Hi. Can anyone kindly tell me (or show me, if you can find a picture!) what the flaps control in the a300 cockpit looks like?Do pilots call out "Flaps 1 ... Flaps 2 .... Flaps 3 ...." as with other Airbus? And does the pilots' flap control show the flap positions (1,2,3,4) or the degrees of slats/flaps (latter, 0,8,15,22,40)? I am thinking the latter - so the pilots call out the angle of flaps rather than 1, (1+F),2,3,4, as with other Airbus, but the only picture I have found shows flaps levers with no markings at all as far as I can see:http://www.flightfor...ead.php?t=84803Or am I totally confused here??Thanks!Martin

This used to be in the avsim library, but is unavaliable. I found one in another mega-pack, but it was fsx-only and caused CTD's when i tried to use it in fs9. If anyone has one or knows where I can get one, I'd appreciate it.Thanks

Hello,I recently bought the Saitek Multi-Panel and I really like it!Only, when I try to use it with airplanes like the iFly 737, some panel lights work and some don't. I expected this when I bought this, and I have FSUIPC and the SPAD drivers so I thought it would be no problem.But...When i assign a virtual button to a button in FSUIPC, I can select the functions for the panel, and i.e. I can put on the panel lights (with the switch panel), put them off, (With the switch panel), but can't get them on anymore!I assigned 1 virtual button to the on position, and 1 virtual button to the off position, in FSUIPC I assigned those to panel lights on and panel lights off respectiv…

Recently I have seen that tir smoke disappear when landing and also above 27/28000 feet alkso the jet cotrail does not appear.Instead of it I see void space.Lately I have been fiddling with effetc files and I suspect that the file making th smoke has been deleted,Is there a way to find it again ?

Hi all,I have started to learn to fly Alphasim's awesome U-2S. I have been trying to fly a high-altitude airway flight at FL700, from Nellis to Beale AFB. Apparently thinking that the U-2 is some kind of commercial airliner, ATC will direct me into what I call a "stepped climb"--incrementally bumping me up to my cruising altitude ("Climb to FL180"..."Climb to FL330"..."Climb to FL600"...etc). As per the instruction manual included with the aircraft package, I try to keep my speed as close to 100 KIAS as possible--even if this means cruising at idle throttle in between ATC-ordered altitude changes. Hi,I'm having a (long time) issue with extremely dark ground textures at any airport.Compare the 2 screenshots below and you see what I mean. They were taken at the same airport and same time.(don't mind the taxi light differences, that is caused by settings and the halo.bmp)We both use a (different) nVidia graphics card, though not the same drivers.Now to my question:What determines the lightness of the ground textures and why are they so different?I can't imaging that is it caused by a difference in graphics cards.Please enlighten me :biggrin:Egbert

I have not used my FS9 in some months and notice last night when I finally used it that when going to full screen, I get what seems like "noise" or very very mild "snow" on my screen like a television. When I get out of full screen and go back to windowed mode then its nice and sharp and "solid". Do I need to reinstall my video drivers just in case something when to the frits?Thanks

I purchased ez scenery for fs9 some time ago. I've noticed with some scenery addons (mostly those who use other than ez scenery for their airports) that there might be a marshalling system/ramp worker and/or guides (those that stand and walk at the wingtips while an aircraft is taxing into a gate or being pushedback to the ramp). I was wondering if anyone out there who uses ez scenery has any of these types of textures that I might get and add to my scenery. I've searched and havn't been able to find anything that has been uploaded to any flight sim sites. If anyone has created anything like these for their scenery but has not uploaded them I would be grateful to have the…

Hi,Just recently I started to notice strange water textures in the distance. They look rather blurred and enlarged. I will post a screenshot down below. The onlywater textures I use are REX. Quick question for FS9 in regards to VC zoom level. I currently fly at .64 zoom but wondering if there is a level which is regarded as correct or the best as when using a small zoom level the outside scenery will also be zoomed out.Thanks,

FS9 crashes to desktop every time I approch the region of intersection MOMUK in the southern part of Germany. I learned this when flying a flightplan from Amsterdam to Innsbruck. I repeated the flight several times but got the same results. Flying the flightplan in the opposite way, also leads to a crash. So I did some more testing and every time the same crash. It doesn't matter what airplane I use, what heading I am flying or at what altitude I am flying. There is no add-on scenery in the neighbourhood, just the default FS9 scenery. I use the same add-on scenery in FS9 as in FSX, but in FSX I do not encounter this problem. BTW, I use Windows 7 as OS.Anybody a tip how t…

Hey all,I have (2) seperate video cards in my computer which displays my outside views.FS identifies both cards as both are mentioned in the FS9.cfg file and the settings that I used from P Solk seems to be recognized by both as the textures are quite crisp.However, it seems that I am only getting the Enb bllom to work on one card. Is this a limitation or does anyone know a workaround whereas I can apply this mod to both cards?Many thanks...........

I am a dedicated fs9 user who is unwilling to migrate to fsx, the only problem that I have with fs9 is the night sky, its just not dark enough in my opinion.My last pc had windows7 32 bit installed and I was using a program called fs night time that really helped to make the night sky more realistic.I have since got a new system that has windows7 64 bit installed and I am having problems installing this little program with the 64 bit version of windows7.Has anyone else had this problem installing this program onto a 64 bit windows7 os? Whenever I attempt to install fs2004 night time I get a message sayingbad file name or number happened in initialization routine? Any help…

Hey folks,I am using FS9 now for about 2 years, and since I bought a new and really good computer I have real problems to get aircraft addons running properly. In fact, I have about 15 aircraft addons currently installed, but only about 3 of them are working, the other 12 are either working heavily restricted or not at all. I have never heard of such a weird problem before, and I neither have any idea what might be causing all the addons to fail, nor how to fix that.I'm rather confused, any help would be wonderful :(

Hi all ye technical experts,Suddenly, after many years of FS9 simming, all the normal red messages at the bottom of my screen, e.g. "parking brake" and the flashing "slew", etc have disappeared. Not just one or two of them but ALL of them.However, all functions including the (parking and differential toe-)brake and slew modes etc. do remain working correctly, it's just that the related messages no longer appear and not being able to see whether or not the parking brake is set while e.g. starting the engines at a gate, can be rather problematic.I've had a good look through my fs9.cfg and have entered "SHOW_BRAKE_MESSAGE=1" into the [sIM] section under "SYSCLOCK=1", as sugg…

hi everyone, i was wondering if anyone could help me with this. when i complete a flight and try to prepare the cockpit for a turnaround flight, FS9 crashes. in other words, i can only flight one flight in each session. if i want to fly again i have to exit fs9 and reboot the program. any one have a fix?

is there any free clouds that look better? also is ther any freeware program to make all the textures look nicer?Thanks

Having some fun rediscovering my first payware airliner for FS2004 ... the Aerosoft distributed, Hans Hartmann produced, BA146. :( Like his Fokker70/100 masterpiece this aircraft doesn't have a VC. I can live with that though I know many of you can't.This bird is just ideal for getting into (and out of) tight airstrips with noise abatement procedures in place for example London City, Innsbruck, Vagar et al.It really is a lot of fun to fly and its procedures differ from the 'run-of-the-mill' Boeings, Airbus' et al.
