Crash To Desktop (CTD) Forum

So recently I accidently hit dont trust the add on manager and now whenever I reinstalled it and clicked ok to trust it fsx crashes. I've already tried updating fsuipc, repairing fsx, deleting the fsx.cfg, deleting the logbook thing and uninstalling the quality wings 757 and reinstalling it to get the add on manager that came with it. I've searched everywhere for a solution, just don't want to reinstall fsx I have to many add ons. I've already told my anti virus to exclude scanning the couatl exe and the bglmanx.dll. Is there someone with my same problem? Also when I disbale the add on manager fsx pops up but it crashes when I choose the quality wings 757.

Hello, I have had this problem for a while now, but never really had the motivation to see what was causing it and how to fix it. Flying around in free flight is good enough for me most of the time. However it is nice to fly some missions once and a while and I would like to do that however I get a fatal error when trying to load them. The mission appears to be loading everything normally, however when the loading bar gets to 100%, i see the windows spinning wheel and soon after get the fatal error message. So I give up, I won't say I tried everything but I definitely tried a lot of things... I'm getting the good old R6025 -pure virtual fonction call error for no apparent reason really, it started one day and from this day on I keep getting it every single flight. Hi Everyone I have been simming many years and never experienced the dreaded BSOD until today and never really followed the threads about it as I had no need to. I have had OOM issues from time to time but can usually manage that successfully. I was 2hr into a flight between KJFK and CYVR flying the PMDG B77W. I last night installed the FSDT KJFK V2 and was wondering if that is likely to have anything to do with it or is it simply an unlucky coincidence? Am I likely to regularly see this now - any thoughts? Obviously I was well away from KJFK when the error occurred. Any comments or information about this would be appreciated. Tim

Ever had an OOM with 59% of your VAS left? I have had exactly the same crash at exactly the same point in my flight three times in a row. I never normally get OOMs. Anyone ever had the same?

I have noticed now that not always but usually I will be in FSX and everything is fine. If I click on a different window or minimize the screen when I come back to FSX I have a black screen but can still hear ATC etc. There is no real number of how many times I change a window for it to occur. It just occurs randomly but then I have to close down and restart FSX. Anybody have any suggestions?

Hi ! I have a problem, today when i started FSX (it was the third time that i started fsx this day), it crashed before the main screen, i can't even choose an aircraft or anything else. The error log says that api.dll is the faulty module. I'm running on W8.1, [email protected], 8Gb RAM and a GTX670. Any help would be appriciated, thanks.

Hello All! I've been recently recording with FRAPS on FSX, like yesterday. I had SquawkBox running, as well as fraps and FSX. I lost about 10-15 framerate when recording, and when I am recording, if I click something to many times, it crashes. Could someone help me get better Framerate? Thanks

I normally close and open FSX in windowed mode so that I can move it to my main display. I run 2 screens and Windows 8.1 on a 3.9GHz dual core processor. This normally works fine with DX10 fixer from Steve. Recently an annoying thins happens at 19:56 most evening. FSX freezes momentarily and returns to a windowed mode with anything I had on the 2nd screen loaded on top of the cockpit display. Have tried to find something running in the background such as an auto up-date in another programme but no luck yet. Any ideas please? Alan

Hello everyone! If possible, could anyone explain me why I’m having OOM erros with my VAS (monitorized in process explorer) around 3900000KB (3.8GB)? Shouldn’t it happen after the 4GB mark? In my previous system, I remember the ding coming from FSUIPC when FSX was about to crash, but now I’m having OOM errors even before that. Really out of ideas here… I have Win7 x64 and installed that MS Fit it tool that changes 768 to 1024 in the sharedsection entry. Regards, Daniel

Hi peeps! I have installed the FSX SDK today, but I'm having a lot of issues. I first installed it not to the default location, then uninstalled it and again installed it, this time in the default location. I don't know if this can help, but for some reason when I click on ConfigSDK and write Yes it crashes and also I don't see any SDK box in the FSX bar during the flight. Anyone have this problem? I will be flying along and I get a sudden windows minimize event. FSX is NOT crashing because I recover by bringing up the task manager and select "switch to FSX" and all is well again. I run windows 7 and auto update is turned off. Whats really interesting is I have another PC running games in windows XP and I get this event. Maybe my router? Maybe my internet provider? Maybe magnetic waves? Thanks for any help! Airbus

In my homecockpit to avoid the big time consumption in opening and draging panels, In MYCOCKPIT.ORG forum someone tell me to save the aircrafts which I flew through my cockpit in parking with draged panel in their positions in order to open the next flight through the saved file, so all the panels are in their saved positions. but when I done that the FSX gets ATC.dll CTD !!! Earlier today I started up my computer and then FSX. About 1/2 way into the load my system froze and I had to restart my computer. The system didn't restart so I disconnected the power and tried again after a minute or two. I had a memory missing code so I reseated the memory. When I restarted the system it went to the default 4.4GHz. I reloaded my OC and the system started without a problem. I will add that I have been running this OC for over a month without as much as a hick-up. Hello fellow simmers! I recently bought the PMDG MD-11, and I've got to say, it's an amazing aircraft. I absolutely love the way it handles and all of the systems. But now.. I found out that after programming the FMC, starting the engines etc. and getting ready to depart (which takes about 20 ~ 30 minutes), the game just freezes, my cursor changes into a the hourglass icon, the screen goes white and a new window comes up saying "A fatal error occured" and "Restarting Flight simulator X" (Or FSX.exe, not sure since I'm not planning to do all this again just to get that error again.. ). This is very frustrating since I just want to land this thing instead of programming…

Hello, Just thought I check and see if anybody is having this issue. After owning A2A Piper for about a week I decided to take a long flight 4+ hours. Twice now after about 3 hours my sims CTD. I have not had any other 3rd party aircraft do this. I also own A2A C172 and have taken long flights. I have tried to get in touch with A2A, via forum and email. But no luck. Forum registration has issues and I cannot get someone to reset my password, I emailed them about this issue...and still no luck. I'm thinking it's an overheating problem...but not sure. Hi guys, When running Active sky 2012 on a Asus Intel I3 S200e Notebook running windows 8 I get a system-thread-exception-handled-error-windows mrxsmb.sys error and it shows a BSOD. Wishing to run a networked solution which did work until windows was reinstalled. I appear to have all the updated drivers for graphics etc. Any ideas.

Hello, I've recently started developing more and more errors in fsx, but I have two major ones. Firstly, whenever I click on a different window other than FSX, I get a error saying that the memory ould not be written! Secondly, whenever I try to start FSX using FPS limiter, I get a error saying that it could not load limiter_d3d9.dll - error code 126. I just reinstalled FS, but no joy. Can somebody shed some light on this situation?

Hi Folks, I've always used DX9 and it has been many years since I had a CTD of any kind. I recently decided to try DX10 and bought Steve's Fixer. With everything set up, it looked great and performance was great too. Only one problem - after around 10 mins of use, I get a black screen of death / lock up. I then can't even get Task Manager up and have to do a hard reboot of the PC. Steve mentioned on another thread that this was perhaps caused by a "Windows Update" that causes DX10 to crash.
