Hello fellow pilots!I run W7 (64bit) on my half working Laptop, yes i get survivable FPS with okay settings A few days ago i installed the Majestic Dash 8 (v. 2.006) and enjoyed it till yesterday when i selected it and pressed "FLY NOW" FS won't start loading, it is stuck at 0% (See picture) and dont ask if I've waited for it to load, believe me, i have.Earlier today i tried to load the aircraft In flight, you load any aircraft and than from the toolbar select "Aircraft, Select Aircraft..." and select the Majestic Dash 8. This time i get like halfway loaded FS (See picture) I hear the sounds of the aircraft, same all the time, when i apply a little throttle nothing happen…

From Thai Creations. Looks nice, but, no doubt, heralds the imminent extinction of FS9 According to the developer it's being uploaded to Simmarket now, so should be available very shortly.

Good morning/evening people. I have downloaded a P51D MKiv Mustang from AVSIM Library. Unfortunately, it has no Control Panel. Repeated emails to AVSIM have gone unanswered. Anyone out there can assist, it would be greatly appreciated. Regards KO

Hi all, Is there any way to change a center's call sign on a particular frequency in FS9? 125.7 is sometimes referred to as "Nassau" center or "Miami" center, depending on the geographical position of your departure point. I'd like to change it to Miami center permanently since that's how it is in real life. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.J.C. (MYNN)

The aircraft is the POSKY 747-400V4 with updated FDE's and airfiles applied. I've attached 3 screenshots to illustrate what is happening. Pic # 1 shows the AC nose wheel on centerline with engines off. As engines 1 & 2 (left side of AC) are started and brought to idle percent, the torque of the engines is causing the AC to slowly pivot to the right of centerline as seen in pic # 2. Use the nose strut for reference. After all engines have started and achieve idle percent, note the position of the nose strut in pic # 3. Is this correctable within the airfile or the aircraft cfg file, and if so, what parameters need to be changed? No other AC I have does this. Thx

Can anyone tell me why lighting is so patchy....i have shockwave lights V1.2A and the lights against the engines are soooo grainy...

Hi all,Recently, I find the location of top beacon light on posky 777-300er is wrong. It should locate in the front section of fuselage. I have been searching for a fix. The only one i can find is for the normal model, not the VC one. I wonder if i have missed something or there is no fix for it? Since there is no support from Posky anymore, I really hope someone had looked at this problem. Thanks.Danny

I use the global weather update every 15 min. and on some flights I just happened to check the weater menu because the weather didn't seem to update. I noticed that it switched to user definded weather. I clicked on the update weather every 15 min. and weather changed to the correct weather for that area. After flying awhileI checked it again and it changed back to user definded. Changed it again and flew some more and checked again and the weather in the menu stayed at global weather update every 15 min. So I kept flying and a little while later I checked again and it went back to user definded weather.I can't figure out why the sim is not staying on global weather every…

Cannot download files, is it me or a system problem?

I've just had a CTD due to a problem with flight.dll.I've never had this problem before - has anyone else had it, and found out what the cause of it was?Best regards,Peter Keenan

Hello,I'm using HDE V2 textures and ASE as weather engine. My problem is that during night flights, when cruizing of sometimes when landing in fog the textures turns blue. It can sometimes switch between blue and black a few times. It looks like this :(Screenshot is from Sascha91 on another post)Do you know what can be the problem ? The textures ? Settings ? I've been changing from video card since I got this problem but I still have it with my new GTX560.Thank you,Maxime.

OK this isn't a major problem but just looks a bit odd.When viewing the 787 from outside be it spot view or tower the wing tip lights flash correctly in the correct place but there is also a second set that sit about 2 feet or so above in the air floating around.I've checked on the FCS WEB site but couldn't find any patches or anything so I thought I'd come and ask you guys if there's anything I can do to correct the issue.Any ideas?CheersMartin.

Hey guys,Im trying to install the new ORD update from FSDT and the flightbeam SFO scenery i just bought. But i get a runtime error. 98:835 104title-CHEP_LAP_KOK. I haven't used the sim in months. How do i go about fixing this.Thanks in advance.

