As the title says, I want to replace REX's water effects with Zinertek's but I am not sure how to do it, I have tried various methods but not had much luck and I don't want to mess around with it too much in case I do something wrong and mess things up! Thanks

Hi All, Having so much fun flying this aircraft, however, it would be so much easier if the main AI indicator could be replaced with a more modern instrument (have seen a few cockpit photos on airliners.net with updated instruments). Hi,I am having a bit of trouble with the winds on approach into landing. I have Active Sky weather and also have a registered copy of FSUIPC.When on approach the winds change over from aloft winds to approach airport winds at about 2500ft, this causes the aircraft to go off the LOC and then its a battle to get it back stable for landing. Is there away that i could force FS to change over the winds at say 5000ft before I capture the LOC?Cheers

I always like to tinker around with side projects while doing one larger project with SSJ.After the release of KTOL which should be soon, beta testing is ongoing, I am thinking of just doing terminal buildings and ramps of tier 2 airports in the US/Europe. I feel that there is considerable scope to improve this from default without getting too much into doing entire airports. Examples of these airports are (say) Dayton or Van Nuys or Scottsdale or Fresno...Anyone care to raise their hands on suggestions of airports which might need the terminals only being built?Shez

Hi allLets say a short hop from EBBR-EGLL, what would be the optimum FL?Of course with the little fuel needed for this short flight, the optimum FL would be something like FL370.But this would be stupid because when you get to that level, you'll already have to descent.So is there are a rule for those flights as to be at a FL for a certain amount of time?Thanks!

Don't ask me why but almost all me FS9 keyboard assignments are deleted.I have restored most of them, except two that I am struggling with: I am used to pressing F1 and then thrust to go on idle - which keyboard command is this that I need to assign F1 to? I am used to pressing SHIFT+E to open the aircraft door - again, which keyboard command do I need to assign SHIFT+E to? Thanks!

Hi allFirst, this probably isn't the correct forum, but as I haven't found anything regarding this flight planner, my best choice was here.I want to plan a flight which includes NAT-tracks, so I enter them in my flight plan, but then I still have to cross a large part over land. Navaid plan chooses the route for you, but when you click this button it doesn't select a NAT-track, but just flies a great circle with some points in Greenland etc...How can I fix this? Or is it perhaps possible to let it calculate for a segment of the route?Thanks!

I posted this to Wilco support last week and am still waiting for a response:There are no clickspots on the transponder which will allow changing of the transponder digits. There is an area to the left of the transponder window where you are supposed to click the toggle upward to activate the transonder. How do you change the transponder code. This is FS2004. I have the Wilco A380V2 CD and the FS2004 exe is verion 1.4. I am not running FSX at this time. Has anyone come across this issue and if so is there a workaround?ThanksDom

I've been upgrading my AI aicraft (slowly but surely) with "Jan's" FDEs. Some of the aicraft have repositioned heights as well as other tweaks. As a result, some of my shockwave light settings are no longer aligned properly. Can anyone refer me to a tutorial on how to tweak the height and left/right settings in the [lights] section of the aircraft.cfg so that my lights matchup with the contact points? I just tried it on my own with the TFS DHC8-100/200 and I couldn't get anything to line up right.Thanks in advance for any help!Markus

Hi guys, i've had the Quality Wings 757 for a little bit now, All of a sudden i'm having trouble downloading the liverys from their website, Its downloading at such a slow speed, Less than a dial up speed, I've left it for ages but it never completes, Even at a low speed. Is anyone else having this problem? Maybe someone could try and download one also just to see if they are getting a slow speed. Many thanksMichael.

