Hi everybodyNow that PANC has been released, all the major sceneries I have been looking forward to for the last couple of months (plus a couple of pleasant surprises such as EGLC) have been released. Are there any major releases (or even minor ones) for FS9 coming up that I may have forgotten?Cheers, SLuggy

Hi everyone, I just downloaded active camera for fs 2004 and I love it. I am a spotter mostly so it's a great program for that. I mostly use the traffic tracking function so it follows the plane. I was wondering if there is a way to expand the view or increase the time. I am able to see the plane flying by but at a certain point the following stops. I would like to see more of the flight for example approach and landing. I have tried setting up my camera in different areas to see if that helped but it didn't. The instructions are very nice but it doesn't go into what I would like to have. I haven't bought the program yet because if I can't make it work then it's not worth…

I thought I'd ask my question to a larger audience seeing that I got no responses on the Painting forum. Hope someone who has done a paint with a POSKY aircraft will respond.I have done a paint of the POSKY 747-400 in the old Eastern Airlines "hockey stick" scheme. I used the re-paint kit provided on the old POSKY site. Wanting to keep things above board, do I need to request permission from POSKY to release this paint for FS2004, to the community?Thx

  6. I confess that I have never tried the online function in FS9 to do a cooperative flight with other simmers. If some of you have, here's my question...The awesome new Duxford scenery would make the perfect venue for a virtual "fly in" and "air show" of classic warbirds or classic British civil aircraft. Is that a realistic option? If so, it could be a lot of fun to try various things like a formation flypast or aerobatic routines. I assume that if someone is flying and you are connected, you could view them via the tower view?Is this feasible? If so, is anyone interested in giving it a shot???CheersIan

Just bought this and am having troubles with it. I have trolled the internet trying to find solutions, yet with no luck. 1/ Ive developed my own checklist in the User100.ini file yet how on earth do you get it to show in the checklist? It keeps coming up with the default 737 checklist.2/ When ingame and using the checklist, Flightsim pauses. Is there a way to use the checklist without having the sim pause on you.I have tried to work the manual out but without being offensive to the developer who is from Germany, im finding it hard to understand .Thanks Andy

Without using any time acceleration and leveraging one of the long haul capable aircraft (777/767/747/MD11, etc), what's the longest flight you've flown on FS? About the limit of my flights thus far have been KJFK-EGLL at around 7 hours. I've thought about doing one from KSFO to RJAA or something, bumping it up to around 12 hours in the air, but I don't know if i want to feign crew rest and go to bed in between. =P

I'm confused by the instrument approach. Hopefully someone can put me straight. In the attached image it can be seen (please see attached image), that the instrument approach is via BLGRS, then CHRCL then VOYUK then the Runway 17R. Height is 2500' above RWY height. Speed is 180kts at BLGRS slowing to 170knts for CHRCL.As can be seen the heading is 314 turning on to 310 at LLU. So and this is the bit I do not understand. The aircraft has to turn left through 130 degrees to pick up the Localiser for 17R.As the distance from BLGRS is only about 10 miles from the RWY threshold, the aircraft seems not to have time to line up with the LOC and Glide Slope, but snakes about and fl…

Hello all,A heads-up: At the time of its fifth anniversery, a 'pre release' of AES version 2.20 has been made available at the Community Services site of Aerosoft. Oliver Pabst does not call it a beta, but has decided to collect comments, before releasing it in the normal upgrade process. Improvements have e.g. been made in the position of the ground assistant, the 'liveries' of the vehicles and rolling and movement of their wheels. Supported airports are the same as in 2.14. The screenshots look great (as to be expected).Kind regards,René

General lighting is not coming on at dawn and dusk hours. At airports the taxi and runway lights function fine during these hours, but they are the only lights visible. All building lights (airport and non airport) won't come on until night. At "night" setting all lighting works perfectly. Have absolutely no idea why this changed or when. Any ideas how to get lights back on for dawn and dusk? Thanks

hi everybody,I just got the cj1 version from eaglesoft for FS2004, and I was thinking this aircraft should allow IFR operation with no limitation. But as it looks like there is no possibility to see the DME information of NAV2. So to say it is impossible to put a DME on hold or to fly an ILS with a different DME source.Any ideas how to solve this problem. Does anybody know if there exist any updates for this aircraft. I know of similar problems for example the standard installed aircraft in FSX - and I know there do exist panel upgrades to fullfil the IFR-requirements.It would be great to get some help of you!

