Hello Folks I have downloaded on recommendation the only free 787 trent 1000 engine sounds (actually for fs98) but works fine in 04 .These sounds are fine ,but for one thing in spot mode they are far to quiet. If i turn up the volume ,they then become far to loud in the cabin. In sound packages are the engine sounds for the cabin and spot mode usually separate files ,if they are then I could edit the external one using FSRecorder to increase its volume. I know there is a forum for MAAM-SIM, but no one monitors it, so I'll ask this question: Where can I get the oil-drip effect file for their DC-3? It is no longer available from their site. Also, does anyone know if a fix was ever found for the DC-3 engine starting problems associated with ATI video cards? I have to set my frames at below 30 fps to get the engines started. This is a well-known problem with ATI cards.

For a couple of days now I have a strange behavior of the weather menu in FS9: If I select one of the weather themes, go flying and later on return to the weather menu, the button "User-defined weather" is selected and the previous selected weather theme gets lost. If I define a new default flight with let's say "Fair Weather", it will not load after restarting FS9. Instead, the original default flight is loaded with clear skies. It seems that the weather settings are not saved anymore. Does anybody had the same problem and know how to solve it? Any help is appreciated.

It's on FL410 and also on FL310,270,260,... Sometimes it's disappearing again and coming back again. There is no "model" to see. On my flight EDDF-LSGG it did not appear. Hi, I was looking for some smart topic , but couldn't find. I really don't like when I fly on VAtsim, IVAO, ... and let's say for Venice LIPZ, in fs9 old frequency, and without DME. Offcourse it's little frustrating, checking "old fs9" frequencies with new ones. I have RWY INFO, which has all the RWYS, in text file I also know for AFCAD, which is amazing tool. I have found this, and once even page of gentleman who was updating AIRAC for FS GPS. But none of theese had info for all world. Having recently got back into flight simming following a 5 year break i'm after something a bit more immersive than the stock FS9 aircraft. I have looked at the iFly 737NG and have decided i'd love to use it! Now i can run the stock aircraft at a very steady 30fps with the 30fps lock on. This is on virtually full settings for graphics and with 100% AI (no addons). FS9 turns the runway and approach lights automaticly on/off in dusk, night and low visiblity (<3nm) conditions. But is it possible to switch these lights on/off during daylight conditions? And if so, how could it be done? I did search the fs9 and scenery forums for an answer to this question but could'nt find a solution. If I'm not mistaken, the Cloud9 scenery of Schiphol Amsterdam offered a possibility to switch on the runway lights by setting the second com receiver on a specific frequency. So it can be done. Hello, I hope someone can help me with this as I am stuck, I am running Windows 7 64 bit, previously I had Windows 2000 and I had no problems installing new aircraft on that. I have attempted to download a few aircraft and some have worked but there are a few which do not work, which I had on my old system so I wonder if it is something to do with my Windows 7. I moved recently from WinXP to Win7 64bit and had no problem with contrails pro on XP. Now on Win7 the contrails are just blank white with no textures. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling a few times and it made no difference. Hello Folks When I fly this particular aircraft I nearly always select a cruising altitude in the range FL320-FL340 I select Mach 80 as my cruising speed (I know there are a range of factors that affect airspeeds ) however at this speed and especially if I try 81-82 I always get overspeed warnings at some point in the flight. I have a number of vistaliner 800s and don't get the same problem with this model. Allowing for all factors involved in a flight is MACH 80 at FL320-FL340 an acceptable cruising speed for this aircraft and If this is generally acceptable , is there something in the Aircraft CFG of the Posky 737/800ng that I can alter to make it less likely to get…

I am unable to locate the Globusworld AI 787. The www.globusworld.net website is down, and UTT still has it under development. I just started having the black screen crashes of FS9 a few days ago. Seemed to start when I installed a new video card. I'm using FS9 on a Windows XP system on a dedicated hard drive to FS9 only. I downloaded the program Autosave from Pete Dawson's page. The program saves my flights like it's supposed to. But each time I get airborn and the program saves the first interval Radar Contact 4 crashes. RC stops responding and I get an popup that there was an error writing to Fs. RC4 then is unresponsive and I have to close it. Of course now I don't have ATC unless I restart the flight. If I stop using Autosave then RC4 doesn't crash. As soon as I reinstate Autosave RC4 crashe…

However, I can't seem to find Bill Lyon's old InterDiscount blimp. Its file name was skyshipd.zip in the library. Does anyone have it? Some time ago I read here that FScene 4X for FS9 (and X) was on sale for $19.95 US. After visiting the site and reading about it along with viewing the available screen caps, I was tempted to buy it but did not. Now it is back up to its (regular?) price of S39.95 US, and I wonder how many here think it is worth that much. For purposes of comparing what I see as worth the money, a year ago or more I purchased REX Xtreme for FS9 at full price. I do not use or have ever had any interest in its weather system or its flight planner, but use the textures only and to me, the improvement they provide was well worth the purchase price.

I think I have a problem with textures getting hooped..Below is a picture of what I see.. Any help to fix would be appreciated..I am now using REX and had previously installed "Best replacement water for FS9,2004" file size 4,626. Would that have something to do with it? Thanks Rick

Hi all, if there is one thing that I have been tweaking and tweaking around with for years is the cockpit environmental wind sound. I wonder if there are some quality wind sounds out there that I have missed and what are the best settings for the config under {WIND] that will be the most realistic in sound environment, Ive watch so countless videos 100s of them from the cockpit and one thing is certain, the wind the the cockpit is loud during cruise. Plus you cant hear the engines at all when at curse altitude Just wind. Hey Guys, I just encountered a Problem with FS2004, I installed 2 Airports (BlUe Print Simulations KSDF) Payware and another Airport i forget witch one it was and neither are showing up 2nd one was Freeware. Ive added the scenery the same exact way ive been adding servery for the past couple of years and never encountered this problem, funny thing is i cant add scenery period as i tried yet another airport today and it also refuses to show up. All Entries are in the Scenery.CFG And all Entries were Activated Via Settings, Scenery option within FS9 will post some screen shots soon, Any ideas? Hi folks, I used to use FSM for scenery cfg editing and error checking among other things but have not done so for some years... It used to be the case that it could be made to work by tweaking the date back to pre 2005, but my current Windows7 setup gets really upset if I try that! Anyway, does anybody know of a modern (ie currently working / supported) equivalent for this? The functionality that I am looking for now is the ability to ferret through the scenery files and folders and then tell me if there are any bad errors / missing effects / missing textures..?
