Well Gentlemen, I also receive this terrain.dll crash in FSX:SE, With a plain vanilla install and the FSX 747 after about 4-5 hrs of flight. (tested that one last night) Yes, maybe I could avoid that by setting my settings lower (havent tried) but then again - If I need to lower my settings already in a plain vanilla install - what do I need to install FSGlobal mesh etc. then if I can't even have FSX's native 38m mesh display at highest settings? + FSX boxed never had that crash on my system, with a lot more demanding scenery installed and FSGlobal set to full right. And except of that - the sim should not crash - only because I have my settings a little too…

Hello everyone, I wanted to share a method with you that has helped me reduce the few freezes/CTD that I had in FSX with some add-on airplanes in the past. For example, flying the JustFlight BAe 146 resulted in spontaneous freezes during midflight, where the engine sound was still running, but the sim didn't react, and the only way to quit FSX was via Task Manager. On another occasion, loading up my Level-D 767 resulted in an immediate "Stack Hash" crash quite often after loadup. Few times I had other crashes that many of you are familiar with. Not many, though - that's maybe because I haven't overloaded my FSX with complex airport add-ons. I stress that the crashed w…

Hello all. Just got a weird hang on FSX SE. The app first failed to respond for a few min, but I waited it out. The app then came back and functioned fine. For a few min. Then it froze solid. Below is the XML from the hang. Any advice would be appreciated. Hi guys! I'm back this time with the error MSCVR80.dll . I have read the CTD guide and it suggests to uninstall SP2. but I own steam so I need some help here. I didnt fidget with the Visual thingies but yesterday I installed ASN and A2A C182 . I did a trial flight yesterday and everything went smooth. Just today has this error started to appear. ( I HAVE ALSO INSTALLED AN ENB so I'm thinking that may be a suspect too ) Error usually appears at around 2000ft to 4000ft over the runway after takeoff. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

Hello, I recently ran into a crash with FSX on start up. I recieve "Not Responding" when I view the program. I HAVE tried the logbook file fix by deleting the file. I recently uninstalled the PMDG 737, it seemed to start happening right after that. After FSX Steam working perfectly for a while,I suddenly seem to be getting a fatal ntdll error when loading any flight in FSX Steam and can't discover the cause. It occurs either during the 'loading' bar (around 20% during 'load terrain' sequence) or within seconds of the screen displaying irrespective of aircraft, freeware or default. I have been a 'flight simmer' since FS2002 days and my FSX settings are turned down relatively low and until now I haven't experienced this problem before. I don't think it can be memory related as I have disabled add-on scenery in the area loading, so am not loading high end airports or aircraft. I have tried following: - Removed ad…

Hello, All of a sudden today my FSX will not load. It crashes, it looks to me, like just as it's ready to load "land air and sea" traffic". I had been using WOAI with no problems but I went ahead and backed it up and deleted all the traffic. Still it would not load. So I downloaded the APPCrashView and it generated the following report. Hi guys! for the past 2-3 weeks I can't seem to finish a flight.. sometimes I can't even get to cruise level. The CTD is happening around part of NY State that facilitates NY City and the surrounding 50 miles or so. When I select any airport in this area as part of the where I want to start, etc it loads to 100% and then CTD. On the other hand, if I am flying toward this area there comes a point when the CTD occurs! I have always used Metro helipads for both FS9 and FSX but no issues in many years. I have disabled the pads, but still the CTDs. Running FSX with Acceleration. Herewith the Event Properties: <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> - <System> <Provider Name="Application Error" /> <EventID Qua…

I'm having similar problems with 2.5. I can't load the MCE dll anymore it crashes on start. With other addons about 1 in 4 loads will crash. Once it's running is ok. I think they changed the way dll linking works or the compiler libraries, and windows 8.1 doesn't like it. I have to do some more testing to isolate the addons and maybe try one of the P3D hotfixes, but in general 2.5 has been a step backwards for me. I get slightly more VAS but an addon I can't use and instability with other addons at start up :(

