Hi there, I am wanting to test something with the FSX Cameras.cfg file, but in order to do so I need one section from the Cameras.cfg in FS9. What I am looking for is the Virtual Cockpit section. "[CameraDefinition.002] Title = Virtual Cockpit" (Not sure what it looks like in FS9) if anyone can provide me with the full column I would appreciate it. Regards, Ciaran.

Trying to build a program to import my flight log in Excel into FSX. Not easy. One option is to convert my Excel file into a FS9-type text file. I can then import it (maybe) with another FSX tool. I may lose some data, but some is better than none. Can anyone provide me with an old copy of their logbook.log file? I don't care about the data, but i need to be able to see the structure. Any help, appreciated.

I have a very good scenery of Frans Kasiepo International airport (WABB) which I got from this site www.bdoaviation.com/scenery/scenery.php?id=17 The problem is I think there is missing a flatten file or flatten line in the scenery cfg file. I say I think it needs a flatten because from the centerline of the runway all the way over to the water the ground looks like it's in shadow. Plus there are some default gound poking though on the terminal side of the airport near runway 11. I don't see this problem in screenshots I have seen of this airport. Hi All, Anyone out there have some experience with the Feelthere ERJ-135/145? Been having some trouble figuring out how to a "Direct To" via the FMC without interrupting my existing flight plan... The ERJ-170/190 - it's pretty easy but I'm having all kinds of issues with ERJ-135/145... I'm almost always using RC4 and typically I get the proceed direct to xxx after passing xxx feet... I've tried the "Direct To" key on the FMC and it displays "Direct To" near the top left LSK... Hi everyone I've finally pinned down the problematic area. For a long time fs9 crashed during flights. I began to notice that the crash occurs ONLY when flying over the USA or Canada. It's not related to addon airports/scenery. Believe me, I went down that path, uninstalling sceneies, until I realized that the default scenery is the culprit. I got some advice about a program that detects corrupt files, but it was way too complex for my level. So can I do this?- Go to the original installation discs and copy the texture files for those two places-US/Canada? I'm thinking about going back to flight sim again more seriously after not flying so much at all during the last years. I used to fly the Maddog MD-80 which is absolutely a fantastic aircraft, but I would like to start with a new plane. I'm thinking about getting either the iFly 737 or the QualtiWings BAE 146. The BAE 146 seems to be a very good aircraft, that I'm very interested in learning to fly, but I'm a bit concerned about it being quite a limited aircraft type regarding range and number of operators, for example. A B737 on the other hand is more allround, but perhaps more boring compared to the BAE 146. Which one would you píck, and why? Thanks

I am currently happy fan of LD 767, but since I'm student, I can't afford to buy games, so this is my only. I have found various freeware I was totally speechless, some are better than paywares. Just wondering how you guys have your FSRecorder and FS9 fps settings. I'm looking to get the best frame rates but I'm not sure if I have my configuration right. Is it best to set FSRecorder to record "per frame" or "1/4sec, 1/8sec, etc"? Also, where do you have your fps setting within FS9? I have Fraps set to record at 24fps because the Windows Movie Maker I use renders HD captures in 24fps. If I change it to anything else I get some bad stutters. I've done a few tests so far. Test #1: (FS9 set to 24fps/FSRecorder to capture per frame). Result: Only smooth when things are moving slow. Test #2: (FS9 set to unlimited fps/FSRecorder to capture per frame). Res…

Interesting to see we have a new Poll asking the sim of choice ( I have voted). Like all polls interpretation can be ambiguous especially when the choice answer is limited and no reason is given as to why the research. Looking daily at the Library, it would seem that FSX is used mainly for Heavy Metal and 9 maybe used more for the lighter stuff, Past postings on FS9 forum has asked for more encouragement from developers etc., but who should they develop for ? Hi everyone! I had a problem with the merged wilco project airbus a380. When i took off from Paris Charles de Gaulle the a380 suddenly banked left and then went back to normal level flight. Has anyone experienced this before? And does anyone know what the cause is of the problem? Like a glitch or a problem in the merge or am I doing something wrong myself? Can anyone help me, please? I run FS9 on the server with Active Sky 6 and GEPro 2 on client with WideFS. Up to now I have installed the GEPro textures first, then loaded FS9 and finally run ASE. I've upgraded to ASE and note that in ASE you load the weather program first, and then install GEPro from the ASE interface. The problem is that to run the weather program, FS9 must be running. The opposite is true for GEPro textures - these must be installed before the sim is started! Can someone explain please? John

So im planning to make an AI Traffic of Airphil express since there aren't any available packages out there that I have seen (If you have found some pls. tell me). I already have an AI Flight Plan downloaded and AI Aircraft (The Fruit Stand) with airphil express textures and also TTool. Does anyone know where should I start and if I need any more programs? ^_^

Hi guys recently I have been looking for a good aircraft carrier for fs9, I have heard that the Alphasim CVN65 Enterprise is a good one and I know they went out of buisness then made their products freeware I believe. I have the feelthere Phenom 100 buisness jet, and there are no FS9 repaints for this plane. I did see about 4 or 5 FSX paints for this plane. Can those paints be made to work on the FS9 model? If so how?

Hi all, looking at the great UK2000 sale. Almost like having a 30% off sale! I currently run Aerosoft's Hearhrow and I am thinking of getting Gatwick. I am waiting until UK2000 completes V3 of Heathrow before making the Heathrow switch. Does anyone have Aerosoft's Heathrow and UK2000's Gatwick combo? If so, are there any issues or conflicts as far as FPS hits or CTDs? Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, I want to get the PMDG 737. I see that they released two different ones for FS9. Problem is I can't find it for sale on the PMDG website and has been sold out at the aviation shop near my house for a long time. I'm only able to find one of them on the aerosoft website on a disc. It's the version that also includes the 700 series. I would also like to find the other 800/900 release but can't find it anywhere. So I will be ordering the boxed one from aerosoft. Can anybody tell me if it's a good one? I'm just a little surprised many stores are not selling them, including PMDG's website.

Hello All I was wondering if there is a way of getting Asky to do this....... After I have downloaded the weather ,I would like to be able to keep the downloaded winds ,but prevent the generation of the clouds or any active weather until I have reached my cruising altitude, this would benefit me when taking of from the more frame rate heavy airports EGLL ,KLAX,EHAM etc as nothing makes these airports even MORE frame hoggy than steaming great thunderstorms or heavy overcast conditions ,rain etc I know this would be a highly unrealistic scenario ,but if it helps with smoother takeoffs at those particular airports then I certainly would not object. During the past few years, i have noticed, during takeoff, the aircraft turns into the direction the wind is coming from. This means i have had to constantly apply rudder to keep it on the centreline of the runway. Is this meant to happen? It happens to any aircraft, and what ever the winds are. Even if they are very light, at say 5knots, the problem still occurs. During arrival, on ILS, the aircraft flies smoothly until i disengage the autopilot. When i disengage at 100-200ft above the runway, the aircraft turns in the air and makes landing the plane as close as i can on the centreline very difficult, sometimes having to apply left aileron, not just rudder, to correc…

Hello, hope u can help me... I use 3 monitors with Eye infinity and a hd7970 XFX with resolution 5040x1200. When I activate Trackir5 in VC I get FS flickering... (frame rates are bloked to 30) If I put TrackIr in "pause", no flickering anymore... What could it be? Help please.... :huh:
