I did a fresh re-install of my FS9. I also installed ActiveSky Evolution. After a couple of times without any problems I experience the following, irrespective of whether ASE is actually running or not: FS9 starts up normally I pick my starting airport, plane, fuel, etc. I leave weather untouched Klick OK The startup freezes at "77% Loading weather" The only way around this is to fly without any weather, which I do by clicking "clear skies (erases all other weather settings)". Then it starts up fine and I can fly. I have tried starting ASE after getting FS9 to run with clear skies, and I have de-installed ASE as well. That does not solve the problem. The problem comes f…

Hello FolksA techno boff is needed.I notice in my Bendix radio stack the DME bit ,there is displayed a miles to or from a Vor (please excuse my lack of knowledge here )Next to the miles to/from there is a constantly changing figure in what appears to be kts. This figure in kts doesn't seem to have any connection to my current airspeed, I can be chugging along happily at 140kts in my dc3 but that figure in the DME(kts) display (not miles to /from that is obvious in what its showing) constantly changes.Any explanation of this much appreciated please.Andy

Hey guys, Just wondering. I've seen several videos using FS Recorder, that have the camera focused on the part of an aircraft other than the middle of fuselage (i.e. an engine, the nose, etc.). How do you do this? I've read the manual, it doesn't seem to cover this... Thanks! JC

I know this has been a problem for quite some time, but I never find any real solution to adding the IGS approach as well as the SID/STAR to the FMC database of the Wilco airbus, I've tried to edit the database file and only manages to get the airport and runway to appear on the ND, but still no luck with the SID/STAR. Has anyone got solutions for that?

Hi, I deleted the two files form the root of FS9: enbseries.ini and d3d9.dll however enbseries.ini pops back in there when loading FS9 again and the key for SHIFT+12 still works for turning on/off the bloom effect. How to I remove this mod? Thanks

I am having problems installing EditVoicepack on my PC and although I have searched through the Edit Voicepack forum I cannot find the solution, or at least not that I have seen anyway. Firstly, my OS is Windows 7 and I have all the latest .net frameworks installed including 1.1 distributable which is what is required for this programme. Issue with POSKY CRJs and B737NGs mainly. Need some help to sort this out. When I use the usually prescribed 5deg flaps and TOGA and then 10deg climb out the plane rockets past 250kias and keeps going until I have to retard the throttles significantly. Surely this is not normal behavior of these aircraft in real life? This is not the case with say the PA Airbus A320. What can be done to make it more realistic? Am I not setting the right flaps etc.? It certainly takes off nicely but more like an F15 than a pax a/c. Also with the POSKY CRJ-700 the bank angle for an autopilot coordinated turn is ridiculously high, pax pinned to the windows What can be adjusted for this to …

I thought that there used to be a "Flight Deck Companion Fourm", and if there is, I can not find it. I'm moving my FS2004 to a new computer and when I tried to install my old Flight Deck Companion (FDC - VR 1.0) it seemed to install OK then when I tried to connect it to FS2004, I received this error msg: "Subscript out of range" . I already have ActiveSky6 which has its own ATIS broadcasting system on 122.0 (Com2). Doesn't have all the bells/whistles of this new utility but still pretty convenient as long as you've loaded a flightplan into it (that way it will tell you weather info at the arrival airport).The thing I like about the FS9 default ATIS is that it tells which landing/departing runways are in use. I need your help, pls.My video is Nvidia 9800 GT and untill today I didn`t have any problems with graphics in FS2004. Yesterday I bought a new monitor 22'' and install a new drivers....and the problems begins! Does anyone know how to correct the rudder issue with the Saitek Cyborg X? I have tried to calibrate the joystick, reinstalled it, and recreated the fs9.config file. Any other suggestions?

HiFS9 has been working it's best for the past year I had got everything perfect....able to handle big scenery and big planes with Active sky and FS2Crew etc.....I was forced to do a clean XP install and just installed fs9 again..without anything but ifly 737 and my fps parked at SEA are between 2-3...whats goind on? Hi guys, So I have been reading the previous post about this problem so I know they are out there but it doesn't seem to fix the problem. It just started happening recently and I haven't installed any new aircraft. The sound starts cracking for about 45 seconds and then goes back to normal. It happens about every 20 minutes. I am using REX and ActiveSky but I feel that going into clouds isn't the problem since it has only started recently and I have been using the weather enhancers for a while. Anyone know what the problem might be? I have Windows 7 and am on FS9 if that helps. Chris Allegro

This one is puzzling me and I cannot work out what has happened, I recently had a clean install of FS9 and have re-installed VFR Photographic Scenery for England & Wales by Visual Flight. I used to like downloading files such as trees and copying and pasting the .agn files and placing them into the correct texture folder which added a bit more realism. This all worked fine prior to the new install but for some reason I cannot find the correct corresponding files to place them into. For example, if I want to place some .agn files into a certain area in the UK I would put them in the VFR Photoscenery_Vol4_1 texture folder and simply overwite any existing files but since…

Lately I've been wanting to fly in Mexico and have been trying to locate the three FlyMex versions that used to be available. They were the North, Central, and Southern editions. I saw that Flight1 has the CDRom versions advertised but it doesn't appear to be available any longer. Aerosoft has a newer version but it seems that its the Central version only. Ironically, I like to fly (mostly) in the desert north western region from Mazatlan to Cabo. So if you know where to buy the three editions, (or even just the northern edition), please let me know and thanks!Mark

The EADI in the FFS Saab 340 doesn't show the selected auto pilot mode (HDG, NAV..) neither the vertical speed selected. The 1.1 update is supposed to fix that problem, but I have the update installed and nothing changed. The .gau file is truly updated as I notice browsing the folders, but no results.Any help will be welcome. I really like this plane. Hi,I started flying over Europe and blah blah blah... then decide to try Italy and downloaded: Rome LIRF, Napoles LIRN, Venice Marco Polo Airport, and Milan Malpensa LIMC all from ISD Group.I install everything and the first 3 scenery's worked perfect! Then flew into Milan and what a surprised the scenery was there but no textures at all, everything was grey. I unistalledall the Italian scenery and restored the files from the Scenery/EURW folder. After that I thought that I was going to get the default scenery back and it did for LIRF, LIRN and LIPZ.However Milan scenery looks like the following image How can I get rid of that and get my default scenery for LIMC back??Th…
