I posted the following in the FSX forum, because I used RWY12 in both FS9 and FSX.Anybody using Rwy12? I have been using Rwy12 for a couple of years. I have the files in Addon Scenery and Static Objects Library. It has been working just fine. All of a sudden, it is NOT working.Could somebody tell me about their continued success of using RWY12 with FSX, and if the files have to be relocated. There is a mention of placing the files in MAIN C: drive. But I am not sure that would work. I installedalso Dotnetfx Net framework and MSXML4 as suggested....to no avail. Anybody using RWY12 in FS9? Hello everyone, As many of you, I prefer to do a VOR flightplan, or at least a "high altitude airways" option for my IFR flights, unfortunately when making a TATL flightplan, like from Heathrow to JFK, the flightplan takes you over the Ocean and all the way to North Central Canada when it turns back to NY... Why is this happening and is there any way to solve this problem, do waypoints have to be added for the Atlantic Ocean ? Haven't try Pacific Ocean yet, I'm using FS9 Thank You

I know and have traffic 2005 :( which added 4 more voice sets to default atc in fs9.Does anybody know :( of any other programs or software that adds more voice sets to deault ATC????

I was just wondering, does anybody know if a new 757 is in the making ? A freeware that is, the POSKY model is good, but old now, it needs at least some updates like wingflex, the aircraft from Qualitywings and Captainsim look good, but too complex with the panel for many enthusiasts. Too bad POSKY doesnt do planes like it used to, love that they still did a 747-8 and also a new 767 from SkySpirit, is anyone thinking of upgrading the 757 as well ? Thank You

I just purchased HIFI SIM - XPAX the other day.Todat\y is my first chance to use it. I made up a flight plan and so far all I've heard is passing out boarding passes,a movie and meal will be served shortly, and that's about all. Maybe I'm missing something but surely the flightcrew would have something to say to each other.Does anyone else think it could be better?Thanks,Mike

Hi allI have very recently installed FS9 on a new PC running Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit version with 4 Gb of RAM and an NVidia GTX560 Ti card. I have set Windows to give me full permissions to the folders where FS9 is installed and also where flights are saved to. Also, I use Windows 7 as the administrator and I am flying the Flight 1 C172 Skyhawk.Having completed a flight I park in a suitable area and shut the aircraft down to the point of a cold and dark cockpit. I then save the flight. The date and time stamps of the .FT and .WX files are updated accordingly. However, if I exit FS9, re-load it and select my saved flight instead of having a cold and dark cockpit…

Hello everyoneWell I've just bought a new MCP but after following what little info that came with it I've installed software etc but when I star up FS and software the panel does not control properly?? For instance the speed control knob operates the heading bug and heading operates v/s and so on and knobs don't do anything.Can anyone out there help me as I can't understand what I'm doing wrong, I've never had any equipment like this so it's completely alien to me! Hello,I recently purchased a Saitek yoke and throttle off of craigslist along with FS2004 in hopes to learn a few things before pursuing a private pilots license this Spring. Getting into flight sim has been a lot more difficult then I could have thought, hopefully someone out there doesn't mind helping a newbie.My setup:Windows 7, 32bitFS 2004Saitek yoke and throttle, (rudders to come)My issues: When I go into the properties of the Saitek yoke and thottle, the throttle levers (z axis, x rotation, y rotation) are always initially shown at the 50% mark, even if one lever is at 100% and the others are at 0%. Hi All. Perhaps someone can help me un-riddle this scenery error. I'm running FS9 with VOZ 1.8 (a must-have if you fly in Australia with FS2004) and at some stage added other scenery for Perth International, YPPH. Unfortunately I can't now find or identify this add-on, but need to remove it. The airport - taxi-ways, apron etc. look good from the cockpit, but if I change to top-down external view, an odd thing happens. At reasonable viewing height / zoom things look fine with the AFCAD defined runways, etc. all perfectly clear. Zooming in and down, however, for accurate taxi-ing in Top-Down view, the AFCAD features (I think) - i.e. runways, taxi-ways, airport fixtures etc.…

