Hello, I've just installed FS9. I've also installed FSGlobal2010,REX, UTE, GPE, ASE... I would like to fly on line IAVO with real weather.. I undestood the best way is to use ASE with REX textures... Wich settings should I use for this purpose? Wich is the right way to start a flight.....??????????????? I've been told (from a NON IVAO flyer) I should: Step 1. Start REX2004. Click the Weather tab. Click the side red VIEW WEATHER tab to instantly see current weather cloud conditions around the globe, viewable by country. Decide where you will be flying. Step 1a. Is there a line in the aircraft.cfg file that can be changed to make the thrust increase more quickly? I usually fly the overland a320 family, and have recently downloaded the Project Airbus A320, I find that when you spool up on the Project Airbus the rate that the thrust increases by is not as quick as the overland model, so you can't spool up to let the engine settle then give it a bit more thrust after without it taking a while to respond. What (if anything) can i change to see this happen more like the overland model?

Hey, i updated my old POSKY SP2A model to the new SkySpirit one. But now the navigation lights don't work. I added in only 2 new xml's though, PkyFlasher and Pky_AdvInit as i read through the xml coding and the other xml's starting with SS are the same as the ones i had on my older POSKY aircraft. I have also added the PkyFlasher xml into the panel.cfg file. I have also updated my POSKY utility and added in the cabin textures into the texture folder. This is because the navigation lights are connected to the model itself right? Could you please help me get them to work. I have also asked on their facebook page. Any help would be appreciated. Hi since I can fly FS9 in Wine/Ubuntu, I decided to fly an approach since ages again in FS9. But how to activate/fly that? Could someone give me all needed steps cronologically, given I fly over any big airport. Selecting approach etc. I'm currently stuck that I forgot how to catch the approach with the AP. Thanks

Hi there! With your help, I already got the ENB mod working in FSX. Now, I'd like to use the same effect in FS9. Where can I download a ini-file for FS9 and could you point me to a fitting palette? And, does the installation work the same way as in FSX? Thanks in advance and greets, Michael

Hi Folks. Does anybody know why, with my Feelthere 737-400 I have no problem aligning the IRS when I'm at Gatwick, but when I try to start up at another airport, i.e. LIMJ Genoa, the IRS will NOT align. It just drops out everytime. Is there a way I can cure this. Is this problem caused by the fact that the FMC database needs updating? If it does do you know where I can find the database update for this aircraft please? Im am running FS2004 with Win7.

I am almost finished reinstalling years worth of addons into my new PC. It's been a pretty nasty experience on the whole but for those of you who will have to do this in the future, I can tell you that the methods used by the major companies (F1, Aerosoft, Simmarket etc.) works pretty well, especially if you have done a good job of backing up your serial numbers etc. But the company I have to give top marks to for going "above and beyond the call of duty" is PC Aviator, the retailer of Megascenery. Hi there. Looking at this link, it seems skyspirit have updated their 777 models: http://ssp.cyber-ninja.jp/SSP2012-777V2Update.html. Are these the latest models? And are these the same as the POSKY aircraft? Or is SP2A the latest model for the 777? Hi just fired up FS9 on Windows 8 dev prev and it crashed the whole pc. I had to cut power! Anyone has FS9 running on Win8? Thanks

I just purchased and installed ASE. I'm very happy with the weather depiction, but there is one thing really bothering me. After the initial weather update when I start a flight, every minute or so a message would appear along the top saying something like "ASE weather updated for 145 stations". In about a minute, it would appear again only with a different number of stations. I'm getting this every minute or two. Is this normal? It's very annoying. Is there a way to remove this constant message? I have AS2012 and it doesn't do this.

