Crash To Desktop (CTD) Forum

Hello, flight simmers. I suddenly got crash to desktop by g2d.dll. I've try everything and nothing helps me. It begin when I was climbing to my cruise level on PMDG 777-200ER, with ASCA, ASP3D, ChasePlane. At the moment I've already regenerate my shaders, check graphicscard, update drivers, CPU, settings - nothing. As I have FSUIPC6, I load my autosave and it crashes every word not allowed time in the same spot at the same time with G2D.dll, IDK what to do. 8700K, 1080 Ti, 32 GB RAM, SSD NVME, Win10x64 Pro (latest), Prepar3D V5.1 Academic (latest). Does anyone here have solved this problem?

Hello fellow drivers, I reach out to you with a reasonably high level of desperation. I have been experiencing frequent crashes that are being caused by the g2d and g3d.dll files. It is something that has started to happen as soon as I upgraded my P3Dv5.0 install to 5.1 (yes, I have HF1 running). I have quite some add ons, plug ins and software running on the background as my sim setup at home is ever growing. I only fly the PMDG 737 ngxu for a virtual airline, mostly US domestic flights. Hi all, I have a multimonitor setup, and today when I selected FSUIPC from the Add on menu as normal the P3D screens went black but the FSUIPC UI window was nowhere to be found. Basically this CTDs my P3D because the only thing left is shutting down P3D using task manager. What I tried to sove this: -Reboot P3D and desktop -Change configuration of multiple screens -unplugging a screen -SHIFT rightclick in the taskbar But I just can't get the FSUIPC window back on my screens. As long as I don't select FSUIPC everything is fine. Is there eg a config change that could resolve this?

When i try to load a flight plan, it can either work just fine or fsx just freezes until it just crashes.

Hi All, Wondering if I'm the only one going through this. I am currently flying the Aerosoft Airbus A320 Professional and experience a CTD at the beginning of the approach. I had the initial incident on my first run after updating and replicated today. Two different flights: EDDM to LSGG and LSGG to LEBL. I will have a go at flying with no addons and see if that helps. Possibly something to do with enhanced atmospherics? I will disable that and try too. Hello. Hello Avsim Community, At the moment I have the problem that my FSX freezes completely (no sounds, I can't click anything, nothing happens, the textures don't load). The time is always different, once directly after loading with a PMDG 777, once after half an hour on the ground with the FSLabs Concorde and once after 3 hours in the air in the CaptainSim 707. There is no No Response Message either. There is also nothing in the event viewer or in the AppCrashView. And I can't find anyone online who has the problem. Hello, Maybe someone can help me out here because I'm kind of at my wit's end. Almost every single time I play P3D v5 (latest version), especially when doing longer flights, I almost always encounter the DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG error. And when it does happen, it always happens at the start of the flight or when I'm on final approach. Like, 8-10 mile final. I have scoured forum after forum to try and find an answer to remedy this error. Hi. I just downloaded UGCX and after 1 hour of use, it made my FSX Steam Edition crash. So, when I start FSX it appears me that UGCX is unable to start but it let's me execute it, but when I execute it, it crashes my FSX. I alredy tried re-instaling UGCX but it sill doesn't work. PLEASE HELP!

This is an issue that I am not happy about. There are forums about this online but nobody has a solution to. When I do a flight in FSX Steam and lasts longer than 1 hour 30 minutes, when I try to use the menu, it will cause FSX to stop working. People say to do a UiAutomationCore.dll tweak but the fix is already implemented in FSX Steam. So there is either an incompatibility issue with the current UiAutomationCore.dll or something else. My computer meets minimum requirements.

Hello guys, I've encountered a real nightmare: I just upgraded from my old 8600k to a 10700k (new motherboard, new drivers, yadda yadda). But ever since having upgraded and fixing drivers etc. I wasn't able to complete a single flight in P3D4. I was able to locate some problems (disabled hyperthreading for CPU 0-4, clean-installed graphics driver, re-installed P3D components) but still, the crashing continues. It is not a simple CTD but the system freezes after ~3h giving me strange audio phenomena (screeching speakers) and then the PC itself shuts down and reboots. Hence, I don't have a log or anything. After last update on april 2021, I install a SABE scenery from Aerosoft page, and the MSFS CTD after a few minutes of flight, I dont know if this is for a Honeycomb Bravo, the scenery SABE or CRJ700, but the system works well but when I install the scenery start the problems. Hello! Since latest update (France/Benelux) I get frequent CTDs. Eventviewer points to CoherentGTCore.dll as the culprit. Anyone else experiencing this? Any known solution? I've tried the "usual" - removed everything from community folder, DDU of Nvidia driver and reinstall, reinstall of MSFS 2020. Disabled overclocking. Made sure Win 10 is up to date and any apps from Microsoft Store. Running i7 9700k, RTX 2080, 32GB of 3.600 MHz RAM. It mostly happens when in VR (HP Reverb G2).

After a certain time that fsx is running, right clicking to show the menu can hang the simulator and crashing it. It happens on the ground when I arrive and crashed during a climb for a oceanic flight on VATSIM. I do not want my sim to crash during a long flight. I thought I should try and let everyone know that my Sim that been randomly crashing (CTD) from day one has now been fixed. My CTD was a freeze and then 3 short noises and a CTD no error message if anyone else is having the same CTD. I am not a geek far to old for that I don't have any software experience so nothing fancy in this fix for me. Although I now don't have all the functionality that the Sim offers, I am so happy that I don't get that random CTD after 30 mins or sometimes 7 hours. Hello, I was flying into Helsinki today on Vatsim after downloading Active sky 2016 for my FSX box edition. As I was descending on my 3 hour and 6 minute flight I had a crash to desktop. My settings were unchanged, but one that stood out was that I had the cloud layers set to 20 instead of 4 which was recommended. So I Installed a new nvidia driver recently and I started up P3D, (v5.0.31.35253) and it loads then the scenario screen for like 5 seconds then disappears... I've done a reinstall , and deleted the config for auto repair, and deleted the Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5 folders from program data and User\Appdata\Roaming. Even updated windows , and a BIOS update. Hello, I have been experiencing crash from ntdll.dll and it has been very frustrating. I would solve the problem, and then I go back and relaunch X-Plane and it crashes for the same exact reason.

My most recent P3D uninstall/reinstall was on Nov 16 and the following recaps my experience since then: Nov 16: Installed P3D; made minor config changes to address my cockpit setup (eg., Wideaspect View=True; ignore crashes; disable error reporting and disable controllers (I use FSUIPC5)). Hey guys, been dealing with this problem not for over 6 months and only with windows 10, no problems with windows 7 at all. ANY sim I run, not just P3D will crash after a few hours. I have tried everything from changing permissions, to updating drivers, to reinstall of sim, and eventually a new hard drive with a fresh install of windows 10 and even changed the graphics card all to no avail! starting to feel like I need to either buy a new computer or scrap Windows 10 (which MANY of my addons require).