Hi, I just got my computer fixed and installed FS2004. I have a 2 add-ons, QW 757 and Embrear 185/195. They run great on my system! Don't think I'll go back to FSX. Anyways, anyone have a opinion on the new Wilco A320 PIC?Greg

hi all; I have fs9 on a p4 with 6800gt vga and terrain display is really smooth and crisp way to the unlimited horizon, no visual terrain loading when flying and no "rings" visible,however fs9 on my i7 950 6 gig ram with geforce 250gts 1gb, terrain rings are very visible and very small, constantly loading around me as I fly. I tried all terrain settings (same asthe old pc) as well as display drivers switching from older to latest ones.Old pc has a 22" vga @ 1600x1200x32 and new one a 30" pcie2 @ 2560x1600x32I searched the forums and the web w.o. succes, plz helpp@u!

Hello all,I posted this question earlier at the Hardware/Drivers section, but didn't get any reply. Hopefully more luck at this forum. A few days ago I installed the NVidia 285.62 driver, replacing 275.33 (never installed 280.26). The installation was done via the 'express' method. Subsequently in FS9 the fps showed wild variations ('V' op to 40%), and frequently dropping to around 9, obviously causing lots of stutters. After rolling back to the old driver everything was normal again. This is very odd and since nobody as far as I know has mentioned any problems with this version, I've got the feeling that the culprit lies at my end, but I haven't a clue where. Could it ha…

HiJust wondered if there are any other companies that do a moving map like feelthere for Passengers. I own Feelthere, but feelthere have not made any updates since it was released back in 2008, would be nice if they inculded other additional faetures like showing MAP of the world were it is dark/daylight etc.I have used the update by Thomas on AVSIM files, but stii wanted to know if there are anymore companies or plans of a new product of similar styleThanks

As the title suggests, I am searching a way to make the sea textures and colours more lifelike; as the majority of my flights are done with real world weather conditions I am often disapointed by the way the sea looks, in particular over the UK.I have tried tinkering around with REX to achieve the results I am striving for but I am not having much luck, maybe I am not doing something quite right and this is why I am asking. hey guys!i am trying to apply the 4gb patch to my second computer. my first computer has the patch without issue. my new build will not accept the patch.computer that works is windows xp. computer that will not work is running windows 7. i have tried using the same .exe from the xp computer on the windows 7 build - same error.whether i use cff explorer, laa, or 4gb_patch.zip - i can succesfully change fs9.exe, but when i open the game - i get the attached picture.any ideas?

Hi EveryoneWhen playing Airliner pilot using FS9 i'm having a problem with my throttle control on my x52 pro, whats happening is as soon as i touch the throttle lever its going to full throttle and it only returns to half way not fully back to idle. It worked fine until i had to have my computor repaired, the joy stick works perfectly except for the throttle control, i have tried every setting in the FS9 menu but still have the problem.If anybody can point me in the right direction to resolve my problem that would be brilliant, hope i've explained it right and it makes sense.Many thanks in advance

Hi folks,So I decided to reinstall FS9 the other day after about a year. I'd reformatted my computer so I had to download and install WOAI packages again.I ran FS9 and it all worked fine.I then downloaded some freeware scenery and problems began.FS9 would keep freezing at the splash screen with no error messages. It would just refuse to load.So I reinstalled the whole thing and it ran like normal again. I reinstalled my WOAI packages and the same issue occurred again (without installing any other freeware scenery). I deleted the recently installed packages to see if they were the issue and FS9 ran normally again.It seems every time I install WOAI packages, the sim throws …

I've been going through some re-installs of late and just installed FLightZone's awesome Portland scenery. I also have Ultimate Terrain USA which I installed prior to KPDX (and it's got a lower priority).I've got a patch (I think Opa sent it to me years ago) for a Portland and UT install. I haven't run it yet and Portland is looking mighty fine on the new rig. So the questions are, what does it do and do I need to patch Portland?Also, I remember some rumors that it has an effect on FlyTampa Seattle which I have a license for and will install soon. Anything to pay attention to there?Please advise and thanks!Mark

Up to Gary's usual high standards.For those not in the know East Midlands airport is the UK's second largest cargo facility, predominately DHL. Second only to Heathrow. So if you enjoy the cargo planes, and who doesn't, this might be a spendid purchase.
