Is this getting boring? Tough. Island Air operate between Honolulu, Kahului, Kona and Lihue (That's Hawaii for those without an atlas) N681WP, named 'Ola Kupono', is a sister to N682WP called 'Na'au Pono' (Google them yourselves :)) As usual, MediaFire now or AVSIM later.

Germany South Part II : Roman heritage, more castles and towns For this flight we stay at the westernmost part of Germany until we make a short turn to the east. Departure airport will be Trier-Föhren (EDRT), and we will land at Saarbrücken (EDDR), Lachen-Speyerdorf (EDRL), Baden-Oos (EDTB), Neuhof (LFGC, yes, that's in France!), Freiburg (EDTF), and Schwenningen (EDTS) before we reach our destination for today, Friedrichshafen (EDNY). Blue Ridge Fall Colors This is just a quick Fall Colors tour of the scenic Blue Ridge in Virginia and North Carolina. We have been here before, so you may be familiar with many of the airfields. We shall depart from Indian Head Maryland (2W5) and proceed to fly up the Potomac River and pass over Washington National Airport (KDCA) [we somehow have clearance to do this] up the river to the Georgetown NDB GTN where we turn south west to land at Manassas Regional (KHEF). This first part is a scenic flight and might be done at a leisurely pace. Then we shall go down the Shenandoah Valley to enjoy the colors. In succession, we land at Shenandoah Regional (KSHD), Ingalls…

This week we will be flying in the heart of Colorado. Be sure to bring lots of oxygen as we will be flying high. We will also be repeating the gauntlet run down the Black canyon so hold on to your hats as it is even better in V4. I will be flying a Lancair as we have almost 400 miles to cover. If we cant make it we can continue the following week and I will add more stops and POIs. You will need ORBX NA, Vector, Fee NA airports and FreeMesh USA additionally ORBX KTEX, KEGE, and Aerosoft Aspen will even make it better. See ya there. Josh Here is the flight plan. http://www.mediafire.com/file/92ej8quj9qx6bi7/Rocky_Mountain_High.pln

I thought I post this early to give people chance to hone their jet fighter skills (Well, mine anyway) The theme for next Saturday, 9th Sept is U.S.A.F. fighters circa 50s-70s. Namely, F86, F100 F-4 Phantoms and the like. We'll set off from March AFB in SoCal (Where it never rains) finishing at Klamath Falls, calling at several U.S. A.F National Guard bases along the way. It's a 700ish mile trip so we can make good use of POWAH! Hopefully, the weather will be a little more clement than New Zealand's offerings. Sunset at Klamath Falls is 7:25:43 pm and the Officers Mess stops server dinner at 8pm but the bar will remain open! Now PlanG tells me tha…

The Oregon Coast This week we're going for a complete change of pace after last week's fast jet shenanigans. We'll start at Troutdale (KTTD), a small but quite busy GA airport near KPDX Portland where we finished last week, and make our way at a leisurely pace towards the coast, although there will be a stop at Vernonia (05S) and maybe a little challenge on the way. First stop at the coast will be Astoria, at the mouth of the Columbia River, then we head south hitting all the coastal airfields including Siletz Bay (S45), as far as Newport (KONP). Dinner reservation is at Mo's Seafood and Chowder. Additional: the City of Portland needs the undersides of all th…

Based on Gunter's recommendation to make a soundai folder and soundai.cfg for mucho better MP sounds I made a little tool. Yeah - copying the sound folder somewhere else, renaming it to soundai, renaming the sound.cfg to soundai.cfg then placing the folder back is rather easy but can seem tedious.. So I created a little batch file to do it for you in one little step. Later on (much later) I just may code it into the multiplayer tool. It's here To use it just copy the bat to the aircraft folder wanting to mod and run it selecting the options desired. Note - Unsure if this will work. Option "m" creates the soundai folder and soundai.cfg but it aliases back to …

Texans over Tauranga (Redux) This week’s tour is a repeat of a tour we flew back in March of 2016 and features stops along the northwest coast of the North Island of New Zealand. Starting at Whakatane (NZWK) on the Bay of Plenty, the route continues to Rotorua (NZRO), Tauranga (NZTG), Pauanui Beach(NZUN), Great Barrier(NZGB), Whangarei(NZWR), Kerikeri (NZKK), before reaching the final airport at Kaitaia (NZKT) after flying 281nm. If you think you are a real hotshot pilot I encourage you to join me in flying the A2A T-6 Texan. A session with the Texan always makes me aware of my limitations as a sim pilot. Participants who have that aircraft are encouraged to…

Avenue of the Volcanoes. In our second Andes flight, we travel over southern Colombia and then through the dramatic "Avenue of the Volcanoes" to visit three major Ecuadorian cities: Quito, Guayaquil, and Cuenca. We start at Antonio Narino Airport (SKPS) that serves Pasto – the airport is famous for its "aircraft carrier" character, perched on a narrow plateau. We then head south over Pasto and pass Galeras volcano to land at Ipiales San Luis (SKIP). Then we proceed past Ibarra (SEIB) as a waypoint, circle south around Imbabura volcano, and fly over the new real-world-active international airport for Quito. (This is designated as SEQM in our scenery but is now SEQU…

The Andes of Venezuela This week we shall get a taste of the less-well-known northern Andes of Venezuela and Colombia. We begin at Barquisimeto, Venezuela's fourth largest city. Jacinto Lara International (SVBM) is a relatively large regional airport. We head southward to Guanare (SVGU), a commercial, cultural, and pilgrimage center on the border of the great Los Llanos grasslands that extend far to the east. Then back up into the Andean valleys to the small mountain city of Boconó (SVBK). Turning southward, and upward, we climb up into the mountain ridges to land at the Andean university city of Mérida (SVMD). And then further into the Andes, through high mountain …
