Hello, I have the MS Sidewinder FF2 in FS9... Anyone has the settings for IFly 737?

I've spent the last few days googling this problem but I can't find a solution. Some people say it's a bug in FS9, some say other things. What happens is when I have my engines on idle with the parking brakes on, all my aircrafts slooooowly creeps forward. I would say it creeps about 1"-2" every 5-10 seconds or so. It's not easy to spot when you're doing the usual things in the VC, but when I zoom VERY close to the ground, it's quite clear that the aircraft is moving forward on its own. I have found a few threads online from other forums talking about a fix you can download but none of the members can find it. I wonder if one even exists? Does anybody know…

I've googled this quite a bit but can't seem to find any good screenshots or comparisons with the default. It's available at Simmarket but the link they refer you to for screenshots/info is now defunct. Would anybody care to share their thoughts on this products worthiness? Screenshots are welcome too.

Hi Folks. Does anybody know why the lines on the airport apron (see image), flicker/shimmer? Is there something I can do to stop this, so they are just lines and not flickering? Thanks John

I recently bought Stansted EGSS Extreme from SimMarket. Although their website stated that a registration key would be provided on download I was, instead, taken to UK2000's website for activation. I cannot find anything about UK2000's activation policy so would appreciate any user feedback regarding this. Are they "OK" in the same way as Flight1 is with their wrapper system? And, yes, I do know that UK2000 doesn't use a wrapper. Many thanks for any info. David

Good afternoon, My question is: At what distance (in daylight and good visibility conditions) should a runway and papi lights be visible (drawn) in the sim? I am asking it because my experience is that for most sceneries (pay or free) at least 10 miles out I can see the runway with enough clarity to turn off the A/P and go for a visual and manual approach, but with Aerosoft's Madrid-Barajas Mega-Airport (which I must say is a piece of art) the runways only appear (pop up) at about 3 miles from touchdown (that's only 1,25 minutes at 145 kts). Before that distance, only a blurry shadow shows in front on my windshield. Any expert opinion ?. Thanks. J…

Hi folks, there are multiple threads on using more than one monitor, but there is one problem I cannot find the answer to: When I undock and move lets say four panels and when I am done press Alt + ENTER again, I find two of the panels on the primary monitor and the two others on the secondary even though I had moved all four to the secondary when they were windowed and undocked. Any idea what could be done to make the panels more "sticky"? Best, Holger

Hi Folks. Does anybody know, why all of a sudden all the aircraft in my FS9, be it a Cessna or a Boring 737 have all started pulling to the left. On the runway or in the air (left wing slight drop). The image above shows the Heading Guage when on A/P and as you can see the Heading bug is slightly to the right of center, this is where the A/P is trying to offset the pull to the left I think. Is there a way of correcting this drift to left please? I have zero winds set, so it is not drift, due to wind direction. Thanks John

I have a question that is regarding flight video's. I don't know if any of you ever do flight video's but it has facinated me for awhile. When I watch them how do they video passenger view, and still manage to land center of runway. Every time I try the same look the liner goes off the runway. Is it possible that they use two monitors one for looking out the cockpit view, the other videoing out the passenger window? Or are they just good at it as it takes practice (lots of). They make it seem as though you are a passenger upon landing. Just curious. Thanks very much appreciated

I fly the Aerialfoundry Hornets in FS 2004 but am having a hard time reading the hud (airspeed, altitude, etc.). Is there another hud I can download and how easy would it be to install? Thanks!

Originally I was using REX textures, but I thought I'd give the HDE v2 textures a try today. After I installed them as per the readme, in FS I'm just getting crappy default textures again. So I thought screw it, I'll just go back to REX. I closed everything, opened REX and reinstalled those textures, but then after booting up FS9 again, I'm still getting default textures! :( Why? Even when I look in my FS9/Texture folder, all the right stuff appears to be there. Update: Okay, I actually backed up my original texture folder before I installed HDE, so I restored that, but now when I load up a flight, once it gets to 77% ("loading weather") I get a CTD. Just ran into another problem in FS9. I purchased the Overland Boeing package a few days ago because I wanted some more "lite" aircrafts in my collection. I tried it out and the autothrottle was horrible. It's having problems getting to my selected speed. Let's say after my initial climb 7000, I activate a/t for 250 knots and in order to achieve this, 80% N1 is required (just an example). What happens is the N1 needle would move up to 90%, then drop to 65%, then up to 90 again and down to 65 and so on. Hi, i am using iFly for quite some time now and lately i have this quite big problem. When I fly normal flight and I set up everything proper, the whole flight is okay, takeoff, climb, cruise and even descend is fine, but.... before end of descend (in order to meet STAR restictions) i control my descend by A/P speed and altitude in MCP. This is still okay. Normally i use alt 3000ft or 2500ft (alt is locked and holding), and speed around 200-210kts with flaps 15 when i fly intercept course before IF and here comes the problem... As many of you know, I was supposed to finally leave FS9 for FSX due to the changing add-on market and over feel of FSX over FS9. It is safe to say things have changed. AGAIN. Today was the final straw. Hi Guys, Never seen this before in 15 years of editing Afcad files via Lee Swordy's Afcad program and I hope someone can point my nose in the right direction. All Afcad ground scenery for the airport concerned is displayed correctly in my FS9 , that is: Runways, taxiways, aprons, etc. but when in the Afcad program and I press the "Tools" - "Fault Finder" - "Find Faults" buttons, the message "Isolated Segment" appears with the complete network of runway links, hold short positions, taxiway links, apron links and parking positions in yellow. Hello All Could somebody kindly tell me the exact procedure for using TOGA for takeoff in FS9 .Is the TOGA method implemented well in Fs9? I have been trying it for takeoff recently (as opposed to the 'normal' method of using manual throttle control as I have for years) The results I am getting are rather less than satisfying. I either end up with excessive speeds way above(before I can control it) the 250 below ten thousand and taking an age before normal autothrottle operation brings the speed back down to a acceptable levels again. OK. I haven't been flying for a few months now due to health reasons. I decided to fly the Wilco PIC Airbus today. It all came back except for one silly problem. I just can't seem to find where to set my Com radio frequency. Radio panel shows Nav radios for manual settings. FMC has a Nav radio page. Grateful for any help.

Hello everyone The last couple of weeks i have been having a horrible problem with my flight sim, It just started freezing and then saying not responding after i had taken off or landed at an airport. I removed everything i had added, i have even formatted my laptop, I purchased a brand new FS2004 set and installed that in a fresh format of my laptop. I downloaded a posky A320 and tried to do a flight with that and after takeoff it still did the same, I am running windows 7 and have followoed all the tips for installing FS9 on windows 7. I tried to install Luton scenery pack again after formatting my HD, but can't install it and the site is down also...? Anyone knows whats going on? I cant get gatekeeper to work in windows vista and fsx. If I select a flight plan gatekeeper shuts down. I did a search and couldn't find any answers. I have the latest version from avsim library.
