Over the past few weeks I have had a puzzling series of events where I have gone to an airport that is installed and I've used dozens of times before to find that it's not there. I have to reinstall it. The files haven't disappeared - but it won't load until I do an uninstall/reinstall. This may be coincidental as these are the airports I mostly go to, but so far it's only happened with Aerosoft and FSDT sceneries. (Mostly Aerosoft, though that could be because there are so many more of them)Then I realized that I was also having very minor but annoying issues with some installed aircraft. I have downloaded a lot of addon freeware airports and somewhere along the line I guess that I picked up a virus because every time I try and use the autopilot on ANY aircraft the plne nose dives into the ground. It doesn't matter whether payware or freeware. I tried a complete reload of FS9 no luck. I EVEN tried complete uninstall and installation of the copy of FSX I have and IT does the same thing. Any ideas from ANYONE????? WHAT HAPPENED? I have run registry repair PC Medkit and my CA virus Scan. It removed two JAVA viruses but that did not make any difference at all. I hesitate to run FSX/FS9 Repair from Flight One because I don't have any Flight One software …

Hi There,Lateley I have noticed that my RNW lights are so dark or almost none existant.I have tried to replace the lights by the file by the night environment upgrade, and replacing the halo.bmp by various one from the library with no effect.I have UT USA& Canada, and Europe installed, so as uou see far out the lights are one. Pics attachedIt is only the runways and taxiway.Any help would be appreciatedThanks

I downloaded a file recently called hdev2 from AVSIM. The file changes the cloud effects and ground effects, the clouds are fantastic in appearance. It is great download, but one problem I have encountered is one airport SNA (Orange County CA) textures seem to be missing the ground is all white as you can see in the screen shot, but everything else is ok. Have any of you simmers ever had this happen? And what did you do to correct it. I find it to be strange. Downloading this file mentioned should not affect the ground airport textures especially to only one airport. I have looked at several airports and theirs are fine. Hello , first gracias to Pablo Diaz for the excellent freeware package! I have only 2 small doubts , the folder which contains the Cirrus clouds are Only for cirrus or they change other type of clouds? And i see some of them are 1024x1024 , so how much it affects frame rates? I fly in a Acer 5012 laptop and installed the normal 512x Cumulus , so how about the Cirrus package?Thank youAlexandre Cortez

In FS2004 whenever I go to tower view it just follows the aircraft (the camera is right next to the plane and basically attaches to it). I'm wondering if it maybe has something to do with FSRecorder? Because I want to change it back to the default (where it goes to the nearest tower, the camera is basically pinned in one spot while trained on the aircraft) so I can watch my landings that way.

Hi there, Yesturday i was climbing out in the Qw757 with a heavy-ish payload of 206,000 ibs. About FL280 i looked at the FMC data page, and it indicated 56kt headwinds. I was climbing at CLB-1 setting in the 75, and usually i have to decrease my vertical speed to around 1400-1700fpm around FL280. However the aircraft shot up to my initaial cruising FL of FL390 with a vertical speed of 1700-2000fpm at CLB-1, and i was keeping at mach 0.75 for the climb. Took me about 15 minutes to get to FL390 from takeoff. So may question is, does headwind increase the climb rate of an aircraft through high altitudes? I can just tilt my wings on the right !???? Just wondering why these two popular destinations in Europe have been almost untouched by payware scenery designers? I know there is a decent enough freeware scenery add ons for both, but they are getting outdated and could do with new payware scenery. Does anyone know if they are being target by any payware developers? They would sell very well IMO.

So I have added no new add-ons lately, just haven't used FS9 for a couple of weeksI go to use it the other night and load up my previous flight and the system "bombs" I try it again and again and the same thing.I try to change the scenery and it allows me, but it wont let me change my aircraft and keeps my existing POSKY Delta A330I don't have the time or patience to reload FS9 again with all my add-ons and would like to know if anyone has any ideas as to why this might be happening

This may be a strange request and I am probabaly clutching at straws now and not quite sure what to do, a few years ago, probably in about 2007/8 I bought and downloaded Captain Sim 757 from what I thought was Simmarket. Luckily I copied it to disc just in case I had any problems with my PC.A couple of years ago I bought a new PC and also moved home address and also set up a new email address, all this since purchasing Captain Sim.I have come across the disc that I copied which I forgot I had and tried installing it but it needs an activation code in order for it to run.The problem is, I did not write it down anywhere and now that I have a new PC it is not stored anywhere…

I am installing the FS2004 version from the CD (A380V2) which includes both the FSX and the FS2004 versions. The FS2004 version has the install exec as v1.4. On the pdestal in 2d view, there are no clickspots on the transponder which will allow changing of the transponder digits. There is an area to the left of the transponder window where you are supposed to click the toggle upward to activate the transonder. How do you change the transponder code?. I have been trying to get a response from Wilco support since late October. Does anyone have this installed and working or can offer any support?ThanksDom

Good Day,Yesterday, when i run my fs9, i saw that it didn't respond (at splash screen)! Some minutes later I was again at my Desktop. Really weird! I usually got a CTD with some airplanes or sceneries, but this is the first time it doesn't respond! I found many topics about this but no one helped. ( My Documents/Flight Simulator Files etc). So far, I have tried deleting the fs9.cfg, all Microsoft's suggestions (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/837195), updating DirectX 11 etc. Nothing worked.I don't know what to do!
