In case you haven't noticed, Latin VFR, one of the most prolific producers of scenery for FS9, continue to assault our credit cards by releasing yet another great scenery addon - Cozumel MMCZ. Once I had sorted out the problems created by residual files from the FlyMex version of MMCZ, it was obvious that this was once again a quality product from Latin VFR. Not alone is the airport very well modelled, but a considerable amount of autogen detail is added for quite a large surrounding area including hotels etc on the coastline, which adds considerably to the sense of realism both while in the air and on the ground. Just getting back into FS9 again... I have Abacus EZ-Scenery...I have forgotten how and where to add my new objects libraries...i used to do it in my sleep...but old age wins ... Can anyone give me a quick step by step of adding these libraries please... I tried to add a Hanger object file...Followed all directions , and opened FS9 and then scenery...it shows , and was added, yet the objects are not actually there...I have lost my touch... frick many thanks

Can anyone give some tips on installing REX overdrive. I downloaded it this morning and when I try to install I get a message about an application not closing properly (or something like). I have FS9 running on Win7 64bit. REX is installed in my /programs files x86 folder. Thank you.

Hi, I really hope somebody can help me troubleshoot this. Over the past two days, when I start up FS9, the splash screen just sits there - "Completing Setup: Generating scenery file indexes' (or at the first splash screen if no changes have been made since last startup). It won't progress beyond that. In Process Monitor, I see that FS9.exe is not listed in the Process Name column (usually there are thousands of entries showing as FS9 starts up) - though FS9.exe *32 does show in Task manager in Processes. In the Application tab, it shows as 'Not responding'. The little blue 'thinking about it' circle (Win7) just sits there, rotating, when I hover the mouse over the FS9…

Is there a fs9.cfg tweak to display the OAT when using Shift+Z? We can already display average frame rates (Ave_Frame_Rate_Display=1), fractional minutes (Display_Fractional_Minutes=1), and wind direction/speed (WindDirectionAndSpeed=1,1). Is there a syntax for the OAT? TIA Regards, Dorian

Now that the custom textures are available for the iFly 737 feature pack I've given it another try after suffering from really bad frame rates when I upgraded when it first came out a few weeks back. Sadly for me, it's still unflyable no matter how much I tweak. I run FS9 on an 24" iMac (256MB ATI Radeon/4GB RAM/Core2Duo 2.8GHz) which is hardly a stellar performer, but it's adequate given that I can't justify a whole new PC for gaming only as I'm strictly a Mac boy. With all the nice stuff running in the background (GEX, REX, UTE, ASv6.5, FS2Crew, PFE) I can get a steady 21fps from the old version of the 737NG on the ground at UK2000 airports. Hi After loading Horizon's photographic scenery into FS9 with no problem at all i am now having a problem reloading into FS9 . When i try to reload after following the on screen instructions i have nothing in the add on scenery file in FS9 but all the files are loaded into the programs file on my "c" drive ok . I have tried all i know to get this scenery into FS9 with no luck , all three volumns loaded into FSX with no problem

Does anyone still use this add-on despite it being a few years old? How does it compare to FSLabs Concorde-X (I know this is a newer version for FSX)? Does anyone know if there is a fictional United livery (new colors) for this bird (if not, anyone willing to do one... )? I know these are very general questions but I was thinking about buying the SSTSim Concorde and wanted to get a general feel from those who own it. Thanks. Todd

can anybody help me ...Why do I have white blocks in the new scenery for LKPR and how do I fix this,,it looks like I have missing scenery textures but I dont see any mention of what I need to add or where I get the files from...please help

Hi, I want to know what I need to do to make the yellow taxy center lines in the distance not so jaggy even when I have 4X AA on in FS9. When I get close to them they are nice and smooth, its when they are far that it bugs...Almost like broken yellow lines in the distance.

I am hoping someone can help me as I have two overlapping river thames cutting throgh london, I have VFR london UTE and howards mix, how do I remove the rivers in these files or go about finding the offending files...thanks for any help

Just did the PSS panel to POSKY textures merge and all looks and works great except some 2D cockpit views. The forward view of the instrument panel and through the windscreen is OK; but other views are missing (ie. side views out of the left and right hand cockpit windows etc.). Is this because there is no VC ( the conversion intructions I followed did not allow for VC ), or am I missing these views for some other reason? Can they be added to what I now have (a merge with no VC)? For clarification, I'm not talking about "wing views" from cockpit >> only the side and other internal cockpit views when in the 2D cockpit. Back in the days when I used nvidia I used nhancer to set my graphic settings. Ive been using ATI cards for many years and Im back to Nvidia. So, question is, what is the most popular app for changing the graphics card settings for nvidia cards today? I dont like the stock app from nvidia. Thanks

I dont know why this is but everytime I land and request gate instuctions I am always directed to a gate or stand in a remote part of the airport even when there are plenty of open gates with jetways? Anyone have an answer to this? Thanks.

Hi Is it possible to uninstall PMDG B737 without reinstalling other PMDG a/c (B747, MD11)? I found on PMDG webpage Removal tool, but as I remember it will erase whole PMDG directory and some file like PMDGOption.dll necessary for B747 and MD11. I'm trying to register a msstdfmt.dll in my Window 7 System32 folder with 'Run & regsvr32.exe msstdfmt.dll' but I get a message telling me to check if it's compatible with x86(32 bit) or x64 bit version of regsvr32.exe. How do I do this? I need the msstdfmt.dll to run Excbuilder2.

Hi, The nav display gauge does not show on the main panel. I have reinstalled the game BBJ ver 3.5 and 737 ver 3. I am using FS9 and my system is xp with latest FSUIPC version 3.9.9.9 . Any help appreciated.

Have devloped a problem that is quite annoying. When hand flying any aircraft, the plane wants to constantly turn left. To get it to fly straight I have to hold quite a bit of right aileron. I have a PFC Jetliner yoke. Have calibrated it several times, and according to that everything is set up correctly. Have also tried configuring it thru both FS and FSUIPC, same result. Also tried setting the realism settings way back. Nothing makes a difference. Stumped on this one as it just started doing this. Thanks for any ideas. (BTW Win 7 64)

Finally after years and years of flying on my old machine (sig specs bellow), Im getting a minor upgrade to: Windows 7 64bit MSI P-55GD65 Mobo i5 750 2.66ghz, going to overclock to 3.4ghz 4gig memory EVGA Nvidia GTX 560 (PCI EXPRESS BABY!!!!) Should I see a significant improvement? I hope so. Now to back up all my 128gigs of Fs9 stuff on drives

In another post today Bill A, who is updating his computer, let slip that his FS9 installation amounted to 128 gigs. :Idea: Checking mine .... 230gig, 1.7 million files and 13,590 folders. Mainly payware I would add. Is it any wonder defragging is recommended? :Thinking: Apropos of nothing I thought it might me instructive to compare with the AVSIM community. What say you?

Hi All. I am doing a reinstall of fs9 in windows XP. For some reason I cannot see either Level d or I-Fly in my go flight config tool for the MCP Pro. I can see default and compatable in there but thats all,(PMDG and Wilco working ok). I have all the required bits but I think I may have them in the wrong places.
