I recently loaded FS2Crew PMDG 737NG "Voice Commander" and was unable to activate the (Voice Button). The buttons on the main panel all work except the voice button, I cannot get an (On) indication. I can hear the Fueler and the FA also the FO after taking a short flight. The configuration panel is working and also indicating the headset that I'm using. I ran the voice test earlier and that's working also. If anyone can help I would gratefully appreciate it. Thanks! P.S. (Cannot toggle or push the (Voice Button) on.

At last, no more oval gauges, at least in C172s. Jeff Cork's free download for FS9 and X transforms oval gauges in wide screens to round, plus improving the panel overall. This works in the default aircraft and add on aircraft, Although he has only tested with 1920x1280 resolution, it works perfectly with 1360x768. Highly recommended for low and slow pilots wide screen pilots.

Sorry to raise this hairy topic again but I am having OOM difficulties in FS2004 (ver 9.1 installed) and therefore have tried to enable the 3GB switch in Win XP Proffessional (32 Bit). I have followed the instructions in these two discussion threads http://www.simforums...topic24500.html http://flightsimavia...oom-errors.html but windows fails to boot when using the Operating System choice with the 3GB line in it. I have an Nvidia GeForce 9800GTX/9800GTX+ and used Userva = 2560. (I have also patched the FS9.exe file appropriately but this is academic at the moment!) Hello AllThis could be the stupidest question EVER!but i will ask it nonetheless.If you use ASky i believe you are supposed to check the 'weather settings off' button in FSUIPC .The button pushes in but there is no indication as whether you have turned the weather settings off or on.The same with the 'The normal defaults' button.Am i being more dense than the densed thing in denseland? :( cheers AndyPS I have the freeware version of FSUIPC

Hello to everyone, i have had FS9 for a little while now and although I'm not bored with the flying bit, i am really interested in the re-skinning and development of things. Going from Frankfurt to Bangkok in the PMDG 747, over Armenia/Georgia I encountered a large belt of thunderstorms at FL330. I was never actually in visible moisture, and avoided all the clouds- there was a sold layer below me, with the "anvils" extending up past my altuitude, but I avoided them. Using ASE, my cloud icing slider is set to a maximum of 75%. I started noticing bad turbulence, so I slowed down to M .78, and from then on the plane flew like a brick. I was stalling, couldn't keep altitude, and could barely keep above 240/250 knots with the engines running constantly at 103%. I was able to descend to FL220, where I could maintain 250 knots and barely keep altitu…

For those of you who downloaded my new VC10 panel. Plus also the cabin temperature problem is now resolved. The engine fire warning/control system has been extensively modified. I was waiting for new parts from the manufacturer as they don't make the "Fire Test Switches" anymore. So they have been replaced by press/release buttons. The fire handles light up during the test. I downloaded a file recently called hdev2 from AVSIM, I can't seem to locate it again on AVSIM. The file changes the cloud effects and ground effects. It is great, but one problem I have encountered is one airport SNA (Orange County Ca) textures seem to be missing is the ground is all white, but eveything else is ok. Downloading this file mentioned should not effect the ground airport textures especially to only one airport. I have looked at several airports and their's are fine. What could cause this too happen as this is recent (since downloading hdev2). I even reinstalled the SNA file thinking that a files somehow got corrupted, that did nothing. I hope someone out the…

Hi, I've installed FlightDeck Sound Effects Panel that adds cockpit and cabin crew voice announcements but I can't get the icon show onto the panels as described in the Readme file. I'm following the step-by-step installation notes and it installs right but it's only accessible through the Views menu and not from the main panel where you can click on & off to quickly display or hide it. Would be cool to see it directly. Anyone had experience/ struggles with that? Strongly recommend it, great realistic experience! Thanks.

HI guys.Since last week i have a problem controlling mixture lever n° 1 in multiengine props and turboprops.I point on it with the mouse, the pointer become an open hand, i click on the lever and the hand closes but when i drag the lever down this not moves!!!I try to do the same thing with a tre and a four engine aircraft but is the same thing, the lever n° 1 can't move.i test the correct configuration in the control panel windows and is all correct.I tried to sobstitute all the gauges with new one (i have another PC with a clean FS9 without sceneries and other addons!!).I can control the mixture via ctrl+shift+F1/4 keys but i like very much controling it in the VC with …

