Hi Guys , I have a question for you ... Im using FS9 with multi monitors and I also have a samsung 10.1 Tablet with Android 3.2 I have a small app { screenslider} installed on both the desktop computer and the tablet to enable me to use my tablet as another monitor this works fine but I have no touch screen capabilities I love to fly the IFDG airbus with VASFMC I would like to use the tablet as my fmc , I have confirmed that my tablet takes finger touches and turns them into mouse clicks but it doesnt work on FS9 so my questions are .... does FS9 support touch screen capability ? does Vasfmc not support touch screen capability ? is it only PMDG that will …

Hi, I am expecting a resounding no, but I wondered if there is any way in FS9 of reducing the amount of Genral Aviation at airports whilst keeping the IFR traffic the same. As far as I can see, the options in the fs9.cfg file under [TrafficManager] are either enable or disable Airline traffic and enable or disable GA traffic. If I reduce % traffic, both are affected. But maybe someone knows of some clever utility? Martin

Flightplans created with the default FS9 flightplanner are saved as xxxxxx.pln, right ?... Inside the PMDG 'Flightplans' folder flightplans have either an .rte or .rt2 extension. Question(s) : how does one create a flightplan that can be saved as xxxxx.rte ? Can it still be done with the default FS9 flightplanner or do i need a 3th party flightplanner ? I have the Wilco Airbus Deluxe Volume 1 for FS9. I have this issue where I climb on managed mode and everything seems to be going well.I switch from TOGA to CL at 1500' and it maintains 250 below 10K' and accelerates to 280 for climb. On more than one occasion the aircraft just disregards the FD and goes into a steep climb. The FD is attempting to correct this by demanding a downward pitch the but the aircraft/autoflight is just not listening. I have to disengage AP and FD, and keep nose down pressure the stick to get my pitch down to 5 degrees, I re engage FD and AP and everything is fine, sometimes it happens again and I take the same steps. I am trying to make the VasFMC work with my Project Airbus A380. Unfortunately I have the "fuel bug" (=crash of VasFMC and sometimes of the entire sim when I push "Fuel calculation"). One of the things that VasFMC apparently needs is a complete and correct flightplan. In my case I have all the waypoints, no problem, but I noticed that beyond the SID - which has altitude constraints - the FMC does not insert cruise altitudes. Instead altitudes are "0" for all waypoints except SIDs and STARs with their altitude constraints. I did insert my preferred flightlevel on the INITpage. Anyone experienced the same problem? What's the fix?

Hi, For years I've used two monitors- one 20", the other a 19" 4:3 size. The 19" died on me and I replaced it with a MAG 22" LED H2201L monitor as the main scrreen. Now things appear very different, and frankly, not what I expected. The panels are stretched sideways, with the gauges compressed to ellipses, not like the round shapes before. It looks awful. Even the square display screns such as the ND look squashed. Now I know monitors come in wide mode nowadays but the result for FS is not optimal. The only plus is watching movies which look great on my new monitor. Any suggestons? Or is it a question of getting used to the new look. Eytan

I have been having this problem for years now, I go and set up the auto smoke in my airplanes such as any of the Jets, freeware and even payware for the heat shimmer to turn on auto with the light's switches such as Wing, Recognition, Taxi and Logo lights with the freeware XML files, and then I no more have control over those lights on my panels. As soon as there is one of those XML file entries into the panel folder config file that is attached to the aircrat config folder in the light section. Then those lights then become manually useless and is always stuck in the on positions even with the engines shut down and no smoke present. The XML files lock out the light switc…

