Hi I installed fshotsfx 1.1 and try to extract all the ai sound files that I downloaded from the web into the aiblast folder and added the entries in the aircraft config file of the ai aircraft(fruit stand). I also started up fshotsfx and went to the part where I clicked on the 'refresh ai' button. After restarting the game I still could not hear the newly installed ai sound, still only the default ai sound. What could the problem be? Regards

hello, I posted this over in the bush forum. But, will probably not get input over there because of use. I have been flying the fantastic Bill Lyon's Goose as of late. Awesome work and awesome plane. I have really been getting her into and out of some short dirt strips. Has anyone else noted this plane can (STOL) handle the bush (land landings) quite well? I still use her on the water. But, her land use is quite capable. todd

Just a quick question, I want to install a package to upgrade the night lighting in FS9 and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations before I download and install or buy anything. From what I have seen, a good payware one is Zinertek's Night Environment 2010 which looks very good judging by the video. But what about freeware? I have seen a couple in the Avsim Library, one called Ultimate Night Environment by Maurice Roenick but it looks quite an old product (2005), although it could still be quite good. What I am looking for really is not just a night environment product that will just illuminate landmarks but more so roads, that's why I kind of like Zinertek's Nig…

What is the best scenery for FS2004 that is FRAMERATE FRIENDLY and is precise. This is for any place in north america. I Don't care which city state etc. It has to be for FS2004

Has anyone else had "fe.dll" errors when using this repaint on the FS9 LevelD 767? I get an MSFS "fe.dll" error every time I use it. I can use any other LevelD 767 repaint and it works fine. I'm just wondering if I'm the only one?

I just want to find out the proper way of climbing. After take off, I usually do 2500 fpm, then decrease it to 2200, then 2000, then finally 1800 fpm. I'm not sure if that's correct. Maybe someone can corrct me if I am wrong. Also when should I retract my flaps? I'm not real sure If retract it at the proper time. Cheers

Just wondering if there's anyone out there that wouldn't mind building a very nice version of the new WTC that's currently being built in FS9. The pictures of how it will look when it's finished is very impressive. I have the payware Manhattan scenery and it's about time the World Trade Center rises again. It would be cool to see the 9/11 memorial in FS9 in all it's glory and those awesome new buildings rising into the New York sky line. We have freeware versions of the old twin towers, it would be nice to see the new version in FS9... Thanks in Advance.

Suddenly, near all the airports in Spain had disappeared, exception made of two or three special addons. I only can see grass land and some static airplanes. Buildings and runways disappeared.This only happened in the spanish airports. Rest of the world airports remain as before. I have a lot of aircraft and scenery addons and never before had such disaster.Please HELP and many thanks to all simmers.

I've searched and can only find topics using FS2004 AFCADs for FSX. How about the other way around. Can FSX AFCADs be used in FS2004? Thanks.

I am getting out of memory (OOM) errors in the French Riviera. I am running FS9 in XP with the following scenery installs for the region: France VFR Riviera, Mediterranean LC and WC and a bunch of other France VRF sceneries including autogen. I had these installed in the approved order.Ultimate Terrain Europe.FSG 19m mesh. I have systematically un-installed these one by one. The OOM errors have gone away but the scenery is now a complete mess with hills of water here and there near the coast, roads in the water, and waves running in umpteen diagonals near the shore. It seems my scenery un-installs have been incomplete. So now I have a choice. Either, I try to reinsta…

If someone uses Ultimate Terrain and the add-on freeware aspenski.zip, I would appreciate any help on this issue. I'm trying to tweak my Aspen, CO scenery so that I don't see two rivers in the valley on approach to the airport. The photo below shows the two intertwining rivers to the left of the airport: The aspenski scenery file adds ski slopes and changes the positions of the highway and the Roaring Fork river approaching the airport. If I turn off the Aspenski scenery then there is only one river in the valley, which is from Ult Terrain. WHat I would like to do is inactivate the portion of the aspenski add-on that contains the river, yet maintains the ski slopes (and…

When starting FS , and also when loading a flight , FS9 seems to get stuck, the loading bar stops at 53% or 32% or what ever number for a while ( can go up to 5 min) . Pressing Cnt-Alt-Del I see that fs9 is "not Responding" . If I wait long enough, it contunues and load fully.I had this problem for a long time , but I thought because I have a year old installation of FS9 with many, many add-ons. But now it is happening with a fresh installation of FS9 with only FSGlobal, The Megasceneries , Ultimate terrain and Ground environment Pro, only !Sure many might be familliar with this probplem. But I wonder why it is happening, and how can I resolve it.Many thanks for any help…

Landing in EBBR I guess the default FS9 file is interfering with my 3rd. party airport (see screenshot in FSNavigator): the a/c wants to land off to the left of my runway (25L, 110.35) on ILS approach, so I have to disengage Ap and land manually - I don't know what 'IBL' is - I never saw that before. At the airport I am also met by oncoming a/c as I taxi to the gate - another screenshot. I guess that is just a limitation of FS9 ATC? (And is that the Taj Mahal in the distance????!). Any ideas how to disable the default EBBR navaids, in case that is what is causing the problem? (Airport Design Editor 9x maybe?). ScanAFD shows no other AFCADs. Or is there some other cause? M…

I am guessing this is hard-wired into FS9, but does anyone (by any chance??) know if it is possible to get ATC to give 'climb/descend' instructions sooner than they do? The instructions to climb or descend tend to come 'too late' - just a couple of hundred feet or so before a given altitude is obtained, by which time, VNAV has switched off. Martin

Hi everyone,Having just got my hands on the VRS F/A-18 I broke out my joystick for FS9 for the first time in a while. All was going well up to the point I tried to assign a throttle axis which assigned in the key commands section just fine, but doesn't do anything in the sim. Just some things that might help now:-Saitek Cyborg Evo stick (using z-rotation for throttle-standard throttle axis)-In conjunction with Pro Flight Rudder Pedals-Windows 7 Pro 64bit-I've checked the sensitivities page and it looks fineThanks for your help in advance,Charlie

Hello i have big question about this plane days ago i was flying from lima to panama (737-700) the FSpassenger give birdstrike on take off , thats normal but when the engine stops i try to compensate with rudder it didnt response and the force of the engine make bank to one side and i couldnt do anything my big wondering them i been testing with friend and i realize the 737 ifly lock the rudder on air even if u have engine failure u cant move the rudder with joystick or keyboard or even checking the over head panel we test the 737 PMDG and u can without problem manage a engine failure is there way i can fix that on the ifly 737?
