Hi all I was wondering at which FL or at which point in the descent/approach pilots generally turn on the seatbelt sign? There are of course many rules and situations but let us just assume there is no turbulence, extensive holding or anything else, just a normal approach. I always put it on when at 10.000ft (the same where I put it off when climbing). Thanks!

Hi all, does anyone know if there is a "auto comply" setting for the default ATC? I used to use Radar Contact where it would hand of ATC control to the first officer which on long flights I can walk away from my computer with the autopilot turned on and the first officer changing frequencies automatically...from center to center. Is there something like that available for the default ATC system so I can walk away from my computer when cruising and not miss a ATC message? Thanks, Bill

Hi, I was wondering if any of you know where I can get the latest ZPPP airport scenery file for FS9. The stock scenery, or the original scenery that came with FS2004 is no longer in that location but is now about 12 to 13 N.E. from the old location. If you're sitting on runway 3 at the old airport, which is where you'll be when you load FS2004, the new airport is 058 degrees and about 12 to 13 miles. If you enter ZPPP into the origin field of the FMC, you will see that the airport is now N.E. of your position. So this is the thing: I would like to fly online, but I prefer to use the default FS airport sceneries. One of the reasons for this is I don't want the AI traffic to be taxiing on grass when I fly offline (since the default airport taxiway arrangements usually don't match with the add-ons), plus some sceneries are not very fps-friendly. Also, I don't wish to be downloading and installing new airports whenever I want to fly. Last time I flew on VATSIM was a few years ago. I guess I could try this myself instead of asking but it would take a little while and might not work. If I copy all of my FS9 disks to a hard disk would it be possible to then re-install FS9 from that hard disk instead of all the individual CDs? If so, would I need to copy each CD to its own individual folder or would I just have to copy all four CDs to the same folder? Many thanks for any advice. David

Hey guys im getting the hang of FS-Cargo love the addon but im having a problem Firstly 1. I go into the VistaMare menu Selection within FS9 2.Then i select FSCargo 3. Then i select get new Assignment 4. I then select Generate until i see a departure selection for the airport im currently in (In this case Entrance Island Lake 2Z1) And an arrival or Destination to (CBM5 Telegraph Creek) 5. Question regarding some FlyTampa scenery. It would appear as though the ground textures of their San Diego scenery flicker when I am flying the 747. It appears to be a height related issue, as I have tested this with several aircraft, including several 747s. Allow me to show you. First test was with the Project Opensky ERJ-145. As you can see, it works fine. Next was the Project Opensky Boeing 737-800. Works fine. Getting a little bit higher off the ground with the QualityWings Boeing 757-200. Hi all I've reinstalled FS9 after a year. Within that year I bought an iPad. Now I was wondering if in any way I can use the iPad as an extra screen to show and perhaps even control certain elements of the cockpit? Thanks!

Hi all I like to do atlantic crossings, but when at cruis altitude, I put on acceleration. At 8x all is fine, but above the plane starts going up and down, more violent the longer I leave it that way. Is there any way this can be solved? Thanks!

Hey guys, I ran into a really strange problem a few days ago. I start REX and click on "I just want to fly", then the weather engine loads and FS9 starts. However when I go to change my aircraft many (not all) of my add on aircraft (such as all my carenado and a few bell aircraft) are missing from the list. This issue does not occur when I am not running REX. Also, whenever I start FS9 (Regardless if I am running REX or not) an error message pops up that says "error loading GPS_Engine". Anyone have any ideas on this? :Worried:

Well got the new computer. Plugged it in at 10am and Ive only just managed to install FS9...............havent a clue what Im doing and getting VVVVVVV frustrated with windows 7 (XP for years). What a nightmare nothing like XP all over the place. Been using an Ipad to look things up on here and other sites to help to try and find hidden files ect ect. trying to install Ge pro and UT Europe. Cant understand a thing to do with the Flight1 e commerse to re install on a new computer. Im sure its me and ive sent them an email to try and help. Wish i never started now. Ive given up for the day. A fed up Steve

