We shall take a seaplane trip from Prince Rupert's Seaplane Aerodrome up the Observatory Inlet and the Portland Canal to Stewart. Then quick stops at Meyers Chuck and Thorne Bay before finally arriving at Ketchikan, Alaska. The details will follow shortly. Cascadia – Washington & Oregon Saturday’s flight crisscrosses between the Pacific Ocean and the Cascade range and features landings at a number of Orbx airstrips including Bill Womack’s just released Pearson Field in Vancouver Washington. Starting from Bowerman (KHQM) we fly 70nm east to land at Swanson (2W3). From there we will follow the Nisqually River valley through the foothills of Mt Rainier to Packwood (55S) located on the Cowlitz River. Heading southeast we skirt the east side of Mt St Helens before descending over the Swift Reservoir and then search out and land at Walter Sutton’s Private Strip (WA79). Just thinking that we are likely to schedule some legs up the Pacific Coast and through Alaska this summer. Given the "half-price" sale at Orbx, this May would be a good time to pick up Pacific Fjords and/or Southern Alaska (or the special payware airports) if you are so inclined.

This year, Britain's Royal Air Force is celebrating its centenary and there are real world commemoration events planned throughout the summer. So I thought we could join in with a couple of RAF-themed Saturday flights. These will take place on the next two Saturdays, 12th and 19th May. We are going to start in the far southwest and make our way over the two weeks to the north of Scotland, dropping in at RAF airfields past and present on the way. We'll have a gentle start from Newquay Airport EGHQ, the former RAF St Mawgan. Up the north coast of Cornwall and Devon to RAF Chivenor EGDC, followed by a long leg to RAF Brize Norton EGVN. That's the straighforward stuff…

This year, Britain's Royal Air Force is celebrating its centenary and there are real world commemoration events planned throughout the summer. So I thought we could join in with a couple of RAF-themed Saturday flights. After this weekend's PNW trip, the following two weekends (12th and 19th May) will be a tour of RAF bases past and present. The well-known Mach Loop low level training area in Wales might also figure. As not everyone is a regular fast jet pilot, I am posting this advance notice so you can get some practice in! The plan will be designed with subsonic jets in mind; these could include the Hawk/Goshawk, L-39, Sabre, F-100 (if you don't go mad …

After the last two weeks of intense Q400ing (bet you didn't know that was a verb), we're going to have a nice leisurely GA flight in Denmark. We start at the port city of Esbjerg (EKEB) on the west coast of Jutland and fly inland to the small GA airfield at Vamdrup (EKVD). Leaving Vamdrup, we cross the towns of Kolding and Middelfart and on to the island of Funen. The largest city on Funen, and the third largest in Denmark, is Odense, the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen, and we land at the regional airport (EKOD). Our visit to Funen is brief and we head back to Jutland and the small grass strip at Rarup (EKRA). Next we cross to the island of Samsø, which fortu…

I bear no responsibility for this flight. Send all complaints to Roger Brooke c/o Brummieville UK. Thank you Roger. Look for the server in the 'Hubs' list of JoinFS (vT1.4.12) named AVSIM Saturday Flight. I know it's not Saturday all right? Teamspeak details same as Saturday-- ts.teamavsim.com First aircraft leaves at 19:30 Zulu (you work it out, I can't!) Flight plan HERE If you intend to go native, please wear something under your kilt. Aircraft is Run what ya brung. It should be a reasonably quick erplane though. I'll be in a Milviz 310 Redux.

Use something with a little more 'oomph' this time. I'm using the RV7. There is a bit of mountaineering, grass strips and airports with facilities. We start at Darrington and end at Darrington although there is a chance Darrington wont be there when we get back! So take any valuables with you. Flight plan HERE Oh, 18:30 UDT kick off that's 7:30 pm English time. Your mileage may vary

I don't know about you lot, but I'm thinking a midweek (Wednesday?) flight would not come amiss. There must be a few of us, not to mention those that can't make Saturdays, that would make it feasible. I would suggest a start time of 1900 UDT. Yes I know a lot of you on the western side of the Atlantic have jobs to do (except Jeff, he's a government employee ) Suggestions on a postcard

Hey all, I need 1 or 2 volunteers to beta test the newest beta version of the duenna. It is a complete redesign of the program. You need to be running at a minimum Windows 7. What I need is for you to run the Duenna and intentionally try to break it. Try to violate the rules, as well as follow the rules. Thanks,
