Any current user information on the Mindstar or CLS G1000 panel? I've read on other forums that Mindstar appears to have stopped G1000 development, and no one's posted anything on CLS's G1000 forum since 2009. I read good initial reviews on both products but would prefer to go with one that's still actively supported. Anyone have some experiences this year? Thanks! Frank

Hello everyone,A while ago a heads-up was given at this forum for an Aerosoft release of the new runway 07L/25R at Frankfurt/Main (a temporary solution preceding a renewed scenery of the airport). The Aerosoft homepage now also mentions this update and gives a link to the support database. However, when I login and select MAF Frankfurt, I just see an (older) update 1 which is for the CD version of MAF only and has nothing to do with the new runway. Apart from that there is a solution for not wanted static a/c. So where can this runway update be found? Thanks in advance for any input.Kind regards,René

HiI am trying to get VHHX to start my takeoff roll on R13 instead of R31. I had this problem before and was helped and have been successful 3 or 4 times but this time no dice. I am using instructions given to me by Ronzie that worked fine up until now.For modern designed files it is safer to user than AFCAD 2.21. Optionally you can use the payware AFX utility. AFCAD was designed prior to the full specifications for FS9 scenery being published. Developers when getting the full information used upgraded tools to perhaps add additional elements including AI approach data that might be lost when saving a file with AFCAD 2.21. A reader on the iFLY support forum by the name of Sergey raised a question about Mike Ray's article "Transitions" featured in the latest issue of Computer Pilot Magazine which can be downloaded free.I emailed Mike about a possible error in the article. hi allmay i ask is anyone could tell me why my ai traffic models turn 180 on landing and taxi along the size of the runway or sometimes off away from the airport.please note that i am using just flight traffic 2005 and using there models the plane exit the runway at taxiways. this problem has only happend since i added and replace the models with pai, aia djc, tfs models. the new models taxi find from gate to take off runway. i have also tryed mod's to my afcad files. but no luck.thanks gary j

Hello, I am a fs2004 user, and this problem with me has been haunting me since the beginning of time. I have planes from PMDG, and Captain Sim; and they come with a virtual cabin; however, STUPID fs2004's limits of walking doesn't allow me to go into the virtual cabin!! (SHIFT+CTRL+BACKSPACE) etc. It only allows me to go back so far.In FSX, it's unlimited!!!! WHY???? So, my question is, how can you physically change the limits like in fsx, so it's unlimited? In fs9.cfg? I'll do whatever it takes.-F1_View Module does nothing, the controls don't work. I don't have a mouse with wheel scrolling-Active Camera doesn't work either, the controls do nothing in the sim.

Occasionally I still dig out my Werner Schott aircraft guides just to refresh my memory concerning cruise speeds ,landing etc.For the Fokker 100 the cruising speeds at Alt approx FL280 TO 320 are M70 this is a lot slower than other small commuter type aircraft. Are those CSps correct or has dear old Werner made an error in this case?Andy

Hi everybody ...as I couldn`t find any realistc landing lights in the net, I tried to do them myself. Problem: after editing, those lights enlighten only the forward third of the runway, the (more important) rest stays almost dark. What is going wrong? I really don`t want to land with that shining bright light anymore ...

Okay, many people may find this crazy but I am seriously considering getting back to FS9. Why, well most if not all of my add-ons are both FSX/FS9 and in terms of performance I see only better values with the older sim. I am looking for everyones thoughts on what I would have to do to get fs9 up to todays standards with add-ons such a terrain/wx. I have no complaints with FSX except performance. I understand FSX is currently the standard but it has almost become too much of a cartoon. Tom

Good afternoon all,I am trying to get my hands on a Singapore Airlines paint by Tom Harlaar for the old V3 model of Project Opensky's 747-400 variant. Does anyone know where I can download the scenery for the aircraft bone yard at Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson, Arizona? I found a file in the AVSIM library but for some reason it does not show up when I fly, not sure if I am in the right place to see the scrap aircraft, but the package does not include the scenery anyway.I am quite intrigued to see how it would look after seeing the clips before a programme starts on channel 4 (those who live in the UK will know what I mean!).

I have recently been installing packages from Military AI Works to give my flight sim some extra aircraft and I never realised just how good they are.Not only are the AI aircraft are very good but included in most of the packages is scenery for the local bases and airports, call signs for editvoicepack and something which I would highly recommend for anyone to watch if they have a bit of time, are the airshows.So far I have only installed the European packages and have recently installed the Finnish ones, at one of the airports/bases; Kauhava AB (EFKA) there is an airshow where you can watch the jets fly in formation and do fly-by's etc. Best of all I have a programme whe…

I see Just Flight are releasing a complete free product on Monday 7th November as per the title of this post but unfortunately it's for FSX. It's a pity it is not for FS9 as well. I am quite tempted to download it anyway and save it just in case I ever do decide to use FSX.It may be a long shot but I wonder if there is anyway some kind of patch can be made in order for it to work with FS9? Being a free product which looks pretty cool, it may be too good to miss in case something can be developed to make it FS9 compatible.Just a thought....(or am I dreaming?!)

I have the ATR 72-500, and whilst COM1 works perfectly, when I try to set the frequency of COM2 to the above position, whilst the small red act blips, (see attached) the figures do not swap places, yet they do on COM1. Anybody have any ideas please. Yes, both buses are on.ThanksJohn

I'm encountering a problem that I've been unable to resolve. I just built a new system based on the I5 processor and an Intel motherboard. I'm still running XP Professional. FS9 is running normally in all respect but one. The throttles are ineffective. Even at full throttle I cannot get any aircraft to so much as taxi. I've tried multiple approaches including FSUIPC bypassing FS9, and CH Control manager. I have the CH Flightsim Yoke, Throttle quadrant and Pro pedals.I enabled the brake notification,The only clue I have is that, when I release the parking brake, the message says that the toe brakes are continually being applied! I am having problems when turning on the ILS before landing. Just as I'm cleared to land, I turn on the NAV button, the aircraft turns and lines up with the runway, but it doesnt descent anymore, I have to do it either on the ALT with the AP, either manually. It used to descent to the runway before, than in the last 100 meters I turn off the AP and land it manually.Can anyone help me with the issue ?Thank You

Hi,I am considering to purchase a copy of Ultimate Terrain USA. However, I already have quite a few sceneries installed in the US and I wonder if it´s possible to install UT on top of them?Should I just put the UT scenery underneath the other sceneries in the Scenery File Library or do I have to re-install all my addons?Kind regards,Johan

The install went as usual (I did manually choose my FS9 folder, since it didn´t show up in the field as default).However, no NAX flights are to be found.. What´s wrong?I should add, that my current AI were all moved manually from a backup FS9-drive into my new installation on my new system. If it makes any difference.. I downloaded and installed new moon textures now when I go intt the sim to see the new textures no matter what date I put in the sim I can not find the moon. Did I delete the moon? I do have REX, maybe that has something to do with it? What date can I put so that I can guarantee I see a full moon?
