HiI have a number of aircraft that have the default GPS500 but have no VOR/ILS or ADF gauge. Is it possible (both IRL and in the sim) to make a flight using only GPS waypoints (NOT GPS-direct)?

Hi All:I just got the YAK-40 from Supronov Design. Can anyone tell me how to get the flaps up and down please ? I have everything else running and have a flap swicth on my CH dual throttle quadrant, but when I press this swicth the flaps do not work. I have no problems with other planes.Many thanks for any advice as it is a cool plane !JB

Hello AllI used to use a Saitek Cyborg joystick. After years of sterling service this finally expired .One thing I could do with the Saitek was map the F9 key (open close FSNavigator) to a button on it.My next choice of stick after the demise of the Borg was the Thrustmaster X Hotas, now this stick for its price is by far the best I have owned ,but for one little thing, I can't program the F9 key (as I could with my old Cyborg (silly names) this is only a minor ,but nonetheless irritating problem as every time I need to open FSNav (flight planning or inflight) I have to keep reaching for my keyboard each time and it can be really annoying (probably doesn't sound so ,but…

After reinstalling FSX recently (after a HD went south on me), I started up FS2004 and got the EULA acceptance window. I clicked "yes" and FS2004 started up without a problem so I didn't give the odd incident further thought. I just happened to click on the "about" option under the Help menu and notice that instead of listing the Product ID number the screen says "Product ID: Registry Error". FS2004 starts up ok, but is this going to cause problems down the road? Will it keep addon scenery or aircraft from installing properly (if at all)? What's the best way to fix it? Uninstall the fs9.1 update and FS2004 itself then reinstall both or uninstall the former and just …

Hi: I am having all sorts of problems with the "View" function in windowed mode...I cannot get the views back to the normal cycle of views...Weird things happen...Panels are superimposed over other panels, scenery appears in front of/behind other scenery, etc...The normal cycle command (S) works fine in full screen mode, but does very strange things in windowed mode...Any advice that could get me back to normal would be appreciated! I posted this in the scenery forum but thought that there may some on this forum that may also be able to solve the problem. I have installed the Anchorage AK airport by Wil Morgan but have a flatten problem. I've emailed him and he has tried to fix the issue but is unable to get his program to work to correct it. He suggested that I post this on various sites to see if anyone has seen the problem and has corrected it. If you have, I would love to know what I need to do. The lake next to the airport sits on a mound instead of being flat. You can se it toward the back of the photo. Please see the screenie.Thanks for any help.Jim D.

Hey I am new to the site..I have had a problem with the Level-D 767 I just got. I try to do the FMC waypoints and it says "Not in Database" . What should I do ? I went to this site where they had all the updates but it cost money to buy the points to get it. I am not paying for updates on the FMC of an aircraft I just bought...Worst comes to worse I will just use the GPS. How do I get the default GPS, or a downloaded one, into the Level-D 767 ?

Getting hanging multiplayer connectiing via lobby box when clicking on squawkbox 4 module within FS9. Uninstalled/reinstalled SB 4 and uninstalled/reinstalled avast av. Suspect corrupted multiplayer.dll within the modules folder of FS9. Request vector to which disc this file is located on FS9 discs? Also, how do I view files within .cabinet folders? Lastly, any potential problem with copying over corrupted .dll file?Thanks!

Hello,i am now using my fc2004 more and more seems more real?Can anyone tell me how to make the auto rudder work like it does in FSX when in fsx i just sort the plane out ready for take off or taxi and everytime no matter where the plane is it always runs straight and steers with my CH yoke perfectly (i dont have peddles) with the auto rudder box ticked?,, But in fs2004 with the auto rudder also ticked i still have to fiddle with the rudder to make it run down the runway straight and its all over the place? can you help please.Thanks as always...james.

I have searched for this on Google, but it always seems to be the result of some 3rd. programme. My problem is that I keep getting the error message "Microsoft Flight Simulator 9.0 has Stopped Working" when I close FS9 normally, after a flight. I click the cross at the top right-hand side of the FS9 window, or choose Ctrl+C, or one of the 'usual' ways to close FS9, and choose 'yes' at the prompt as to whether I want to close FS, but get this error message - Windows then goes on line to look for a 'solution' (I cancel that, and the restart of FS9).Is there a log file that might say why this is happening? Anyone else had this and found a solution?Thanks,Martin

I can connect to SB 4 in FS9 with no issues, but once connected I no longer see other SB traffic...although I can hear radio comm fine. Any thoughts?Thanks!

WOW!!!!!!This is so much fun, I'm actually getting frame rates in excess of 50 and the whole flying experience is really really great. I thought my system would be good enough for FSX and while it does a pretty good job with it I don't get anywhere near as I do with FS9, OK FS9 isn't as pretty as FSX but it ain't that far off and the performance on my system is great.What I noticed is that when you can get at least 30FPS or more the whole flying experience improves massively, unfortunately in FSX I can't get anywhere near with the same amount of detail. Hello AllLast night i thought i would give the ATR 42-500 a run out as I haven't used it for quite some time.The panel is quite a smart one but! I cant work out how to select the comm 2 radio.On some aircraft there is an option on the radio stack to select both (this is very useful as I like to have comm2 assigned to the ATIS of my destination.On this particular panel there are both comm 1 and 2 ,but if there is a way of selecting comm 2 (active) I cant find it.If i look under 'assignments' FS9 there is no key assigned for making comm 2 active eitherIf anybody can understand what i am talking about ,have you any ideas.PS I am not concerned about entering frequencies into…

Love this plane, but the gps and weather radar won't turn on. I admit to not reading the manual closely, but I would have thought it would be straight forward. I am running Win 7 64bit. I went over to Digital's Cheyenne forum, but saw no postings this calendar year. Trafficinfo.dll is in the root folder of FS9. Any help is appreciated.

I was wondering if anyone here knew how to remove the altitude alert warning sound in this plane. I've already tried replacing the particular gauge with the default King Air gauge, but still here the sound. If not remove, what about turning the volume down. I'd rather not adjust the sound settings in the sim, itself due to other aircraft.I've also looked in all the different gauge and sound folders but cannot locate the file responsible.Thanks for any help.Robert

Does anybody know why the FMS on my ATR 72-500, will not allow me to input the Gross Weight (GW) and the ZFW figures? I just get a messeage saying INVALID ENTRYI'm sure I have the figures worked out ok, as follows:Empty weight = 29762Payload = 12734GW = 42496 in tons - 42.49Fuel = 5597.6so ZFW =36898.4 in tons - 36.9Am I doing something wrong with the FMS?Thanks John

Hey guys!I'm desperetaly trying to find a solution. Yesterday I had no problems flying in FS2004. Today I installed some new add-ons and all of a sudden I doesn't load. I observed it in the Task manager and it disappears the "fs9.exe" disappears two seconds after I want to run it. Then I tried all kinds of solutions. First of all the Add-Ons I installed between being able to run it and not were just additional AI-Traffic. Ok so I reinstalled the game and tried to run it without my Add-ons. It worked. Then I copied all my add-ons back. Same thing again. Then I did a system recovery from yesterday (I thought maybe some configurations screwed up my FS). Did that, was a hell …

Hello allI know this is not the right forum, but need help here so bare with.Today I. Managed by tinkering (trying to solve dpc lateny problems) to mess up my windows xp (32 bit home edition) I can start up the pc fine and windows also starts, but here is a description of the problems I am now having.1. Can't log onto the internet. Network connections folder is empty .2. IF I open device manager /hardware ,the usual list of items ie keyboards ,disc drives, usb devices is no longer there.