I download scenery for Campbell River, before I installed the scenery I wanted to see what the area looked liked. I loaded up the deafult scenery and my FS9 crashed. Ioaded it again and I saw that the progress bar got to terrain right before it crashed. Any idea what I should look for to stop the CTD's?I do have scenery for Victoria, Nanaimo, and Comox installed all made by Don Grovestine that is in the same area as Campbell River so one of those may be causing the CTD but I am not sure what to look for.(I put the AI traffic slider to 0% and the sim still crashed so it's not a AI problem)

Hi simmersI have the CS 757 for FS9 and i recently started flying again, but apon loading the 757 (version 2.2) i got a sudden CTD.....I remember when i last flew it about a year ago (i had removed FS from my PC for a while and only recently installed it all again) it was rather and annoyingly demanding on frames.....Is the QW 757 any different?

Sorry for the sentimental title. We are all aware that developers are slowly turning to FSX, it's a matter of time until they really focus on fsx. Well nothing is wrong with that. But due to the large numbers of fs9 users, will we, fs9 users, still be able to fly the next PMDG's T7? That's all I ask. I realise that the Douglas I am flying now may be the last product they released for not only fsx but also for fs9. I really enjoy flying the Douglas a lot, and also the Queen and NG for fs9, years back . Nevermind the NGX as IMO we have iFly as a decent replacement for the series yet I'm a bit worried that the T7 will never be released for fs9. I browsed here and there yet t…

Just noticed on the Simmarket website that REX is being sold at 50% off on all products, not just for FS9. So if anyone is still debating if they should buy it then I would, in my opinion certainly say yes, especially if they do not have a weather engine programme already installed.Unfortunately for me I should have waited a little longer (if only I had known about this sale!), as I was up until quite recently debating if I should buy this product which I did in the end and have not regretted it, that was only about a couple of months ago which I paid full price so as you can imagine I am gutted knowing I could have got it half the price if only I had waited a bit longer.…

i have been using fs for years now and never encountered this problem. but today, all of a sudden, when i played fs9, i notice a lot of flickering on my screen. the red information text on top is distorted and i begin to see strange bitmaps appearing everywhere. sometimes, the entire cockpit view would be like a screen shot of an entire bitmap file of the aircraft. i am not sure if this is a hardware problem, but all my other programs seems to work fine. i tried updating my drivers, defrag my computer, cleaning registries but the problem persists.here are some screenshots of the game. here, the bitmaps are showing around the plane body here, changed the scene to day time…

I am trying to update my FS, but when I run the update it give me the error "The Flight Simulator 9.1 Update appears to be installed already. The installation has been canceled." Is there a way I can force the update? I tried to update once before but the update never completed for some reason. I uninstalled FS restarted and cleared out all of its folders.Thanks,

Hi all,We have been working on a retro/classic scenery for the western Pacific, and came up against a very bizarre problem - with no addon scenery activated, some people have flat islands, and some have mountainous islands. We could not figure out why for the longest time, because the solution is just so weird.It turns out that there must be an active traffic BGL file in the Scenery/World/Scenery folder for the mesh to appear. Many classic pilots have renamed the default traffic030528.bgl file, and placed their addon traffic BGL files into separate scenery folders. This leaves no active traffic BGL files in the Scenery/World/scenery folder. You then end up with flat islan…

So im trying to work out how to set a few wingviews with the Overland Simmerssky A330sBelow is a screen of the default already made wingview that shows when i press num 1 or 3....Then here are 2 others that i added to the panel cfg courtesy of a CLS A330, now what i want to know is...can i remove the default wingview and replace it with picture 2s larger view of the engines and have the "on wing" views work when i press num 4 or 6?!?!How would i go doing this?!

All of a sudden my keys ( Esc. ,and anything shift +) will not work. They have been, and I have not changed any key settings. How can I fix this ?

Hi: Which scenery adjustments should I mess with to try to get rid of what I can only call, "sparkling" in some scenery? Seems to be worse in denser areas...Don't know how else to describe it!Thanks,Steve
