Hi, I have been using REX for 6 months or so and its awesome, but i seem to get a very strange problem relating to the water textures. Basically they dont load at the start of a flight. I get standard FS water until maybe 5-10 or 15 mins into a flight. My Mobo died a month or so ago so its all new with a fresh install but still the same issue..... Any ideas. ThanksAl

I quite fancy getting a decent WWII A/C for FS9. I have some freeware models, the Seafury, tried the AH Seafire and currently running the AF Scrub Seafire with Gary Joones Griffon sounds, fantastic. Just thinking What else is recommended wither pay or free with accurate flight model, good sound and frame friendly. The Realair Spit gets good write ups, does anyone have any comments on the following as well?Warbirdsim P-51Wings of Power P-51Going to download the AH Hurricane (for the Sea Hurricane as I have a leaning towards FAA types).Thanks in anticipation.

Hi all,I've just cleaned out the pc and re-formatted and re-installed windows. I've come to re-install fs9 and at the end of the disc one installation I get an error message saying there is a problem reading the disc or there isn't enough space. There are over 900gb of space left so I don't think that is the problem. The file the installation gets stuck on is overview.wmv. I've tried copying this file and it doesn't copy so I'm assuming the disc has become corrupted which froma quick google search seems common. The disc is clean so and it always gets stuck on the same file. I did back up an original install from a few years back but I don't think it will work by simply co…

I have read many questions on this forum regarding this issue but to no avail I haven't. I have a question regarding flying into LAX from anywhere. Everything is going great until ATC gives me landing direction, it gives me the option of other runways but everytime I click on the number (ATC) to direct me to another runway all it gives me is back. It will not allow me to choose another runway. Has anyone out there ever had the same problem? To get around it I land on my own, but would rather have ATC give me landing direction. Dear Members, When simulating short flights (ENGM - ENVA) I try to compare my results against flightradar24.com. When onboard a real plane I try to observe and listen to the engine noise. I'm still trying to solve following things in my simulator. (FS9) (1) Real pilots are professionals. No doubt about that. When onboard Boeing 737-700 (with winglets), on a flight from ENGM - ENVA I think I can tell by listening to the engine noise and comparing against time spent, approximately when the plane crosses the T/D. Hello FolksI am an experienced simmer and have no problems installing panels,planes ,etc etc etc.However the PA base pack and VC is giving me a hard time.I am a bear of very little brain ,so can somebody explain to me how to install(textures)and get to look at the new PA VC?I have got as far as getting the VC to display ,buts it s all greyed out.I won't be able to use it (perfromance,old PC) I just want a BLOOOMIN look at least.I have the base pack installed ,but the instructions for getting a new texture installed and an aircraft up and running(with new VC)are almost POSKONIAN in there vagueness .Any help appreciated.Andy

Hi Guys, In my EURW/scenery folder there's a default file named "London.bgl" and this file positions (or should position) a number of default scenery buildings, e.g. the famous Tower Bridge, within the London City area. However, in my case all these scenery objects (correctly textured) are positioned about a mile to the East. E.g, Tower Bridge appears on dry land near the end of runway 28 at my London City airport EGLC. All the other objects are present as well but relative to Tower Bridge, way off from where they should be. Hi, I would like to ask two questions about FS Passengers for FS2004Firstly is there a way to record FS Passengers with my flight. I always wanted to have some cabin announcements with my flights but for some reason FS Recorder won't record it. Secondly is there a way to start FS Passengers in a middle of a flight after saving it because its hard to just sit there for hours in a long haul flight? Thank You

Hi there!!Im having problems getting good fps with fs9. Im getting 8-11 on the ground at Imaginesim KLGA and Ifly's 737. Everything set to mid-max. Good Day I have FS9 and everytime I load a flight to fly with a B777, the panel only shows for a few seconds before the screen goes black with a option to restart FS9, what can the problem be? Regards

Really love that Dassault Falcon 50 made for FS2004 but there seem to be no sound packs for those Garrett TFE731 turbofans...was wondering what everybody else is using... Thanks!

Hiya, I've had and used Radar Contact for a long time, and generally wouldn't use anything else, but a friend of mine is just starting to get into FS and is using the default MSFS ATC, as he finds the RC interface a bit unfriendly and for now likes the VFR facility and prog taxi on the default ATC. But there are the old problems I've not considered in a long time.... the almost inevitable requests to go around at busy airports (and huge go arounds that are subsequently vectored), the weird "turn left, turn right, turn left, turn right" vectors on approach, instructions to drop 20000 feet in one go and the nonsenseical progression on handovers (Manchester approach vectorin…

Hi There,I just downloaded the PA A380 base package, and intalled it, where I got 4 folder.1- A380-800, 2- A380-841, 842 and 861.Now in the 800 folder there is all the panels: Panel, Panel PA and Panel VAS.after installing the liveries, I get in the main display (2D) panel an empty windows, no panel.The VC I can see the panels and the gauges..Can you please advise, whey I cannot see on any plane any 2d panel.They are related to the A380-800 folders where there is the panels.Thanks for any adviseRegards

Hey!Somebody can tell me where to place the Flight1 USA roads in the Flightsim scenery Library? Should they be above addon scenery or under addon scenery, and where exactly? Or should they be just above default scenery......No matter where I place these, always I have an obstruction and I have to restart FS9 after unactivating these roads scenery......Please help me?GreetzJive1

Are there any decent textures for the small buildings and hangers seen at many of the smaller airports? I have AEU7 and the extra textures he intended for 8, and they make a lot of buildings/terminals at major airports look great. But.... I still have the same blurry and crappy looking buildings that I taxi up to at small strips. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I'm installing FS9 on my new OCZ Solid 3 hard drive but FS9 folder which contains fs9.cfg (and scenery.cfg I thought) isn't created. (I'm using windows 7 and all folders are displayed... AppData/Roaming/Microsoft...) That way, on each FS start I must accept End User Licence Terms (but I found a tips to disable it with regedit) and all of my settings (graphics, window mode...) are reset to full screen and default... I am getting an upgraded pc, with intent to reinstall fs2004 and dozens of addons.My os will be windows 7 32bit.I have read somewhere that a reinstall has to be in a certain order plus other tips like; Install fs2004 NOT in the default location but a newly created folder in like C:/FS2004 Disable antivirus during installation I have so many addons that I'm not sure what order to reinstall them- scenery first then aircraft?This what I have- not a full list.