Hello,I am A WOAI and PAI AI guy and am used to AI self installers. I am in a bit of a bind at the moment. I see there are some Sands AI packages here in the AVSIM library and some sands repaints. It all looks confusing and have no clue how to get them going. Basically, i'd like to see the pretty blue Sands aircraft BBJ,737,767, 747SP,L-1011, and the business jets parked at the Signature ramp in Las Vegas. 18. Hi guys. Having just recieved a newsletter via email from Simmarket I notice that FScene is being sold at a discounted price and I was wondering if this is something worth purchasing.Bearing in mind that I already have installed Ground Environment 2006 (Not the PRO version as that does not work on my system for some strange reason!) and also I have Ultimate Terrain Europe, so I think the question shoud be do I really another similar product or would I be wasting my money?Any recommendations/comments as usual would be a great helpThanksMark

Hi there, i want to put some Wing (Inspection) lights on my Ifly 737-800. But the positioning the lights in the CFG looks awful. There are coordinates such as: light.9 = 8, 10.000, -24.000, 8.000, Opensky_wing_light ,So basically i want to know if there is any software what can make "positioning" a little bit easier rather than tweaking with the file.I want to add 8 wing lights to the 737, 4 on the port side and 4 on the starboard side. I noticed new 737's have 8 wing lights, after last night the Ryanair 737 what i flew on had these lights. Unlike older 737's which just have 2 wing lights. Like the picture shown, and there is one more wing light just beside the 1 entry…

  20. I saw something last night that I felt I just had to share with everyone on here. I had just landed a Lufthansa regional Dash-8(Majestic) at Aerosoft's newly updated Paderborn in Germany. It was night and I taxied to a ramp and shut down close to several overhead flood lights. After shut down I panned around just to look from the outside before closing FS9 when something caught my eye. It was as I was panning past the flood lights - I saw movement around the lamps. I panned back and what I saw just made me grin like a kid. They have modelled moths - yes moths - attracted to the light and milling around. Totally realistic movement. And what makes it even more astonishing …

  22. Just got me the Saitek Trim wheel and I gotta say it really does make a big difference to how easy and well you can trim the plane, level flight, climbs & decents were all so much easier and landing was smooth with no bobbing around trying to control the decent properly. It's quite expensive for what it is but as it works so well that does make the price acceptable. It will certainly be well used,CheersMartin.

Captains,Does anyone have FSGenesis NEXTMap mesh for FS9? I found it yesterday and the offer looks very tempting:http://www.fsgenesis...ct_Code=NXM_BDLI am used to flying my old FSG mesh of LOD9 (76 metres) with some freeware high resolution (38m) versions for the Alps. And now I can see a 19m mesh for Europe! It is available as a bundle. Plus there is a 60% discount on the FSG website.Anyway I would like to hear some opinions and find out if and/or how it changed your FS9 experience, especially in Europe. Thanks in advance.Have a nice Sunday evening!

I am looking for info on aircraft brake effectiveness. I have no time in aircraft larger than a seminole but its seems that brakes on fs aircraft do not work as effectively as they should. I am currently flying the B1900C by pmdg and as part of the take-off procedure it says to apply brakes while running up the engines, the aircraft slowly creeps foreward. is this normal? I know that you can edit brake effectiveness in the config but don't know where but I would also like to edit the effectiveness in a realistic way.
