Crash To Desktop (CTD) Forum

I am getting a persistent g3d.DLL error whenever I start to load a flight from the Free Flight screen, do not even get past 0% loading. Looking at the 'appcrash' log there appear to be several d3d9... and d3d10... dlls being loaded from windows/system32 dir. Is this correct? As reading the CTD guide it does mention several such files can cause problems? Could any techies out there throw any light on what might be the cause from the Appcrash report below? Hello all, I CTD when ever I fly the Southwest Warrior 1 or New Livery for PMDG 737-800 NGX. This is what it gives me in event viewer. When i start my NGX up and when in the VC i can press the Q button for volume off and on, i can repeatedly hit this key all day long but soon as i go outside like spot view and hit the Q button a good few times it crashes and i get a stackhash? Hello, I have encountered a problem with FSX recently. I have not used it in over a week and decided to do a flight. However, when I started it up it crashed on the splashscreen it did not fully load to the point where you can choose your aircraft etc. While starting it repeatedly I got a message that it was unable to write to the FSX.cfg. I deleted the FSX.cfg in hopes that it would fix the problem but it did not. I am stumped as to what is causing these crashes and do not want to have to reinstall so any help would be appreciated.

just installed the Denver megasceneryearth. Flew the Pmdg 737. Took off from orbx jacksons hole. With hybrid mode checked in ftx central. I got into the air for about 10 min and crash to desktop. I read in the megasceneryearth manual to set your LOD high to get the sharp textures. If I go a 7.5 LOD should I turn off any liberies that I am not using? How does that work in hybrid mode? I have pnw, nca and crm installed. Obviously I need crm for kjac to work. But can I turn off say, kpsp, nca, pnw and any other of my flightbeam and fsdreamteam airports? Thanks. I7 930 at 4.2. I have been getting this error for quite some time now and don't know as to what or why this issue is coming up or how to fix it. if I take and fly for a little bit then take a break to let the dog water the grass come back and try to fly I get this error come up. when I close it the multiplayer portion of the menu is gone but every thing else works when closing this error. what is this and is there a fix?

Hello, whenever I install Sp2 and an unexpected error has occured. Please Help

I recently decided to jump ship from FS9 to FSX and I have been running into an issue trying to get FSX to run properly (or open in most cases). One my first fresh install of FSX, I installed FSX without any issues. I then tried installing Acceleration and I got an error saying that Acceleration did not install properly as there was an error reading the disc. As such, I uninstalled Acceleration and installed SP1 and SP2 (without uninstalling FSX or running CCleaner/cleaning up any files pertaining to Acceleration). Every time I start FSX I am greeted with 'A fatal error has occurred' and it crashes straight away. That last thing I installed was the EZDOK camera which required me to delete some key mappings. I have uninstalled and reinstalled FSX about 5 times now, deleting every FSX related thing there was and it still crashes. I've backed up all of the files including the main folder from /programfiles, the files from /AppData, and the FSX folder in my documents. I have no idea how it doesn't run after many reinstalls and so if anyone knows how I can get it up and running again, I would be greatly appreciative as I have an oculus rift coming in soon and I really want it working by …

MS FSX: I don't fly at night very often, so don't really know how long this problem has existed, but every time I fly at night now, in whatever aircraft, scenery, etc, I get a CTD. It tends to happen quite far into the flight (>1hr), but it will always CTD on a night flight. AppCrash Viewer shows the Fault Module as AI_Player.dll I'm not using any bloom or lighting mods, and I use Win 7 64bit, with a i7 2600k and GTX 685 2GB. Does anyone have any ideas what could cause a regular CTD, that only occurs at night in FSX ? (No CTDs in daylight flights). Thanks in advance.

Hi, I've been experiencing crashes with a similar error report as noted at the begining of this thread. I've been experiencing this with the PMDG 747-400, on long haul flights over ocean, and particularly during the transition from day to night. First a particular view will disappear...then most recently, the 3D flightdeck went transparent except for the insturments themselves. Will this FSUIPC program work for PMDG as well. Hi, I have recently installed FSX SE and PMDG 737 NGX SP1D (both up to date). The game runs fine but I keep getting random fatal errors, forcing me to close fsx se and start again. Usually it can happen when I end a flight, leave fsx se at the main menu for a while and come back and it will hang then crash or just now I crashed the aircraft and after the standard 'crash message in fsx' it hung and gave me a fatal error. Hi, Just recently I've been getting a CTD with the faulting module being msvcr80.dll. It happens without fail when I load FSX with a default aircraft at UK2000 Heathrow, load in the weather using the REX Essentials weather engine, and then attempt to switch to a 'complex' aircraft - happens with both Concorde X and the PMDG 737. When the aircraft tries to load FSX crashes. Weirdly I can load the aircraft first and then load the weather and it doesn't crash. It also stopped crashing (and I can do the above process of loading the weather before the aircraft) if I delete FSUIPC (latest version). However when I reinstall it the crashes begin again. I have searched all of the pages of this forum and while others have had the same problem, none of the solutions have worked for me. Any help would be appreciated. My computer went into the shop for repairs unrelated to FSX which was working fine. Now, when loading FSX I get the splash screen and and then the program closes. No error messages display and Event Viewer shows nothing either. I believe everything else about the computer is working fine. I have deleted FSX.CFG and the only difference in the start-up is that I am prompted to trust a few files and then FSX closes. Hi all, I have Santorini X successfuly installed into Prepar3d v2.4 using Estonia Migration Tool (and without using it), but whenever I try to start a fly from or approach to, I end up getting the message: Your computer has run out of memory etc. I believe I have tried almost everything regarding lowering scenery options, p3d.cfg file tweaking, uninstall and re-install.....I have to add that Santorini x used to work fine in P3d v2.3. I have VFR GenX photo scenery all volumes 1-8 installed. I have volumes 8 (S.Scotland) and volume3 (N.England), including v3 updates, currently enabled for a planned flight from Edinburgh to Newcastle. However, every time I load the flight the loading bar gets to around 28-32% 'Loading terrain data' and I get a fatal fsx crash. If I unload the photo scenery, FSX loads fine. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both photo scenery volumes and applied the volume8 patches but to no avail. "Appcrash" programme reports the faulting module as "util.DLL". Okay, so ever since I have installed ENB series, I get this message on startup, in a simple window that says "Assertion failed" and something about the fsx.exe. I tested this, and when I remove the d3d9.dll file, which came from ENB, FSX runs perfectly, but then ENB doesn't work. Any advice?