I am having a problem at Bangkok (VTBS) airport. I have a freeware scenery for VTBS (I don't remeber where I got it from). I went to look at my AI at the airport and at first my AI is fine, but after about a minute my AI textures would go blank. Before when this happened I would try to exit the sim but that is when my computer would freeze and I would need to hit the reset button, but this time I sat there for a few minutes after the textures went blank trying to think what to check next and I noticed the textures popping back on! Hi, I got a real perplexing problem with the axis on FS 2004.This has nver happened before. The flight yoke shows up in FS and can be calibrated .The buttons work but not the x,y and slider axis. I have reinstalled the game used a different joystick pressed ctrl+shift to re- write the cfg file. The flight yoke works in Fly and X plane .I have reinstalled the USB drivers and flight yoke drivers. My joystick is a Sidewinder that uses the com port but its still not working. I am using the CS Legendary 707. However, the flight director does not work when the AP is off. I want to be able to follow the FD while the AP is off. With the CS 707, the FD only comes in to view when the AP is on - and then it's way out with the vertical navigation and only follows HDG. Do others have this same problem? Is there a fix? Otherwise, what other very good 707 panel is there avaiable for FS9? Trevor

Unfortunately I started having this odd issue with FS2004(note: I just started using fs9 a few days ago for the first time on this pc). I normally run FSX and this has never been a problem. I will start up FS2004 and everything will go fine. All of the sudden the panel on my aircraft will go away, a few seconds later the whole screen goes black. After another few seconds everything re-appears including FS2004. Then after this short display FS2004 crashes and I get a popup saying: "Display Driver Stopped Responding and has recovered". I obviously run more intensive situations on FSX with payware aircraft and scenery yet this has not happened. That then leads me to rule…

Hi. Searched "Pilot Voice" in the FS9 forums - no result. So in FS9 searched the fs9.cfg file, the aircraft.cfg file, the saved .flt file - and have set my default flight to use Pilot Voice 0, but when I open a different flight a different pilot voice is used (usually '7'). How do I set the pilot voice in ATC to use one voice, globally? (Where is the information on which pilot voice to use in any given flight stored?). Thanks, Martin

As you all probably saw, the AVSIM store is running a 25% sale on CLS products. I am considering getting the MD80 but just wanted to see what some of you who already have it would recommend. I know that there are much better MD80's available - especially the Mad Dog. But to be honest, I'm about maxed out on handling complex aircraft with full systems modelling. Heresy to some I know, but sometimes you just want to kick the tires and light the fires. As in the real world, there is a limit to how many aircraft you can be current in and fly competently. It is now the 3rd and I have yet to receive my authorization key, even thought the e-mail I received from simmarket says I should receive the authorization key no later than the next day. The reason why I didn't post this in Hardware Forum is simply to avoid unnecessary advices like "why sticking with fs9?" or "you should switch to this cpu and that GPU and this platform" and such instead of receiving direct answers to this matter. I do hope fs9 simmers will get my point as I DON'T have any plans in the near future to migrate to "that processor" or to "that newer flight simulator platform". Hi, a buddy of mine at work wants me to upgrade my machine so we can play BF3 together..but my joy is always Fs2004, which I look forward to with the upgrade. He wants to sell me following items for $50 total: MSI P55- GD65 Intel i5 750 and possibly a power supply that has more juice than what I have currently (if he still has it) I thunk its a great deal, I would just need a video card and memory What do you all think? thanks Bill

I've just returned to FS after a hiatus of several years and am really enjoying the return. I had a couple of questions I would appreciate your input on. 1. I am currently running FS 9 after years of FS 2002. I have an issue which has carried over concerning the auto spoiler deployment on big jets and on the biz jets I am currently flying. The issue is when I arm the auto spoilers on final, it won't stay armed. just jumps out and returns to stowed position almost immediately sometimes, and sometimes after a minute or two. Occasionally it will stay armed to touchdown and deploy as desired, but that is rare. No manner of calibrating the quadrant in Windows, FS, or FSUIP…

Hello, I've seen some nice effects on some add ons QW BAE146 and the PMDG NGX being a few with some nice strobe effects. I'm looking in how do edit some effects files to make the strobe lights on my aircraft reflect onto the ground at night like in real life. Also it would be nice to have them flash in time for example on an airbus it would be: Blink Blink pause Blink Blink pause etc. On a Boeing it would be Blink pause Blink pause etc.

When starting FS9 after creating s flight it loads with pause on and sound off. Any help would be much appreciated regards Brian
