I just purchased WideFS and FSUIPC for FS9 with high hopes of running ASA, Squawk Box, and FSCommander from my laptop. I'm using a hard wire to the back of my wireless router, which is then connected to the router supplied by my DSL company. The question is, how do I network the computers to get WideFS connected? I've ran networking wizard and can see shared folders between the two, but when I try to send files to either I get an error that the disk may be write protected. I just need good step-by-step instruction on how to set up two XP Pro computers for networking/LAN. Please help!!! :(

Hello allI have ctr+F10 assigned to decrease concorde visor fully in FS assignments in order to operate the airstairs on the PMDG 800, and I know F10 is by default assigned to the Kneeboard.However that's not an issue but when I press ctrl+F10 the airstaIrs deploy as they should but simultaneously the 'FLIGHTS' on the menu bar highlights too.I can't find where else this could be cross assigned. I've looked in all the obvious places so if anyone has any suggestions I'd be grateful.Thank youAW

It says "couldn't open executable". I have tried re downloaded. Still not working. The backup fs9.exe is created thou. Thank you

Happy new year all. I come to you with a problem.My fs9 crashed and i have had to reload it. After finding out that it still did not work i set my computor to a restore point. It now works great except;The carib nord scenery appears. I had installed this and then deleted it as it was not to my liking. The scenery has now reapeared and i cannot get rid of it.I have tried everything my little brain knows but am bamboozzled by it know. Any ideas please.I do not want it and my fps is now appaling.Ta everso if any one can help

Narrowly missed the drink landing the Wilco A318 at night at EGLC London City. Made the pilot error of trusting the AP too much. It didn't drop onto the steep glideslope soon enough and we touched down beyond the TD zone, overshooting and diving into the GA parking area.I used the vc_light.zip textures from the library to darken down the cockpit, but also darkened the main textures to give a nice dark cabin, which seems closer to what I see when I stare into real cockpits at the end of a night flight.Vid a bit dark. Is there any free- or payware software around that can be used in multiplayer as a radar for monitoring the traffic, ie other players connected to the multiplayer session? We have three computers at the local flightclub and I thought we'd try using one as an ATC station and then roger wilco to communicate via voice. Can FSCommander achieve this (I have a license)? Perhaps VRC would work but the needs are quite modest - just a radar screen around airport in order to give vectors and learning VRC is a bit over the top for this purpose.We are already using VATSIM so this would be a complement.

I have some problems with the PSS Airbus. I have read the manuals, but I can't solve the problems. When I made an ILS approach I can't activate LOC and APPR buttons, I can activate ILS button but not the other 2. I have a X52 joystick, and I have assigned the buttons both in FS) and FSPUIC. They are all working with all other aircraft, but some of them are not working with PSS airbus, f:ex autopilot - landing light - panel light and parking brake. Gear - spoiler are working. Does anyone have a solution?best regardsslin

Happy New Years everyone!I just bought myself the Carenado PA28 Cherokee 180F (missed the sale ) and I have been playing around with it. Its a fun plane to fly! Never flown one in RW so not sure how accurate it is. I am planning on doing some long XC's with it, but would like to have an autopilot installed into it. Is it possible to do that? I looked for a payware AP but couldn't find anything and that Reality XP GNS 430 is way out of the price range. If you guys could help me out and point me in the right direction, that would be much appreciated!Thanks! :)Kyle

I have been pulling my hair out for the past month trying to solve this issue.I am trying to re-install my imaginesim KDEN scenery, but every time I try to install, it comes up with this message:'Recovered' is not a valid short file name.Then I hit "Ok", and it says it hasn't been installed because of the error.My folder Recovered was where my FS9 was located, but I re-installed FS9 completely on my hard drive, deleted the entire "Recovered" folder, and thought that would fix the problem.But, it's still saying that. Dunno why..I even went into my registry and deleted everything that had "Recovered" or "Imaginesim" in the name.Still nothing. Can someone help me please?Here…

Hello guys! I just installed KDEN from ImagineSim on my computer. Soon after I went to the airport, I noticed that the terrain textures are messed up. The terrain shows the default terrain, and it's bleeding through the runways.I contacted ImagineSim, and they said for me to use the update. So, I updated. But it's still not working. I change the seasons to summer and it's working fine.I contacted ImagineSim again, and they haven't responded.I'm at a loss, and I've pretty much tried everything.Any suggestions would be absolutely wonderful! Thanks!