Hi, I just have a question to all you simmers who have some add-on airports installed. Let me explain the problem briefly. I was recently flying at night to Manchester (UK2000 add-on scenery) and I noticed a really annoying problem - when I was approaching the runway lights were not visible at all ! (even when I was like 2 miles from the threshold, cleas skies no fog)I could see PAPI just a bit but no runway lights. My Fly Tampa scenery for Dubai, OMDB, places the runways in a different position from the default FS9 AFCAD (AP962230.bgl) and for some reason all my ILS landings there seem to favour the default over the FT file. That means that all my ILS landings are way off the runway - if I slew my a/c to the centre of a runway, it is clear that the localizer markers are way off centre (I land in the grass). Its been 2 :( years ago from purchasing ProFlight Emulator Deluxe . Recently I decided to reinstall ProFlight Emulator Deluxe after all this time. I noticed many updates and improvements have been made since its first release back in 2007.For some time I have been using Radar contact 4. RC4 is a great product :( but it lacks in taxi instructions. ProFlight Emulator Deluxe now, well not sure how long it has been able to do this, can give taxi instructions and even verbally guide you in the correct direction. This has been going on for a few months and I am finally getting irritated enough to do something about it. When selecting change aircraft from the drop down menu the display clears and is left with the blue topmost bar showing "Flight Simulator 2004 - A Century of Flight" and the next bar down shows the choices "Flights Aircraft World Options etc . . . . . . .". After 15 0r 20 seconds the bars change to gray and flight simulator becomes unresponsive. No amount of mouse clicking or keyboard pounding has any effect. Hi! I just managed to merge the Reality XP weather radar with the EFIS display of PMDG 737. After the merge the weather radar gauges on the PMDG radio stack are brought to life, so one can control the radar on the radio stack.But once the gauge was 'installed', the part of the radio stack where the controls of the weather radar are does not illuminate together with the whole stack. Actually, it does not change colour at all (all other parts of VC change colour - they become darker when closer to the dusk)I assume that all other gauges made by the PMDG have some kind of a special code so that they change colour and illuminate during the night when I turn the cockpit light …

Hello, inspired by other designer, pls find attached my first attempt to enhance the VC cockpit night textures for the B777 Overland model. Due to my limited knowledge in Photoshop (and time to learn), I've tried my best to achieve a semi realistic look and feel flying at night compared to the default night VC textures. I'm still not 100% happy with my result, but as soon as i'm finished, i'll upload those files accordingly. Attached a first preview. cheers,harald

HiJust bought a new headset today, no TX , but good voice coming back to me on vatsim. To assist, all cables correctly inserted. Direct X installed for FS9. Correct drivers installed. Headset fails to record on XPHOME, Fails to pass Squawxbox calibration test, Fails to raise indications on volume bar in the XP microphone checker. This is the second headset Ive tried ....both seem to have bad microphones...?? does not seem right? Realtex HD Audio Manager seems to indicate cables are correctly inserted....all MP3 tracks play good. What am I neglecting here ....all good advice welcome. Berne

Using AIBridge which came with the acquisition of FSCommander 9 I am experiencing the problem of frequent disconnect and difficulty in reconnecting AIBridge in multiplayer mode with FS2004. Wonder if anyone using these programs could give me a hint what could be the reason for my problem. Have tried many experiments (windowed mode, single monitor, no other program running) but the problem persists. Thanks for any help on this. Clarindo

Just two questions for FS9 experts: 1.- What is the reason why night time is more FPS eater than day time ? 2.- Is there any way to switch on rwy lights during day time. By default FS9 turns lights on only when very dark or under very low visibility conditions. In some sceneries rwy ligths can be turned on with some frequencies in the aircraft radios. It should be very nice to have sequential strobes going on not only at night in some airports. Thanks in advance.

This post has been prompted by France VFR's current online sales drive for new their new Pays de Loire and Rhone-Alps sceneries. I have bought several bundles from this company over the years. Their scenery is excellent. Unfortunately, there are some drawbacks. Amongst these is the near total absence of online support in English. Incompatibility with Ultimate Terrain Europe (FS2004 version) is a problem which is particularly noticeable in the coastlines. UTE uses the correct geographical locations but VFR France seems to use MS topography. There do not appear to be any patches from either company. There are many other countries in Europe apart from France, which is why…

Hi everybody, I've been fiddling around with FS9 the last few days working on some repaints and noticed that apparently nav lights and panel/instrument lights cannot be controlled separately. Whenever I switch on the nav/position lights, the panel lights come on as well. The problem there is that during taxy and takeoff, I would like to switch on the panel lights so as to turn off the external window lights (_L textures with black alpha). In some aircraft switching on ANY external lights automatically switches on the panel lights as well. Any ideas or thoughts? Thanks, Stefan
