Hi all. I'm doing a flame paint on a Baron 58. On the RIGHT engine (co-pilot side), there is a large square'ish box that has the name plates applied from two files; "Tinted.bmp" and "Winb58.bmp"... However, I can't match this box area with any of the spec, bump, or alpha channels from any file. It blocks that section of the engine nacelle... right over flames i want there. Anyone know how I can get rid of that?? Pics:

Hello all, I am looking for a certain font which is called 'Mediaeval SB-XBold Italic'. Unfortunately I don't own this font and I guess passing it on to me is not what the publisher likes to see. But if somebody who's got this font can help me out by typing a certain text an sending it to me as vector file (preferable AI file, but everything else does it too), would be kindly appreciated. I am currently working on an older repaint for the the 737-700 and there's no other way to get a high-res version of the text I need, especially with regards to those high.res textures the PMDG 737 NGX offers. kind regards, Christian

I'm have very limited experience doing repaints and the ones I have done have been with simple paint kits. I'm trying to do a repaint of the Quality Wings Avro RJ70, but the paint kit layout and manual are somewhat confusing. This will be the first airliner I've tried to paint. In the paintkit, each aircraft has a main fuselage psd file where you can basically can layout your entire paint. There are several other psd files that have only sections of the fuselage, tail, and nose. According to the manual, these are the files that are used for the actual aircraft in MSFS. So my question is, what use is the master psd fuselage file for if it isn't used for the actual airc…

Hello, I have been repainting for a quite long time (3 years) However over those past 3 years I have never learned how to make a decent Aluminum or Metal texture like American Airlines has. Does anyone have a few tips or points on how to make a good texture sheet for it?

N33RH Built in 2006 by Richard Henning, of Bend, Oregon and owned by Valerie Henning (What a nice man to build the lady an airplane!) N33RH is a very tricked out little machine. Leading and trailing edge wingroot fillets, chrome wheels, chrome air intake inserts and no canopy release handle! Not that I could see anyway. However you look at it, it's purty. I hope I've done it justice. My turn: Going through the mill at AVSIM now.

No where even close to done but I'm 6hrs into work and need a break before my wrist dies. Anyway.. I was getting sick of looking at the interior of of Carenados 152 ][. Just old, dated, and danky and the Orbx repaint w/ the VC using 4096 textures looked more of the same, and for an "HD" interior it looked just like the default 1024 textures. Some extra "umph" was needed. An extra mile was needed to be gone! Sooooooo I decided to start a refurb of it and giving it a more classic, and slightly more modern look.. Upscaled everything up to 2048, working out the "noise" from the initial low resolution.. I'll probably end up straight replacing the carpet texturing as it's a bi…

Found this Cockpit on LancairLegacy.com and I got a good portion of the way painting her and decided to see if I could find any pictures of the exterior.. In doing so I came upon something I didn't expect to find. An NTSB report.. Unfortunately this aircraft and its owner are no longer with us. :( Decided to carry on though as I'd like to think the owner would like to see his design carried on even in a virtual form.. I've been wrestling with this one for days now and can't find a solution. I've repainted an aircraft (Aerosim 787) using their paint kit psd's. The native size is 1024x, but I've increased the size to 2048x prior to painting. The larger textures look perfect during the day time, sharp lines, smooth curves, rivets, etc. However, at night, the night and _LM textures look like they're half the resolution, smeared all around the aircraft. This occurs if I use anything other than dds 888 32, which unfortunately results in 16mb textures. If I save as dxt5 extended, or dds dxt5 the blurring at night reoccurs. This one is a bit of a puzzle.
