This has been a problem bugging me for a while. Taxiing in FS2004 (and FSX) is fustrating for me due to the lack of traction. I am flying my CLS A300-600R and I'm trying to make a turn in my aircraft and even though it is indeed making the turn, it seems as if i'm drifitng around the corner with my nose wheel doing absolutely nothing.I was wondering if there was a fix for this such as a payware program or a simple change in the aircraft.cfg that i could make in order to get my aircraft to stick to the taxiway during my taxi.Please note that my wind speed has been set to zero so there is no chance that could be the reason why. It seems that (new?) simulation products have been recently launched.The already discussed "Flight" by Microsoft and another one I've found navigating the net: "Prepar 3D" by Lockheed Martin (the aircraft builders?).They say it is "only" $ 499 per license but it does not seem to offer anything that FS9 or FSX didn't offer before except a ten times higher price...or maybe I'm wrong?.Anyone has more info about this product?.(Please move if wrong forum.)

Good evening,yesterday a new AI model of the Sukhoi Superjet 100-95 by Ahmed Bouhashi (ABAI) was released. I used GWAI's model so far and wanted to make a little test. Placed 50 Superjets at UUEE with clean weather, using UUEE Scenery by mozila et. al. (from avsim.su) and CIS landclass / Moscow buildings by unnt.ru MegaProject. With my system - 4GB RAM; 2,9 GHz AMD Athlon Dual Core; WinXP SP3 - I got an average of 14 fps with GWAI and 15 fps with ABAI. This is more of a programming question regarding modules.The Saitek switch panel has to be launched manually from the desktop icon that was place during the initial install. All communication to FS9 is doing via FSUIPC.What I would like to know is there a way to either create a module to lauch the switch panel app when flight sim launch or a batch file or something! so that I don't have to alt+tab out to launch the panel.Has anyone done anything like this?

Hi guys.Is it possible to exclude UT lights from specific airport without disabling all UT lights?I'm looking Eiresim Luton and there is a problem with UT lights. Hi, I think I have my ENB ini file almost how I wanted it, however would like to know where in the ini I can adjust the ultry bright the whites get sometimes..1. I would like the whites to not be so so so bright2. Dear Simmers,Yesterday I came along with this link http://forum.avsim.net/topic/331236-pss-gpws-and-other-sounds/ and honestly I think that it is very useful especially if you are tired of listening the same old pss callouts, however I have a small problem. The problem is that whenever I would try to save the new amendments I have made in the XN Resource Editor it wouldn't let me, as an error message is coming saying that " System error code 19 - The media is write protected"Any Idea on how to fix this ? Guys this blew me away last night so I have to get as many of you to try this as possible. Since the base version of Flight is free, download it and let us know does it not run better than FS9 or your older hardware all the while looking better than FSX. You can turn all the gamey stuff off and just fly in a world that is on the level of Orbix and get better framerates than you get in FS9. I've never seen a release of FS able to accomplish something like this. We would've been doing good if a new system of the day of release ran FS9/FS2k2 good but two or three year old systems running a new version of Flight Simulator 'well' is unprecedented.I just want to see if this…

I've just returned to using my FS9 after a couple of years. I've had to reinstall the program due to now using an iMac. I've installed Windows 7 using bootcamp, which runs fine.However, I need some advice please guys:1) The best weather generation program available for FS9 - along with a download link??2) The best AI traffic program (which also allows for creation of user defined airlines/traffic) - along with a download link??Thanks for any advice!

I just went through a cold & dark setup for the tupolev 154 B-2, I don't feel like doing this all the time. Is there a way to save the setup so I wouldn't have to go through the whole procedure again?Thanks!

Running the PMDG 744, AES6.5 and landing at UK2000 EGLL, I experienced a first. An immediate crash to desktop and the alert window said I had run out of memory.I had recently installed a EnGTX550ti card, upgrading from a Geforce 8800GS 376MB. Even though the new card has some flash new graphics I feel the memory is being robbed.I read somewhere on the forums that in XP if you increase the RAM in your video card, you actually steal it from the memory board installed in your machine.I have 2GB memory on a P5NE-SLI Motherboard with a E7200 Core2Duo Intel chip.I recently upgraded my PSU to Corsair 650W.

I'm using WIN 7 I don't know if this a quirk of win 7 but everytime I activate FS9 I keep geeting meesages like scenery cfg error in sec 009.045,054,etc,etc I even turned back time removed and reinstalled it, and if it don't make any diffrence I'm not going to worry to much I just figured out how to add scenery, is there a set amount you should add or is there a limit????

HiJust wondered if there was a way of showing TCAS traffic on PSS 777, that shows all the traffic around you regardless of what level they are, a bit like the PMDG 744 that gives you the option to display more traffic on TCAS etc.Thanks in advance.

I am now having a 2 hour flight from UUEE to EGLL with MD 11. Tried to generate flight plan using IFR High Alt but it failed and I used direct GPS instead. FYI I'm using fscommander and imported the flightplan using pln2route to PMDG's flight plan folder. They mostly work quite well, but at ROMEL, the ATC keeps making repetitive instructions to turn left heading 235, then back to right heading 265 to resume own navigation. And it is pretty annoying. Now I have canceled IFR. Any idea? thanx.Regards

Hey,I was wondering if anyone has found a way to get the bloom mod working in a multi monitor setup?My setup - main screen running the VC, two other monitors running FMC, upper/lower EICAS engine displays and the overhead panel undocked. Bloom works fine until I move the panels to the other monitors. It has been a year or so since I last tried it, the answer back then was that it only works on single monitor setups so that's not an option for me. So have any gurus out there got it working in the last year?Cheers

Hello friends.Recntly i downloaded the kmso_ems_v2.zip and i can't find the Lost Children and the Fire Tower number 2 for this mission.For the second mission i don't know where is the XHB airport, ther is no such an airport or KXHB in fs9.The 3rd mission is ok.Does anyone something?Thanks for your time.John.

I used to be more than satisfied with the visuals I was getting in FS9 but these days they are becoming rather depressing. Admittedly, with Ultimate Terrain, REX, Ground Environment Pro and so on installed I may be asking a lot to get nice sharp ground textures, but others seem to - why don't I these days:? My PC is pretty high-end and I never have less than 2GBs of free physical RAM left at any time - so why do ground textures load so slowly, sometimes not at all? If it were a hardware problem I would expect all textures, including payware a/c to have similar difficulties, but airport buildings and aircraft liveries (like the PMDG 747) are always crisp and clear.The scre…

Hey all,I just downloaded KPSP scenery for fs9 (psp2004.zip) opened the AFCAD file in the editor to adjust some parking spot sizes and codes and when I'am finished save and restart FS9 and the changes have been made to the parking sizes and codes but now the old default fs9 scenery overlays the new addon scenery. I cant figure out how to get rid of the the default scenery that overlays now.....anyone got any suggestions?ps....I checked my other addon sceneries and they are still working fine.Thanks-Ben

I still have an older PC but it runs FS9 beautifully.Enough of that though, I just wanted to post a quick message to mention the recent releases for FS9 which make my enjoyment so much more incredible.The recently released Scenery by Ed Geener Cox is insanely beautiful, I can't help but do circuits around the feild to take it in. If you are considering buying this scenery for FS9, be warned that the advertizing for it is incorrect. It has NO ground animations in the FS9 version, in spite of the enthusiastic claims to the contrary. I have started a correspondence with Aerosoft support and hopefully it can be worked out, but until it is I advise you to spend your money on something else. I will let you know what developsIan
