Since upgrading to Win10 I have a lot of problems with FSX to. I can't run FSX in fullscreen mode. Every time a want to open a menu (for example : settings) I have to go to the normal screen mode first. In fullscreen mode FSX crashes. I had a lot of problems with Microsoft free download windows 10.It cost me 4 trips up and down a flight of stairs(Alienware Area-51 desktop) and $208.00 for and full download of windows 10. Hello, I started two days ago with P3Dv2.5 again after a break of about 3 month. But now the sim always crashs while loading the scenery. It doesen't matter which plane (PMDG, AS Airbus, default) I use or which scenery is activated or deactivated ... it always crashs at the same time. In this 3 month break I didn't make any bigger changes on my system beside the automatical Windows 8.1 updates and installing two other games. I also was always able to get P3D running after any issues but this time I am really struggling and any help is much appreciated. Ok so I suddenly started having an issue with low FPS in full screen mode in FSX DX10 the frames in full screen would be around 17 while in windowed mode they were 150fps when I tested in DX9 mode they were normal .... I fixed the issue by installing a windows update the only issue is that the update is this one KB2670838 update,you know the one that causes the whole d3d11.dll crash issue. Now my flight sim crashes randomly but I have good FPS can anyone point me to a fix. Also KB2670838 is listed as a Directx update according to Microsoft so I'm guessing my original issue stems from a bad Directx file. I tried uninstalling the update and the poor FPS returned. My FSX Gold Edition has been starting up, playing the first notes of music, then crashing with no error message. There is nothing in event viewer either. I have done several repairs using the CD. Specs are as follows: Windows XP 2002 Home Edition Service Pack 3 Intel Core 2 Duo CPU P8600 @ 2.40Ghz 1.99 GB of RAM I downloaded the CTD Guide Version 2. There is no APPCRASHVIEW for XP, but I was able to get a program to create a DMP file for when FSX.exe crashes. I have not been able to find a program to read DMP files. (If someone could grant me attachment posting privilges, I could post the whole file) I have never had this problem before. What is going on?

Hey all! Ive been simming a while now. Got a new desktop so i reinstalled some of the addons on P3D. Everything has been working fine. I setup my Saitek Switch and Multi Panels and had trouble linking them up to A2A C172 so I downloaded and installed SPAD and changed a few settings in A2A C172 configurator. Hi Guys, I'm at the end of my tether with this. I moved over to P3D from FSX a while ago, and have had nothing but trouble on a totally fresh install of Windows 7. I can't complete a flight in the PMDG 777 from Muscat to Abu Dhabi, the sim is constantly crashing either on the ground or during the descent. More often than not it's caused by gdiplus.dll. I remember I had this a while ago with FSX and it helped to go back to a previous Nvidia driver (344.65 I think worked). Didn't work this time though. Every 5/6 weeks i have to remove the side of my computer and blow it out with a can of compressed air, if i don't do this my computer crashes (Monitor goes black, seconds later computer will reboot itself) I bought my computer in August 2013, 6 weeks later it started to crash, i reinstalled and updated everything but was still crashing. Hi, Almost a year ago I purchased FS Global Real Weather and had been quite satisfied with it. But two days ago, I can no longer pull up the live weather link. I get the message "There was an error communicating with our server and the reason why this happened was logged for support purposes. Please check if your internet connection is working". Hey guys, been having issues with my FSX install since a couple of weeks... From a working point where everything was fine, I seem to have ran into the following issue: If I start up the sim, I can use it completely. Load up a flight, go wherever I want use the plane I want, etc. it all works fine, no issues, no crashes, nothing. The problem appears if I want to switch to another app. Whatever it is (for example the other day I wanted to look at a screenshot I was sent with coordinates to go to the exact place for comparisson shots, and when hitting ALT-TAB to go to explorer, FSX crashed...). Have had two incidents recently where the sim (Prepar3d in this case) has frozen and a low tone comes from the speakers. The computer then needs to be rebooted. I was thinking this may be related to overheating but not sure. Will give my PC a good cleaning for starters though it doesn't seem too dirty...Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi, I've been going around the houses for some time trying to find the cause of an ntdll.dll error. It happens on FS9 usually between 15mins to one hour after loading a flight (but sometimes longer). It can take place at any location or time of day. I've tried disabling add ons, ai traffic and most recently a clean reinstall of FS9 using the late Opa Marshall's reinstallation guide to ensure there are no remnants of my previous install. I've run chkdsk, reg checkers and checked BIOS settings but nothing seems to work. I have previously run FS9 on this system for about 4 years flawlessly. In the last 2 days i have tried to record a departure in FSX. I have turned off AI traffic also. When recording starts it takes literally 4mins and FSX immediately closes to desktop (CTD). Really annoying! I have the UIautomationcore in the FSX folder just for reference. I have an awesome new build (4790K, GTX 970, 500GB SSD, 16GB DDR3, etc...) and I have completed a fresh installation of FSX and add ons including RealityXP rxpGNS430. FSX flies great and I get in excess of 30FPS even at max settings and with Active Sky Next. On ending the flight FSX hangs waiting for some process but after a minute or two goes to the Free Flight screen with no other problem. This also happens when switching back to Free Flight from any other start screen item. I've checked the Windows Event Viewer and it seems that rxpDrop.dll and rxpGnsSim.dll are issues. I have reinstalled the rxp GNS430 completely from the Flight 1 installer but it's still hanging.…

There are serious problems causing ctd with addon manager. Many addons got clobbered and could not be restored until addon manager was uninstalled. I understand that some of the problems were due to windows 8.1 updates, but it seems that fixing this is a tedious process. Has anyone come up with a step by step procedure to remedy this? Ron

Hello. I have a massive problem with FSX (though not crashing) First, the program loads way faster than normal when started. Then, in the "Free Flight" page, the flight model (?) doesn't load. :o So I just ignored it and clicked "Fly Now!". Again, loading is super fast. And now is the biggest problem: It appears to have weird white "things" when I click on it. Some AI traffic do appear when I switch the camera to them, but nothing else displays. This is a problem I've never encountered before; I've tried everything, from deleting fsx.cfg, sceneries.cfg, disabling all scenery files and addons, and everything you can think of. Hello I've got the problem where fsx will start up and freeze on the splash screen. Weirdly i get the music running but nothing happens it eventually ends up not responding. I've done the usual fixes i.e. delete the logbook, delete cfg file etc. My specs: Intel Core i5 4960K 8gb RAM GTX970. fsx deluxe I've made no change to my pc recently. Played fsx last night.
