Hi.I use a freeware updated version of the spotlight.bmp file, which controls the landing- and taxi lights. The problem is that this file makes the light invisible when in VC view (or my homemade 2D landingviews, like the one found in the old FS9 PMDG, with the difference, that my homemade ones are connected to the VIEW DOWN command, while in the 2D cockpit view.) The only fix is to switch to the default spotlight.bmp. That one makes the light visible in the VC view, but not in the Landing view.I wonder what factor controls this? Is there a way to alter the file in order to make it visible in all views?kind regards,johan

I've had this problem a few time recently but not had it before. I was flying find and everything was looking as it should then on approach to EDDT I get these blurry, low resolution ground textures. What is causing this and how do I fix it? Andy S

I keep reading simmers suggestion to uncheck the anti-aliasing box within FS9 when running Nvidia inspector. When I do this, I don't seem to have ANY anti-aliasing. I'm using the profile provided within Inspector. Any help or advice is appreciated, When I do enable the box, my quality is great.

Really getting tired of not seeing other aircraft someone said that I need to go into my settings and remove plane casts shadows . siad it was a direct x problem . This cant be that hard , Any one really know what I need to do ? Yes i have disabled all security stuff.... WHAT DO I NEED TO DO ... HELP!!!!!!!!!

Anyone using a modified(reduced friction) sim1,dll.I found several versions.Can someone explain the pros/cons and/or strange behaviour in using it.

Am looking for a good payware commercial Turboprop for FS2004. If not that then a good regional plane (Ksan-KLAX) for fs2004. Birthday this week and want to get myself a new plane. Thanks for any help. Brad

Good morning all, Just downloaded this wonderful package a few days ago (can't believe I missed this fabulous freeware offering). I've figured out just about everything (including opening the passenger and cargo doors); however, I noticed that the passenger stairs don't deploy. Is this by design, or am I missing something? I have just noticed that there is a duplicate flight number which I need to look into and correct if necessary. I only use WOAI for my AI traffic and the one that is causing duplicate flights in this instance is Monarch, to be precise it's MON7446 from EGCC to LGSK and to LGBL at the same time, ETD 0829 A/C A320 and A321. I don't know why there are duplicate flight numbers as I only have the one Monarch package installed, it's the current one from WOAI and not any previous set. Any ideas if this can be corrected please?

OK.. This is the weirdest thing. I was just looking through captured replays (with the freeware module fsrecorder) and I accidently chose the wrong type for the recorded flight (I had iFly B737-700 instead of -800) and I got an FS9 error message, which stated something about "aircraft initialization failure".. After this, NO iFly 737-800 are to be found in the aircraft list. They are all still there, in the FS9 Aircraft folder, and they are there if I try to edit liveries through the manager... So I ended up recently buying REX and installing the overdrive texture set as well. Although I have not had much time to experiment with it yet, there are a few nagging issues that I would like some basic help on. Firstly, I have read through the instructions and tried to use my common sense first before making this post. As of yet, I don't seem to be seeing the results when I load REX, everytime I start the weather is clear blue sky and does not seem to change, do I have to make any changes first in the settings in FS9 before I fly? Also, when I click on the 'Fly now' button once the weather has been loaded, it does not always start up automatically, it seems to be a bit…

I've had Overland's Incheon scenery since it first came out. Tonight I was looking at the Overland website and saw they have a update for the scenery. I downloaded the update and ran the update, but nothing happened. Can someone help me out? How do you get the update to work?

I have just started trying to use the VC view more but I am having a problem that is driving me nuts. I use the Flight 1 view utility, so I hold the mouse wheel down and move the mouse to pan which works very well. The issue is when I have to turn a knob like the HDG knob. I mouse over and use the mouse wheel to increase/decrease the number (with the wheel NOT held down). This increases/decreases the heading number like it should BUT it moves the view back or forward at the same time in the VC! It's so annoying! Is there any way to stop this happening? Andy S

I have over the last few months been trying(Freeware ) Add On airport sceneries ,in an attempt to add something new to my FS enjoyment.If your PC is a little elderly (mine is) you may want to give these examples a try (Framerate friendliness is an absolute must or sceneries are mercilessly deleted )My definite top of the pops ISD (Italian scenery design I think ) no longer active (SHAME) I have two sceneries so far.LIRF and LIMC These two are brilliant, there seems to no framerate impact at all (and that even includes animated vehicles buzzing about) and the night lighting is exquisite (after landing and shutdown you almost don't want to close the sim down its so good) …

Hi, I am setting up my new system and I am in the middle of that task.I noticed that in a scenery using common library trees, the trees textures are not shown (white bars)even though I have installed Gerrish's trees library.With the same configuration it was working on my previous system.Any ideas what to do ?

Dear all,I am trying to work with fs9.cfg to set-up the best appeareance possibile.Still not able to set-up bigger range for visibility of the most detailed scenery/textures (not visibility itself but the visibility of the best detail one).The same problem is with autogen. the objects are just appearing at about 4 miles in front of me. Hi There, I have installed lately my FS2004 Sim + all addon's on a newer system, this after 3 years of absence. While installing all my airports the first being my favorite Hub EHAM (Cloud9).Installed OK with the installer. I have an over speed warning that sounds in a Tupolev 154B I am flying (the a/c is from the zip file Tu-154b2.zip, not from Project Tupolev, though I have that latter installed too. Cannot locate the origin of Tu-154b2.zip now - may still be on avsimrus.com). It is SO loud and insistent (I know in the real world it is supposed to be, but I don't want it blasting out at me like this on my PC) I almost jump from my chair - and it goes on and on. I have just installed adobe reader x and it has converted all my aircraft air files into (well it reads) installer packege files.Ive tested a couple of aircraft and all seams OK.Why has it done this? Do I need to convert them back to original even though all seams OKThanks for the help Steve

I'm sure you all saw the announcement on the home page about a new company providing professional online ATC for FS9. I took a look at their web site and demo videos and I have to say that I am VERY impressed! This might be the answer everyone has been waiting for. Maybe the only drawback is limits on where you can fly, but I'm not certain about that. But all the demo flights seem to be in Southern California. In my case that would be okay, as I have the Megascenery SC photoscenery and Cloud9 KLAX along with all the great freeware that Shez has released, plus Mateusz's new KSNA. I've given up on FSX and reinstalled FS9 Now my Thrustmaster Fox2 Pro (USB) will taxi and do a takeoff roll but won't get very far off the ground. Have i got a setting screwed up? BTW..the FSX problem was that I NOW can't use my video card whereas it used to work albeit not very good definition. TNX JimD

A week or so ago I found that every time I selected an airport in the UK my system would crash. I tried disabling various sceneries, starting with the ones I had most recently installed and it did nothing. Then I tried disabling AI in case it was a particular traffic file - nothing. I checked for duplicate AFCADS - nothing. Finally I uninstalled every UK addon scenery I had, which is quite a few and then re-installed them one by one. I had no problem with the first scenery, and then the next, until finally I had reinstalled them all. Problem gone! But not for long - now I'm back with the same issue. I have a number of UK2000 sceneries that I've never had any problems with…