Hey guys, Do you know why I keep getting the "Building scenery database" bar loading everytime I start the sim when I haven't installed new scenery? Also after owning Flightzone 02 Portland for quite a while, I broke down and bought flightzone 01 Rhode Island. Something about the install for 01 seems a little off. The scenery looks and runs okay but after I installed, it created a single entry "Flightzone 01". Hi, yesterday I bought Airsimmer. I was really disappointed that basic, doesn't offer any FUEL PRED on FMGC. But product is anyway amazing!!! All the switches for ecam, nd,.... works excellent! As you can see in this topic, fire test is possible, in my version I have no option to press button, both VC, 2D . I'm sure you're all familirat with this problem. It occurs on even the default aircraft such as Boeing 737-400, 777-300. Not to mention that when it occurs on POSKY's 757 or SS767 I get a crash report when using FSPax. It' s kind of annoying really PHNL, KATL, EGKK.. Any fix for this? I tried to lay the apron beneath the runway but no luck. Any help? Please! Thanks!

Hopefully my broken FS9 PC will once again 'fly' next month coinciding with a temporary return to prosperity. That said I would like to add the above to my Mid East collection but I am extremely wary since both are authored by FSDG. I say wary for I only get 5-7 fps using default Cessna at Djerba even after the patch AND treatment with AlphaSearcher et al. Would some kind soul report their frames/smoothness experiences with the above (I realise Heraklion has only been released for FS9.) Many thanks in advance.

Hi! I have reinstalled my FS9, which generally runs OK, but I have a specific problem at KJFK: my AI planes taxi and takeoff alright, but when they land they just roll a bit on the runways and then just pop and disappear. I have checked my traffic files and AFCADs and they seem OK. If I use crossing or normal AFCADs doesn't seem to matter; they land and pop/vanish. Any idea what I can have missed? Hi! I have reinstalled my PC and reinstalled also my FS9 from my backup. When I chech my airports and AI traffic I wonder what the hell? Not one of my AI aircraft will land and taxi to gate on KJFK. I checked my AFCAD and it's OK. So, what could possibly be wrong? Anyone, any idea? Grateful for any tip. Thanks. Hans Hermansson Sweden

My system specs are i5 3.2 Ghz processor, nVidia GT560 Ti, Windows 7 and 4 Gb RAM. I also have the Dreamfleet Baron. At one of UK2000's Extreme airports the Dreamfleet shows no stutters and pans just fine. The Carenado shows a 25% drop in fps at the same airport and panning causes very noticeable stutters. As soon as I turn on the Master Avionics switch in the Carenado I get another 6 fps drop which does not happen in the Dreamleet. The clarity of the Dreamfleet's VC is significantly better than that of the Carenado - and the Dreamfleet was released several years ago. It has been necessary for me to re-install my CH Fighterstick USB – which I use for MS Flight Simulator 9. Before the re-install, I was able to obtain 360 degrees of outside view panning, with the HAT switch. After re-install, however, the HAT switch gives only 4 views (N S E W). I have added: pan_in_cockpit_mode=1 to the FS9.cfg file with no luck. The CH Fighterstick USB setup seems to be OK, as panning works perfectly using the joystick HAT Switch in FSX after doing the necessary modifications to the camera.cfg file. I love flying my PSS Dash 8. Antiquated as it is, I still do a lot of flying with it for my VA. I never had an issue with it until a couple of weeks ago when the frames inexplicably started to dip. I tried all my other aircraft including my PMDG 737 and the frames stayed at a steady 30fps. I couldn't figure why it all went south for the Dash and then I started reading a few posts here and there. Nothing really connected with me in any posts so I reinstalled the Dash with no success......and then the batteries in my wireless mouse died. So after putting new batteries in the frames came back!
