Crash To Desktop (CTD) Forum

I am trying to download GSX base package, and after I install it, my sim starts, and after a millisecond being on the main menu, it closes, no error messages, no fatal error, it just closes. I have already looked at other support topics on this, and none of the fixes help me. I have tried uninstalling/ re installing many times, selecting 'don't run' when it asks to run after installing, and nothing works. And I have tried to delete all files manually. I am running Windows 8.1 (no I'm not going to Win 7) if that is causing an issue. Thanks!

Hello, I was flying YBBN-VTPS this evening in the PMDG777. Hi everyone, as you may know, I was experiencing problems relating to FSX crashing in random locations, yet the faulting module and important info was unknown. As of a few days ago my computer has been crashing to a blank black screen. Sometimes it does it when the sim is running, sometimes it's just sitting here running nothing. The only thing to do is restart it. I do a *mild" overclock to 4.0. Sometimes I get a dump file after restarting, sometimes I don't. (The computer says there was an unexpected shutdown but that is probably me resetting the system.) Hi I have got MS:FSX Gold edition installed. I followed the installation instructions and verified it is compatible with the Gold version. However when I try to run it from the aircraft screen, FSX just crashes to desktop. Its the version on the main page of his site: http://indiafoxtecho.blogspot.co.uk/ Any suggestions?

Only FSX owners know how horrible it is when the fatal error window pops up... Even if the sum is not even running! When I install SP2 I can start it exactly 2 times and then I get a fatal error message on the start of FSX. I tried to download and paste the. Dll file, delete the. Cfg, the logbook.bin,... I have tried flying the same route from EGKK to EGAA, and the sim locks up mid flight. I have tried this route about 4 times now. I never get past half way, and have not landed for a while. Since I got back into FSX and PMDG 737 flying, I have been unable to complete this flight. ^_^ I am running a few extra add ons which other people seem to use without any problems. I am using very reserved graphc settings. Tried the UIAutomationCore fix. Set my firewall to game mode, so that ASN is not limited. I guess I could use a process of elimination, and stop using ASN or FS2Crew and see if I get through a flight, but this would be time consuming. But maybe somebo…

Dear All, Since switching to FSX I have encountered CTD'S with no errors at all. In mid flight FSX freezes and a CTD occurs. I downloaded appcrash and noticed that the cause was the LVLD.dll file. (LVLD B767). So what I did was unistall all the Level DB767 software from my FSX folder. I then restarted my computer and FSX loaded the Aerosoft Airbus and did a flight from EDDM to EGKK. Unfortunately during the flight I had 3 CTD' S with no errors and I can't seem to understand why this keeps happening. My FSX.CFG file has only been tweaked with the HIGMEMFIX=1 and nothing else. Hi i had a long time with out having an OOM issue . I am currently having OOM for every payware airport. I try disabling the once that i am not flying into an it seems not to work. I am having OOM for even small airport such as TJSJ from latin VFR . I never had an OOM for that airport. I don't know what could be wrong , i am currently running STEVE DX10 FIX latest one. When I file a flight plan in FSX and click save, I get a pop up that reads; " A fatal error occurred " , also I see a broken message running across the map that reads " Weather Theme Fair Weather ( It's a part of the weather options found on the preceding page.. Hello guys, my flightsimulator is 'broken'. So.. for example, I fly United 777-200LR from KSFO to KMIA. After 2:20h my fsx got white and says 'No response'. If I click on the screen nothing happens. To all, My FSX has developed a very strange memory leak / freezing issue. Using flight plan from Sao Paulo (SBGR) to Oakland (KOAK) I periodically check memory usage with "Process Monitor" (Private Bytes, Working Set and Virtual Size columns) and can watch the usage slowly increase for the first 4 hours of the 12 hour flight until FSX freezes. The memory increase doesn't appear to start on the ground (at SBGR). It appears to start after about 20 minutes of the flight, but I can't be absolutely certain of this due to the slow nature of the leak. Hi All. Not sure if I am posting this in the right section but it only seems to happen when I am playing FSX... When in FSX, and its never ever happened before, all of a sudden the computer just shuts of by itself. It kind of freezes and then the screen just goes black. When I get back into the computer, the tab pops up where it says " your computer has shut down unexpectedly or along the lines of that. When I click more details... This is my first post in the AVSIM forum as I am new to forum but not to the website (actually been downloading aircraft for a few years actually). Anyway, here's my background. I first got interested in FSX back in 2008 when I first started loving flying. I found the Airport Tycoon series and bough the 2nd and 3rd one. I love the airport management simulation genre but I didn't actually get to fly the airplanes - just watch them come and go - buggily ( :) ). Hi all; Flying the default c172 for the last 3-4 yrs with no problems. Made a flt plan today and had my plane moved to starting location. Only add-ons are UTX,GEX,REX and FSrealWX lite. The flight goes just fine until I open the Kneeboard and click on the NavLog. I crash with the message "Fault Module Name: MSVCR80.dll Version:8.0.50727.4940. Exception Code c00000005. I downloaded the .pdf here on CTD's and looked at the section on C++ comparing it to mine in my Programs and Features. They don't come close to being alike. I'm stumped. Hi everyone I was wondering if anyone could check something out for me It does need you having the VFR Scotland Scenery Volume 8 from Playsims installed I am finding that if I depart from Glasgow Airport (EGPF) and then turn onto a heading of 150 the simulator will crash with an error after about 15/20 mins It doesn't matter what aircraft you fly ... it happens every single time Could anyone with this scenery installed fly that heading for me and see if the same happens to them I am pretty sure it will ..and if anyone has already experienced this .. do you know the cure? Hi folks, I had a CTD wih FSX today. AppCrashViewer showed the "Fault Module" to be FSX's own native ATC.DLL. I was wondering how this standard DLL could cause the CTD, or is this simply an 'Out Of Memory' in disguise? Thanks in advance for any insight/