Hello Everyone, Old geezer, newbie here, SF9 has become my flight simulator of choice, no marching ants, no jagged edges, no flashing, and no tearing. I'm not going to spend alot of money or time to try to get FSX to look as good. So here I am on the AVSIM forum. Been lurking here for a while and seems like a great group of simmers on this forum. Hi, I have large number of add-on airports with their own texture files in texture folder. Recently I noted freezing at some of these airports, which have the texture files duplicated in one of my libraries. For example have recently installed the letest KISP version and the small aircraft in the texture file there are duplicated with the texture files in my active Static Objects Library. The airport is freezing on approach. To my question: If I delete any duplicated texture files from any add-on airport (the texture files I also have in other library), do I need to point at these from this add-on airport scenery (would immagine one of the bgl's there should be pointi…

I know I'm late but having downloaded this scenery when it first came out I haven't had the time to fly to it do to a very busy job I had. Now that I have more time I have been getting back into FS9 and flying to locations I've downloaded but haven't fully vetted out yet. I assumed as Shez was apart of the KPHL team there would be no issues. What I'm finding is an airport that brings my system to it's knees. The upper east corridor of the US is a pain as it is. KEWR from Imaginesim was the worst but I don't remember the KPHL area as bad. Is it just me or is SunSkyJet's KPHL a very demanding scenery to use?

Hey all, I would like to set up the -400F on a few touch screens. As of right now, I have five screens in mind. The screens will show the following: (1) Captains side, (2) EICAS, (3) F.O's side, (4) Overhead Panel, and (5)throttle quadrant. A sixth panel may be added for Comms and ACARs. im really getting aggravated lol i just cant seem to slow the planes down when approaching the airport in preparation for landing i set the speed through fs nav for approach the fd control is off but a/t is on cause fsnav controls it its even set to 160 but plane refuses to slowdown it continues to speed between 280 and 300 knots It aggravates me cause i just joined a couple of virtual airlines but because of this problem i can never properly file a report 2-3hrs of flying and on final approach this happens grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr lol im not to familiar with programing the FMC maybee that will help im not sure if anyone can point me into the right direction as to fi…

Okay here's what I did I created a ROUTE using FSNAV-exported in ROUTE using the PMDG module I then open up the route through the FMC I have set fuel weight flaps settings well pretty much everything that was required to be set within the FMC The problem is, after spending 2 1/2 hours trying to learn the FMC then programming it and setting it up property I feel as if I'm doing something wrong when I kick in the autopilot the plane goes another way it refuses to follow the route what am I doing wrong please help Here is what i have done http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qz95CyF6bdg&feature=youtu.be

Hello guys, I've been going back and forth between FSX and FS9. I've decided to use FS9 for commercial jets because I'm very dissapointed with my FSX performance using complex aircrafts. I want to get the ifly 737 for FS9 and I was wondering if anybody can tell me what kind of fps hit I can expect? The reason I'm asking is because I already own the ifly 737 on FSX and it is by far the worst on fps. My PMDG MD-11X runs better than the ifly. It's so bad that I've only done one flight on it and gave up. Now I want to try the FS9 version. I'm just hoping it's more fps friendly compared to the FSX version. I have finally identified the cause of a recurring problem and would like to share my findings. When trying to fly a SID out of EGKK without pushing the lazy-man's LNAV button, I found out that all VORs and NDBs located between W000 and W001 had their longitude sign reversed and were lying east of EGKK: MID, OCK, GWC, etc. Great when flying the BOGNA SID! Looking further south, the pattern was identical: Zaragozza airport, lying exactly on W001 had its VOR in the right place and its NDB miles away. When this had happened last year, I had corrected the navaids file using H.Sors' software (great tool BTW) and promptly forgotten about it. This time I dug deepe…

A novice error--somehow I have accidentally modified the callsign for Qatar Airlines: rather than simply stating "Qatari," the pilot now states "Qatari scattered". I've looked through the guides which come with EVP, went to their website for other information. I could find nothing I'm thinking that there is a code line somewhere in which the "scattered" has been added.How do I change it back? Thanks John

Hi everybody I bought the 'Learn the Maddog' DVD from simmarket yesterday thinking it was a downloadable thing (as the description is 'downloadable content'), but have realised that you get a zip file (around 4.5MB) and the DVD is sent from them. I have a problem with my Wilco 737 PIC. When I have the a/p engaged and change my heading, the yoke and ailerons behave very violent and strange. I have the Just Flight boxed version of it. I found a video on youtube with someone experiencing the same problem. Hope someone has a fix for this...