Hi,our pretty satellite is pretty messed up in FS9, as you can see here (full moon so close to the sun is quite impossible):so I went and did a bit of research if the phases can be set right. I came up with a sort of a solution. If anybody wants to try it, here's what I did...- make a backup of all moon textures in <Main FS folder>\Texture in case you want to go back- rename the moon texture files like this:moonfull.bmp -> moonwxcr.bmpmoonwngb.bmp -> moon1st.bmpmoonlast.bmp -> moonwxgb.bmpmoonwncr.bmp -> moonfull.bmpmoonwxcr.bmp -> moonwngb.bmpmoon1st.bmp -> moonlast.bmpmoonwxgb.bmp -> moonwncr.bmpResult is the thin crescent, a few days …

For some reason, using the +/- key to zoom in/out does not work now. Don't have a clue why, probably gremlins as some other wierd things have happened.I have looked through the assignments pages and tried a few things, but cannot seem to find a key assignment to get the function back. Tried all the obvious wordings etc to no avail. I presume that there is some way to get the function back short of a reload.I usually use the zoom in the external view to check out the details of the operation of the surfaces but have also used it inside to adjust the panel view.Any help?

silly question but i have ultimate terrain (EU,US & Canada) and FS Global, with these do i have to turn off fs9's default area scenery? could this be the cause of my annoying ctd's??many thanks

I fly with the wilco a319 evo aircraft, more and more recently whilst in the cruise the aircraft losers the speed indication, throttles go to TOGA LK, Autopilot switches off and aircraft pitches up. I can recover the aircraft, but I don't know what is causing the problems. Anyone had the same? Any help?

Hi,in the aircraft.cfg files there are a line called "description". Sometimes I delete some text there that takes a lot of lines (making the fltsim.number sections far too spacy). However, the text keeps automatically comming back. Here is an example: description=From the most successful family of jetliners ever built comes the 737-400. Hey guys,I've had Tim Conrad's Grumman Tiger for a while now and if you have it, I'm sure you have noticed it is underpowered.With just one on board, I am cruising at about 100 knots at 7000 feet. I can't really make it past 7000 feet without stalling,the normal service ceiling is about 13000. I'd at least like to make it up to 9000 or 10000 feet and cruise at a little fasterairspeed, unless anyone knows about a better performance, is there a mod I can do with the cfg file to kick up the speedand ceiling?Also a nice Reality XP GNS530 WAAS mod would be nice if anyone has it.Thanks guys,Chris

Not so long ago I reinstalled FS9 fresh due to a lot of CTDs. I backed up everything onto an external hard drive...with one exception, my scenery.cfg file.So far all of my addons are running well, mostly because the sceneries only have a "scenery" folder and, at most, a "landclass" folder. Unfortunately FLYMEX folder system is not so simple...I have North, Central, and South. The folder setup for them seems way more complicated then any other addon I have.Specifically, there is a folder for FLYMEX Central called APTMEX. All that is in there is a Scenery folder with a "batch file". Anyone know what to do with this??I've found a few support topics but they are all in Spanis…

Right now, about 20 minutes out of KPHL and headed for Lima, Peru, flying a Delta 777. I simply can't see why anybody would remove FS9 from their hard drive only to use FSX for that reason. I simply can't! I have both, as most everybody else, but to date in my personal opinion, there is no other M.S. flight simulation platform that can achieve simulation of Heavy Iron flight...than FS9 with all added goodies running with it. I have a wonderfully detailed Delta Triple Seven flying over and through: REX Extreme OverdriveActive Sky EvolutionPro Environment II ...and dozens of custom landclass, airports and other topographical features. Hey guys, For some reason I have discovered a problem with my ATC today. Over the last few days I have uninstalled Traffic2005 and installed WOAI and it seems that must have caused the problem. Basically, there is no sound in my ATC, if I talk or if AI planes talk, there is no sound and no yellow text either although I am able to respond and ask questions. I also discovered that there are no names to select in the pilots voice box in the ATC section in fs9 settings. If it helps I am running windows 7 64bit. Could anyone please help me, really hope I dont have tp uninstall and reinstall everything (and even then it may still not work..who knows).

Sometimes, when starting engines on B763 Level D, the engine nº2 (eng 2 first) wound't start and also one's have to try a few times closing the FS and start it over and try... sometimes one's can get it work, sometimes you'll have to try a couple of times shutting FS 2004 OFF/ONRicardo
