Crash To Desktop (CTD) Forum

Hello, I just did a clean install of FSX along with all of my addons, including FSDreamTeam KJFK and Quality Wings 757. I have seen many crashes about these two addons relating to the Addon Manager. When I load up the sim as an admin, I get no warning message - it simply quits to desktop. I tried many things, including uninstalling FSDreamTeam completely, deleting the Scenery/Facility folders in program data and removing the Shaders/Shaders10 folders. One thing to note is that when I install FSDT, I get an error message each time about my dll.xml "Error on line 1, position 46:". Does anyone have any tips? Hi. Im new to the AVSIM forums and am here seeking help with a problem I've been having. I just got a new, rather nice system that runs Windows 7 64 bit on an AMD FX 4130 Quad Core @3.80 GHz, 8 GB of RAM, with a Geforce GT720 with FSX SP2. The issue I've been seeing has been happening with about half my flights. I'll get about halfway through or nearing the end, and out of nowhere FSX just stops. It seems to happen at random and is majorly frustrating. I have to tab out and close the process to close FSX. Anyone else experience a total lock-up of FSX mid-flight approximately 4 hours into a flight caused by Service Control Manager Error IDs 7031 to 7001? Or if they have, what is causing it and how to stop it? At least that is what Event Vwr is throwing up.

Already posted this over at SImFlight, but as Pete is away on holiday I'm hoping maybe someone here could lend a solution. I've been getting a terrain.dll CTD within 4 minutes of loading up my sim. I'm loading my default saved siuation; active runway at EGPF, default trike. The strange thing is that when I disable FSUIPC, the crash stops occuring! This morning I did a clean install of FSX:SE with default settings and the FSX.cfg untouched. Loaded up the sim at the default situation and the sim ran for 10+ minutes with no crash. FSX disappears without giving any errors, mostly it happens when i switch it to window mode from full screen and vice versa. I've monitored VAS using process explorer VAS doesn't exceeds 2.8GB, and there is no crash report logs in Appcrash viewer neither in Event viewer. I've tried re-installing fsx still have the same issue, sometime i get CTD fault module name were DINPUT8.dll and in other CTD fault module was StackHash_addc. but now there is no CTD, fsx just disappears randomly without any error. tried all latest drivers and UIAutomationcore.dll stillno joy! For some reason, I get OOMs at 3.2GB instead of 4GB. I am using Process Explorer for monitoring VAS. I am using Windows 7 SP1 64 bit.

This just started happening: it doesn't matter what a/c I have loaded. I load a flight plan into RCV4, start FSX. After pressing fly now, I press alt+enter to window fsx. As soon as I so much as click on the RCV4 window, FSX crashes. It doesn't seem to crash at other times. I have updated REX Essentials Plus WoAi traffic files Several add on airport sceneries Updated nvidia graphics driver Automationcore.dll A machine with 16g of RAM quad core Intel processor 2.5 ghz nvidia gt870 graphics. This is just a little pondering on my part, out aloud, so to speak. Please read on if the subject interests you... I am enjoying FSX-SE with GenX! VFR scenery, whilst still retaining my old FSX disc installation which has ORBX sceneries. Both installations have SweetFX enabled. Over the past week I have been getting random crashes with P3D V2.4. I just had my first flight with the PMDG 777 crash on me after 5 hours, I know it wasn't an OOM as there was no message pointing towards the possibility of an OOM. I have installed WOAI, but I would like to know the actual cause and how to fix it. Hi All, Patience has ended. Just ended for the PMDG 777 around Europe. I could make a default BIKF-Keflavik from default CYYT-St Johns. I drive FedEx VA and used to flew around USA and Caribbean rather successfully using this forum suggestions, in legs of no more than two hours. But I just cannot fly to Aerosoft's EDDK, even following each and every rule stated in the forum's CTD and Configuration guides. The twist is that I have UIAutomationcore.dll, and have had a stable system for 12 months. Whilst trying to sort out my missing desktop after inadvertently downloading some adware, I find that FSX freezes after a few clicks on the Start Up Menu. My desktop is back, the virus is gone. Strange thing is, this happened 6 months ago when I updated my Nvidia driver. I quickly rolled back the driver and my menu was normal again, As part of my problem solving of the desktop issue, I update drivers, but when they didn't work, rolled back to the originals again. Got most of my "running out of VAS" problems straightened out, mainly (thanks to various posts) by removing ALL photorealistic scenery and AI traffic (PMDG 737NGX, ASX), but now have infrequently seen a light, transparent gray "fog" over the panel and get the "FSX (Not Responding) and FSX hang-up. Very annoying since not VAS related (supposedly). Has anyone else had this problem and know what could cause it ??

All of the sudden, Im having CTDs only a few minutes into each session and have determined it is the Panels.dll faulting module. I have been using FSX:SE only. Yet every time I start a flight, a crash report shows up with "Creative_Audio_Engine_Cleanup.0001", though FSX continues to work fine. I strongly believe this is related with some changes that Steam performed in my system - it is also reported by many other Steam users. Hi, last Sunday I enjoyed a flight Airbus X and returned yesterday to FSX. Twice I got a freeze already in the settings phase with Airbus X (???), then I started a flight with PMDG T7 and everything was well ( I thought so). Because the flight was to take over 4 hrs, I after flying some 30 mins left the simulator for about 1 hour. When I returned everything seemed to be ok, but then I had a look outside the window.
