I have a strange problem with FS9. When I try to start a flight at Dubai International (OMDB) or any other airport in Dubai, FS9 will load to about 3% and that's it. It doesn't crash but it doesn't advance any further. It will load airports in Saudi Arabia and Egypt though. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Has anyone else found that the HJG Boeing 727s (both the -100 and -200 variants) seem to be virtually uncontrollable by the autopilot at lower altitudes? I'm speaking here of speeds ranging from 200 KIAS down to around 132 KIAS (what I've been using for final approach speed with flaps set at 30 degrees). Changing flaps settings doesn't seem to matter much, either. At 200 KIAS, before turning onto base course, with no flaps deployed, turning the a/c causes it to begin to pitch wildly up and down. This usually settles after ATC informs me I'm 300 ft above my assigned altitude and the a/c seems stable again. On base, I set speed for 180 KIAS, still with no flaps deployed. Th…

Hi people,I have "downgrade" or some would say "upgrade" to FS9. However I do not seem to be getting the performance that I should get. I can run FSX fairly well and I'm only getting around 30-40 fps with FS9 while my friends on their older rig can run their FS9 from 80-110 fps. I have also patched the software to 9.1. The following are my CPU specs:Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 @ 2.33GHZRAM:3GBGPU:Nvidia GeForce 9500GSI really do not know what seems to be the problem with it and it is getting kind of frustrating. I'm new to FS9 and heard that it performs really well even on a mid end rig. Any help for this would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi All,I just downloaded the awesome Grumman Goose by Bill Lyon. It's a great plane, but I have pretty interesting issue.I can begin a landing on water, however as I slow down and become stationary, the Goose will shoot straight up (about 100 feet) and then nose over and just keep boucing up and down. Starting the aircraft on a water airport will do the same.I had crash detection off, turned it on. Same thing, except it crashes right away on the water. I had the flight realism settings all the way right, I moved the Crash Tolerance back to the left 'Easy'. FS9.1 / XP Sp3Iºve been running the 4Gb switch since for ever but following my latest re-sinstall I have two problems:I have edited the boot.ini, leaving only my entry but when the boot screen comes up:- it shows - highlighted - "Windows default" underneath my entry- my Logitech G15 is still "off" (no backlight, no screen, no key resposnse) anfd I cant make my boot choice, so I get the "Windoes default" (which I dont even want there) When the boot has run its timeout the keyboard comes on line.Any help much apreciated.

Does anyone have an accurate up to date afcad for Flightbeam's SFO for FS9? I have no problem editing it myself but for some reason when I do change gate assignments the default scenery ends up appearing in the scenery near the International terminal and you can see some default jet bridges also poking out.

Hello all,I was flying ATL-SJU last night, and realize it was a moonless night in FS9 (because everything was noticeably darker, naturally). Don't recall the last time I had such a night in FS, but yes, it was true to life with no visible horizon. However, taxiing after landing was the most frustrating thing because not only was most of the world around me dark, I realized taxiways and runways were pitch black as well. Taxi and landing lights only made the ground ahead of me a big white blur. I could see blue taxi lights and runway edge lights but absolutely no runway markings or even tell if I was taxiing on an actual taxiway, or just the grass between two sets of pa…

:( After installing the above airport all seemed all right,i departed and flew to Sofia another super airport,on my return to LTFJ on approach to ryw 6 all was fine until i tried landing the aircraft,as i started to flare the737 dived nose first into the ground,i tried another runway but the same thing happened.I`m at wits end as nothing seems wrong with the download,any ideas any one? :(

Hi all, I have been using PSS/posky merge for a while. Everything is great but there is always one thing that bugs me. I just can't get the right trim for a good rotation and takeoff. I have tried to follow the trim setting suggested in PSS weight calculator, but it always gives a number that the aircraft wouldn't rotate at all. Later, I try to use a trim that is 1 higher than the calculator suggested value, but that's too much. I wanna know if anyone here have this experience before? and how you guys deal with that?Danny

I've tried to reset my clock by setting the local time on my aircraft, and then saving it with a title and making it the default flight. I'm in the eastern time zone and the offset to GMT should now be 4 hours, but it is still showing 5. I cannot get it to show the 4 hour difference. I wonder if this is because DST now comes earlier and FS9 doesn't yet recognize it? Thoughts?

I note that Black Box Simulation have released the PSS Boeing 777 (including liveries) for what seems a reasonable price. Apparently groundbreaking at the time of original release this is now getting a little long in the tooth.Would appreciate any comment as to which is currently the finest 777 out there (or merge) as I plan on using FS9 for quite a few more years. :PMany thanks folks.

how do you get wingviews for the wilco E190? Im not talking about basic views like looking back at the engine. I want views like this: Ive tried adding my own 2d panel with wingviews that works for my other aircraft but for some reason with the Wilco E190 when I try to look out the wing instead I get a view of the cabin basically.Any help would be appreciated.

Installed Megascenery Pacific Northwest on my system a while back. Noted that in addition to it taking forever to load, I have a very snow covered Seattle, and fireworks in the city of Seattle whenever I fly over it. That said I removed it. Now unless I am on a runway at KSEA, I am kicking up dirt with my tires. This occurs everywhere except, as mentioned the runways. Tried a couple different afcads, checked for duplicates, and found the only thing that will fix the "dirt" issue is to run the Megascenery PNW. Any ideas what may be going on or has happened to cause this? Thanks in advance.

Hi guys.I just got this amazing freeware scenery however im having a bit of trouble with it.If i use the progressive taxi it doesn't seem to follow the taxi ways correctly, it seems to follow it as if the fs9 default airport was still there.Also my AI traffic taxi all over the place to, Is there a way to fix this?Hope to hear back.Thanks.

Hello.As I was searching around in google and in forums, I found many conflicting threads and statements. I would like to get it clear once and for all for myself. If I install GE Pro 2 stuff (all it has to offer), and then full REX package (all the textures it has to offer), then what happens if I run ActiveSky and also submit GE Pro stuff that it submits from there. Does it overwrite REX cloud textures or not, or what else conflicting it does, if anything at all.Thank you.

Hi,I recently downloaded the Samborski Yak-42 (Samdim Design) and am trying to get to grips with the very complex panel. I am sort of learning by trial and error (the pdf files only go so far) but I really need a step by step guide to how to get the a/c from cold and dark to take-off. Does anyone fly this a/c often enough that they could help?Thanks,Martin

It was a 4 hour flight from DME- LCY. This too was a test flight, the 3rd test to be exact, since I often had on and off CTDs when on final at EGLC (london x, uk2000) months ago, haven't figured it out but that was before I migrated to windows 7 64 bit. Hey guys, I am currently running FS9 on Windows 7. Lately, I have been getting Out of Memory errors about every other flight. Today I decided to apply the 3GB patch to stop the error. I followed the guide seen here: http://forum.simflight.com/topic/55994-set-fs-and-winxp-to-use-the-3gb-switch/ However, I don't believe the boot.ini file can be manually edited in Windows 7. When looking online I found that you can add the line: bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVa 2560 into Pommand Prompt. Command Prompt said that this was successful. Is this all that I needed to do to install the 3GB or did I do something wrong? Is there any way that I can check to see if FS9 is able to successfull…