Hello, Want to start by saying that my FSX as been running pretty well and steady up until I added two new add-ons. I first added Ultimate Multi Crew Experience and then GSX. For some reason I can't find any appcrash logs in my windows event viewer from yesterday. So I'll try to describe these CTD the best I can. One error message I got a lot was ''FSUIPC.DLL is a problem and do I want to login with it or without it.'' If I hit yes it would CTD. If I hit no it would start up to the FSX main menu but as soon as I went to select aircraft it would crash. Per a Pete Dowson post I found, was to hit yes again and again to load FSX. And that It's only the initial trus…

I recently had a Hard Drive die. I had it replaced at a shop near me. So far all my programs run fine after re-install except the only program that matter! FSX! It seemed to run fine for about 24 hours. I have updated Drivers, installed FSUIPC, UIAutomationCore, put the anti virus in game mode and turned off the anti spy ware. I have an i7 2.8 with 8 gig ram, 2T sata drive, Radeon 7500 video, a pretty typical set up using Windows 7 64 bit. the FSX is installed where it was for YEARS prior to the problem, in Programs ( X 86 ) Microsoft Games/ Flight Simulator. It has run there fine for the entire life of the previous drive. My addons, are all the same addons that have b…

I am at wits end. FSX will open to welcoming screen but when I go to fly it crashes to the task bar and freezes the system so I need to reboot. I am running Win 7 w/64 bit on a GeForce GTX 650 which I just updated the driver. After this started I updated the latest version of FSUIPC and still will not go past the opening screen. On the event viewer I am getting this information:Log Name: Application Source: Application Hang Date: 1/29/2015 3:17:09 PM Event ID: 1002 Task Category: (101) Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: Richard-PC Description: The program rcv4.exe version 4.3.0.3845 stopped interacting …

So currently trying to fix two CTDs. 1) is the ai_player.dll crash upon exit of FSX. Currently run WOAI and went through and validated all the traffic files. Looked at the AVSIM CTD explanations and none seem to apply. Only change I made recently was increasing the taxi speed via Flusifix. I heard this modifies that .dll. Anyone else have this issue? 2) is the ending of a flight using the iFly 737NG. Works flawlessly the whole flight, the CTD just occurs when clicking end flight. Received a couple of .dll fault modules. One was a FS2Crew fault module and the other was just ifly.dll_unloaded. I'm really thinking it is a FS2Crew fault. Is this a known is…

Hi all, I recently installed my PMDG 747, and the installation completed succesfully as normal. And yes, i did pay for this addon. Anyway i started fsx up and it came up with the pmdg options dll thing and pmdg sounds dll thing so i clicked run to all of them. My fsx then crashed repeatedly everytime i clicked run. So, again i decided to reinstall it. I installed it properly with no issues and then i loaded up fsx, cli ked run to all the safety warnings and to my delight, it came up with the free flight menu as normal. So, i thought i was getting somewher, and i then clicked the select aircraft menu, chose the 747 rr engine model, and i clicked okay. Once again, my fl…

So it was my understanding that there were all kinds of FPS and smoothness improvements to the FSX Steam edition and also I've seen on youtube and read where the Steam edition has vastly improved the way VAS is used. After using FSX Steam for the past week, this is not the case. I would still get VAS issues running JUST these addons: - PMDG 777-200LRF - FTX Global + Vector - Rex 4 Texture Direct + Soft Clouds - Ideal Flight 10 - FSCaptain I would put the scenery settings in FSX on max including max scenery complexity and autogen density. I would load into the sim fine even at busy airports such as KLAX, KATL, KJFK or KBOS. The cruise would be fine eve…

Hello AVSIM Community, I recently purchased a Lenovo Y40-70 with a i7processor, 12gb ram, windows 8.1 64 bit and a amd radeon graphics card. I then purchased the FSX steam version. Since I have bought the program, I have been having issues with the program quitting to the desktop without explanation. At first I assumed I had a CTD issue however, I looked in the event logs and even contacted Dovetail games support and downloaded appcrash and found no evidence of any CTD. I am able to fly airplanes in the program but what happens, is when I attempt to open a menu (to select a plane or airport for example), the program freezes and closes to the desktop. I have done …
