pull the "TAILWHEEL ON-OFF" but it stucked anddidn t work.so any idea? to turn on hte ground with DC3?thanks

So I moved back to FS9 once I got my new Laptop as I wanted to Fly the PSS/POSKY 777 Merge. First I'll let you know what I have installed:FS9 9.1UK2000 EGLL V2AESPSS 777 (CD)POSKY 777, freeware sounds and models.Squawk Box 4 (VATSIM)Now I flew EGLL-KORD, 7 hours later I was just entering the correct Altitudes for the STAR and the next thing I knew FS9 froze! I actually have a pc that can run 9&10 but I can't get any scenery to take in the scenery library I'm not going to post this in FSX because the staff might get upset I'm not really sure if this in theright place . i HAVE BEEN DOING FS9 for about 7 years so I'm not a rookie you can add bgl files but as far as getting the lbrary to acknowledge it forget it.AND IF IT HAS A SELF EXE. it will work???? I'm banging my head ad I know it's not a mem issue I have 16gb's.

Flying the MD 11, I never plan which runway I'll use for landing, I could have, but I prefer to wait til the ATC provides me the info or from ATIS freq when starting to descend. But with iFly NG, If I don't plan it before, the TOD bug won't show up..that's what happened in my 1st attempt. Which is not the case with MD. I know in real life, I could always make a prediction. (That's what I saw on justplanes vid). My 2nd question is: do they always make an estimation which runway is active at destination airport?Thanx in advanceKind regards

I'm currently having a problem with an aircrafts suspension. When I make turn on the ground, the wings dip way too low and makes the flying experience un-real.Is there something I can adjust in the aircraft.cfg file or is it something in the model..(which means I can't do anything about it)

Do you PFE user make use of the SIDS/STARS function? I use VoxAtc in FSX and it does a great job with SIDS/STARS but it doesn't work in FS9.