With christmas getting closer I decided to give to this great hobby.I am doing the exterior and vc interior of the great freeware aircraft by Veneaviones the Turbo Commander 690B found here at avsim.Not sure if I will get finished with the new vc textures by christmas but I will for sure upload the exterior by christmas.Fs2004 has had a wonderful year in 2011.Still going strong on my system.Thanks to all that still use and support fs2004!Screenshots are unedited:

Windows 7 is great (so is my investment buying it). Cured OOM they said, allocate more memory, and other enormous things to offer. Been working, researching, learning and getting myself familiar and comfortable with it for the last couple of weeks (Thanx AVSIM for this !). It's great to have new learning exp. But for my fs9, I think i need more and more weeks to get it worked as I expected like it did with xp. For now, I just want to fly more often instead of spending more weeks combining the OS and fs9. Like all of you guys, I have loads of addons, a loooot of them. Like most simmers here, time is just not on our side sometimes.Am I the last stubborn xp die hard here? an…

I remember quite some time ago a utility that killed preselected WindowsXP running processes and then launched FS2004.Am I remembering wrong and it was for other FS version ?The part about launching FS9 is not really important; I mostly care about killing preselected processes with a click of a button and then launching FS9.I have seen some utilities in various software websites but don't know what to trust ...Any suggestions from people who have used them ?Thanks in advance,

Is it that much better than Eaglesoft's Cirrus products? Can the avionics be integrated into the Eaglesoft line? Strangely it doesn't look like Avsim has done a review on this product...I'm a big fan of Eaglesoft's Cirrus line -- I own all of them and fly the SR22T pretty much exclusively. Hi everyone, i'm having some trouble with SkySpirit 767-400, I can't seem to rotate, The takeoff roll exceeds 200kts, and it just doesn't rotate, I used slew to get myself airborne and it just nose dives, Pulling my joystick all the way back doesn't climb it..Anyone know what i could do to fix this?Thank you :).. and Happy New Year!

Hello allMy default flight starts in spot view showing the left side of the aircraft. How can I change this so the right hand side of the aircraft is displayed?I would like to view the doors and airstairs deploying etc.At the moment I have no hat switch or pan available.Thank youAW

Okay so I don't have time to sit in front of the screen in the cruise for hours these days, so I tend to only do flights of around 200nm in length, which mean sectors of around an hour in total block to block.I'm looking to try some new routes, but the stipulations are:- AES at the departure end at least (I find it adds so much immersion to the sim)- Decent sceneries at both ends- Big enough for the iFly 737Here are some that I regularly do:EGAA - EGPHEGAA - EGNTEGAA - EGPFEGNT - EGLLEGCC - EGLLEGLL - EHAMEGLL - EGNVEICK - EGGDEIDW - EGGPEGAA - EIDWELLX - LSZHLSZH - LSGGOMDB - OOMSLFPG - EGKKEGKK - EGJJAny more suggestions guys?

It was only by chance this morning that I was looking on the Aerosoft website and noticed the advert for the newly released X-Plane 10. To be honest, I have never really been interested in any of the past X-Plane products and have been a loyal FS9 user for many years.About a year ago I did try to convert to FSX but like so many other people my system was not powerful enough to handle it, despite my desktop PC being only a few years old and I have no intention of changing it.So it was back to FS9 and decided that if I cannot have FSX standards then I would build up FS9 as best as I could with good quality payware products.And that's when I noticed X-Plane 10 and when I saw…

i cant seem to get a screen shot in fs9 when hitting the prt scr/sysrq button on windows 7 :/ i cant find it when i search onprogram or files search:/ is there another way to look or is there an way / program to just screen shot and save pics? found and saved can delete or keep in faq if you wish just use fraps... :)
