Hey guys, it seems I'm not that lucky with the new system. I got my new PC and of course installed v5. After the basic things like SODE and PMDG777+737 and FreeMeshX I now installed the first scenery for test. First it was FlyTampa Boston. Then it crashes after I select KBOS and Okay. No error in event viewer. Deleted KBOS and installed Gaya LOWW and the same problem. When starting then P3D again it shows a quick loading screen where it says generating scenery database files. Only the basic airport works set as default from P3D. It seems the selection is in general not possible. When selecting the airport ingame it also crashes. Still no event viewer error …

Hello, I am running Win 11 pro with FS 2020 all patched up. No store or community addons of any kind. All OS and FS 2020 updates completed. If I start the game in Normal mode and try to setup a flight from anywhere to anywhere and click ready to fly the sim instantly CTDs. If I launch in safe mode then the sim functions just fine. I have FSX:SE, so I can't really uninstall acceleration.. any solution for that? Cause I keep reinstalling visual 2005 (due to msvcr80) and it keeps messing up... the add-on that causes the crashes is always a weather add-on (I use FSXWX, but ASN did this too). I know I can just turn off the add-on but there has to be another way? A way to fix msvcr80? I mean do I happen to be doomed and not be able to use weather add-ons when everybody else can?! Copy each line, one at a time , paste it into the Dos window (crtl + V) and press return and it will then run. Wait until each runs and finishes before you move on to the next one. Ever since yesterday when MS's servers were down, I've been having CDT's before I get to the main menu. This has happened every time, about 10 tries. The last time i installed new scenery was about 2 weeks ago and was able to load without an issue. When I launch the sim, I get a message asking me to go into safe mode or normal mode. This happens every time since yesterday. Prior to that, I'd get the message about 25% of the time since the last update, but never had the CTD. My question is, how do I figure out what is causing this and how do I fix it? I have never opened a ticket or anything before so I am not sure if that is the way to go or if my submission just go…

While i install MSFS the game crashes while installing. I download, and after around 10 gb of installation the game crashes. My specs Are i5-6600K, a gtx ROG 1070 and 16 gb ram. I buyed the game on Microsoft store.

I started getting BSOD error (CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT). The fix was to uninstall: AI Suite 3 CORSAIR iCUE Actually I removed all ASUS AI and Corsair software. I haven't had crash since. Hope this helps someone. I almost reset the whole computer trying to fix this.

Hello all, I've recently upgraded to P3D v5.3 HF1. Now I keep running into a very strange issue where the PC completely shuts down and reboots when I taxi onto the runway and set take-off thrust during nighttime at a busy airport (happened using FSLABS A319 at Imagenesim KATL and PMDG B748 at Aerosoft EDDF) Naturally, I had all lights on, which I think may be significant. I also was using my HP Reverb G2 Headset. My first idea was that this might be caused by an overheating video card. Hi All, Another day, another CTD on V5. Must say at this point I'm tempted to move back to 4.5 with how unreliable this sim is for me now. In only a few weeks I've had multiple different CTDs. I just attempted another Hong-Kong -> Anchorage flight (VHHX-PANC Specifically) in the PMDG 744. Well I have a pretty decent desktop system and the only thing that fixed my freezes and crashes was a $1200 GPU ! .....YUP, SAD BUT TRUE

Hi all, can someone tell me what the best course of action would be to take, when the Sim freezes in play (during a flight), and even the Escape button doesn't cancel the session? Would it cause any harm/damage to the programme, or even to any hardware, if the PC was switched off from the power button... just so you're able to shut everything down?

Hello to all I have a problem that I can't solve. Since the SU6 update I can't launch the Nice scene. I have the screen freezing whatever the device. If I fly and I arrive in Nice after leaving the runway, the screen freezes near the doors. I emptied my Community and it's the same thing. I tried to uninstall the France update and it's the same thing. Hello, I have FSX Steam and a lot of add-ons, consisting both freeware and payware. my problem is in every flight, after some minutes, FSX either crashes to desktop without any errors at all (mouse cursor circulates) or just freezes without sound. Hi all, I recently moved from P3D v4.5 to 5.2, and so far it's proved relatively reliable. However I was just flying KJFK-EGLL in the PMDG 744 and when descending through around 9-10k feet on arrival into Heathrow I experienced a fairly nasty Display Driver timeout which then CTD'd the Sim. I should note that my current PC does have a few gremlins in the Graphics department (I often have to restart to avoid Display Driver Timeouts when opening video files, certain websites etc.), however these are always fixed by a restart and don't re-emerge until the next cold boot. Hopefully I am correct in this CTD forum as my PC does not crash to desktop but rather shows the Blue Screen for a fraction of a second and then goes straight into a reboot. This is what happens: I start the PC which by the way is solely used for my P3D. As soon as P3D is fully loaded and ready to "fly", the PC without any warning re-boots and then enters into a different "login screen" showing a beach from inside a cave. This is my setup: Xeon 2678v3 2.5Ghz, 16gb RAM, GTX1050ti 4GB 128bits, 1TB HD and Win10pro Well, I'm using the p3dv5.2 but it are using basically all VRAM available and it's crashing the simulator. To change this situation, I was forced to reduce all my settings on Nvidia Panel and to reduce all setting to Low in p3d. The result was to have a poor visual o my simulator. So, does anyones could help me to set the best configurations to have a flow simulator without to lose so many visual?

Strictly Speaking, this is not about CTD, but the aftermath of that, so I think it deserves it's own topic. On my system, after a CTD of P3D(v4.5), it's very likely after a restart, some external software having problem on connecting to new started P3D, as if they are connected to the "ghost" of the crashed one. Those most prone to this phenomena on my system, is TrackIR, and LittleNavMap, also LINDA, FSX2ACMI..etc.... Activesky used to be one, but with the new ASP3D version, it almost never did that again. Hello So i started a flight from JFK to LHR on the qw787. On the first try it crashed right at the gate. The second time i tookoff and used the jump ahead feauture to skip some waypoints and save some time. Then when i started my descent again it crashed. Crashing in the sense the pc just closes down. When i start it once again the plane is reloaded but then the joystick connection is lost. Does anyone know the solution to this problem? Any help will be appreciated Thanks

after pressing fly now, after around 10sec the game freezes and crashed to desktop without errors, im honestly confused on what the reason is and i tried many fixes, different planes and airports, nothing works, one thing i noticed when it crashes it makes a fsx_62615_crash_2021 mdmp file in the game directory, but im not sure on what that is or how to open it, any help would be appreciated
