Crash To Desktop (CTD) Forum

When i was downloading FSX for the first time my pc shut down, after that i downloaded it again, but instead of it tuening on when i clicked play, it greeted me with a pop up message that my game is wrongly configured and it says that its error 0x36B1. Can anyone help?

In my FSX it's trying load a flight plan all I get is the blue circle it some times it does load it but most of the time it takes a long time to load it up? Any ideas ? I don't ? Could use a little help Thanks

I just got back from 2 weeks offline and tried to start MSFS, yesterday it worked fine, i downloaded the recent WU and mandatory update. Now I cannot get to the main menu anymore. Loading finishes and then MSFS crashes without any error. For such a long time I have being having the api.dll ctd. Usually on the first lauch but not all the time. For the last couple of weeks I have been launching Fsx via the steam client and I have not had a ctd. I did a test the other day and launched fsx via the desktop icon and got a api.dll ctd. Hello friends I installed PMDG777 for MSFS2020 (latest update) and within 5 minutes FS CTD. Event viewer indicates MSFS2020 Faulting module is offensive initials not allowed.dll. Checked it is fine and in place. Restarted sim again, another CTD in less than five minutes. Now the culprit is nvgpucom64.dll. Installed the latest Nvidea driver 556.12. Three tries afterwards. This one is weird and I am posting it because I hope someone had the issue before and could figure it out better than me. I got the PMDG 777 and tried some transatlantic flights from europe, following simbrief routes. The sim crashes every single time when the aircraft passes exactly in the same area, between cartwright and St. Johns, so basically after reaching the american continent. And its always 0xc0000374 and ntdll.dll according to the event log. I use FSLTL but apart from that, in this area there are no local sceneries active which could cause this. Greetings! I have had several CDT's in Prepar3d v5.4 after installing the PMDG 737. 2 have been access violations according to AppCrashView and the other was "A heap has been corrupted." error. Have been flying with Prepar3d since August of last year, never had a CDT until now. Also, where is a good link to the version 5.0.0 CTD guide? Hey Avsim, It's been around 3 months now with this problem. I've submitted my problem to the QW 787 support forum 3 months ago, but i still didn't get an answer from anybody (i'm not the only one getting no answer, QW support is a joke) So i decided to ask in the Avsim forum 😊 My problem is that i get a ctd. Sometimes after 1 minute in flight, sometimes after 30 minutes and so on... everything is going normal but then suddenly my P3D V4 freezes. Good day aviators! I do have a small problem with my old trusty FSX Accelerator. Some time ago I downloaded and installed a freeware choppers namely MIL Mi-6 and Mi-26. Both installed correctly and do work fine. Some time after this I wanted to fly with my payware UH-1. I selected free flight and made necessary setting. The preview screen showed chopper correctly. After selecting fly now, downloading process reached 100 %, then screen stayed black, only blue circle was turning. Nothing else happened. Eventually I had to stop system by using CTRL+ALT+DEL. Hello to all experts, I have been experiencing major crashes (CTD - crash to desktop) with Prepar3Dv 4 & 5 in an A320 home cockpit for some time now. I can no longer fly, only make attempts to get the system up and running again. I am hoping for your ideas and experiences! FSX CTD after finishing flights. Finish flight, go cold and dark, click exit to menu, crash to desktop. Flight runs smoothly, no issues starting or during flight. My Traffic 6 Pro, reduced retro 1970 settings. Flight One BN-2 Islander. Settings are low to medium low. Windows 7 64 bit

About two weeks ago I started having multiple API.DLL crashes with FSX. I ran SFC and DISM without success. Also FSX repair. I even wiped and reinstalled SIMstarter NG and FSX, which was the ultimate move due to the addons I would need to reinstall.. None of which resolved the issue. I eventually ran AppCrashView and noticed the crashes started 4/12/2023, I started looking at programs that had been installed around that date and found Windows update KB5025221. I uninstalled it and as of two days later I've not a API.DLL crash. I can't say with 100% certainty that that was the issue, but the evidence is pointing in that direction.

Hello, I keep running into an API.dll crash. I have completely reinstalled FSX. I have UAC turned off. I run on very minimal settings and I have monitored VAS and it is peaking at 2GB and yet I am still running into API.dll crashes according to the event viewer log. The sim also sometimes CTD with an API.dll error on start-up, before I get to the loading screens. The same issues persist with the sim installed on the SSD in C:\FSX and in it's current location on the HDD. Hi, So I'm returning to the flight sim world after a long time. everything was fantastic, even bought a new pc and monitor to cope with the graphics. That was until yesterday ? aircraft cut power going down the runway ? aircraft crashing into the sea and buildings when the A1 flight assistance was used ,then the flight assistance icon just disappears. i spent 3/4 days adding new aircraft and liveries I had bought ,and with a heavy heart I decided to un install and try again. My MSFSX ocean waves only randomly appear. I have reinstalled ocean waves and also run the gauge effect recover without resolve. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if so, did you find a solution. I'm from Oregon and I really miss the ocean waves living here in Idaho. Hey everyone! Ive been flying lately in my sim (P3D v5.1) again and did some LH Real Ops. Everything went perfect. Was flying from EDDF everywhere (using Aerosoft EDDF professional). But when I fly to EDDM, I noticed, that my sim tends to freeze on the approach, then it doesnt respond anymore with the white screen. This already happened 2 times by now, very frustrating. Hello, I've been having CTDs without any error messages for a few days now and for some unknown reason. First of all when I took off from the T2G LFPG in the FSLabs just a few seconds after being airborn the sim just crashed so I figured I should just step off and not care about the T2G LFPG. But now I'm getting some CTDs out of nowhere about 20-30 seconds into the flight. I've tried a few fixes such as the corrupted weather files which didn't work. The plane used is the PMDG 737 NGXu, the location is the JetStream Designs LFPO and the weather engine is HiFi Technologies Active Sky. Hi all Like a lot off people I am getting CTD with the api.dll showing up in event viewer, not all the time just some times I ran process monitor to see if I could narrow my issue down, I have captured 3 saved log files. 2 log files when FSX se CTD and 1 log file that loaded FSX se with out any CTD In the 1 and 2 logs that FSX se CTD WerFault.exe showed up in the process name Column and in event viewer the time stamp shows when the CTD occurs along with the time of the WerFault.exe Regards Rhys

I have 2 different problems Have a fresh install of P3Dv6, no addons. I get CTD on loading the scenario. I have a Cyborg Evo Force joystick. Using the default setup at KDCA with the F22. I hit ok, the screen goes black while loading for a few seconds, the a gray popup box with no text appears, momentarily, and then it crashes. I disconnected the joystick, and the sim loads, but it's a black screen. System specs are Windows 10 64 bit Intel Core i7-4771 30.5G 12G RAM Geforce GTX-970 DirectX12 Newest Nvidia drivers installed. I'm starting to get CTD after every flight now. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm running MSFS 2020 via Steam. Flying the 320 Fenix. Only other addons I have is GSX pro with a download that helps connect the Fenix and GSX pro. Other than that just using navigraph and simbrief. All scenery is default. Crashes always happen right at the moment of touchdown. Is this a GSX issue? Never had this problem prior to getting GSX.
