Hey guys. I am working on starting a virtual airline, and as you might have guessed, the name is ''flyScandinavia'' I have hired a logo designer to get me a logo, and a web designer who is currently working on a website for my VA. I wanted to show you guys the livery i have come up with, and hopefully get some feedback and suggestions. So what i'm wondering is: what do you think about the colors? And the whole livery itself? I gladly take suggestions that will better the design. Like what colors would you go for? And maybe change the livery? What font do i use for the text and so on, i am open to everything. Could someone please describe how high-definition repaints (such as those produced by McPhat Studios and, more recently, AZI Studios) are produced when the stock paint kits for the aircraft are not in high definition? I am assuming that a brand new paint kit must be designed, but how is this done, and is there an easy way to convert the existing kit to a higher-definition one? I have never really learned how to use image-editing programs proficiently, but nevertheless was able to create a fictional repaint for the Level-D B767 thanks to the wonderful tutorial provided by one of the painters. Hey guys, I'm in the middle of painting a Realair Turbine Duke for my VA and I can't find where the textures for the Prop cone and the exhaust are. The prop cones show up as a very dark grey with no chrome and the exhaust tips are just a dark puke brown and I want them to be chrome. -Thanks!

This little plane comes in two flavours, a standard Scout and an amphibian. Standard: ...and the amphibian: My turn: I have to say there are a couple of anomalies with this paint. The most obvious is the 'Scout' on the rudder. There is one piece of the paint that serves both sides of the rudder. Screenshots from the starboard side only! The next one is, as the eagle eyed will have noticed, the same for the wings. The RW aircraft the pattern isn't symmetrical but the paintkit has one wing fits all. Lastly, on the amphibian, the words 'GO WITH THE FLOW' should only be on the outsides of the floats. What is Scalaria I hear you ask…

Hey All, A couple of years ago I tried repainting a POSKY 777 in BA colours but gave up. I'm going to try again but this time with the BA 767. Here's what I've managed to do so far: Comments and Pointers... To be honest I'm not sure if I'm doing anything right, e.g. how I'm painting it. Also, how do you do the tail? Hi I'm looking for a bit of help with the final stages of a repaint I've been using various tutorials and a lot of trial and error to create a mythical airline for myself using the pmdg 747-400 paint kit and photoshop cs5. Unfortunatly I've got to the point that I've created my livery and converted the relavent files to dds files but I'm now stuck I've looked at the tutorials and on youtube but the links are either dead or not what I'm looking for. Can someone please point me in the right direction as to how I now go about getting it into fsx so i can then adjust what i'm sure will be quite a few mistakes either a tutorial or youtube video. Hi all... I'm hoping one of you gurus out there might be able to let me know where I'm going wrong with this... I attempted my first repaint of the Carenado Skymaster last night and while the textures were saved with an alpha channel and look just fine (albeit a little tweaking needed just yet!), the bump mapping is called just fine and I'm guessing the specular is also called just fine (though it's hard to tell), BUT I still do not get any of those nice, glossy reflections that show up on the inculded paint jobs. I've tried saving as regular BMP, Extended BMP, DDS, saving through the Nvidia tool in Photoshop, Using DXTBmp, Using Imagetool... Nothing seems to …

Greetings all, I have searched high and low for pictures and/or tail art representing the Alaska Airlines 1970-80's schemes such as the "Prospector, The Onion, Totem etc..." In fact at one time I found a site with them and in a rush did not bookmark it..... (arrgghhh... WTH was I thinking ?) Does anyone know of a source or have pictures they would be willing to share? Does anyone know if anyone has done a fictional hawaiian airlines repaint for the pmdg ngx. (I have not found one in the various flight sim libraries) I know there is one for the ifly ngx. If someone could complete one I would greatly appreciate it.

Hello, I run FSX on a Win7 X64 with 2 video cards and 3 monitors . nvidia GTX 560 ti and nvidia GTX 550 ti in Full screen. I fly Most left monitor with window "nex view" spot, Middle monitor with window Spot, Right monitor with 2D cockpit. Most of the aircrafts have NO problem BUT with some aircrafts I have a problem with the textures (?) on the left monitor. Any recommendations? thanks in advance Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I see there are two new paint offering from Corel, Paint Shop Pro X5 and Painter 12, what the difference in these ?, which one would be better for repainting aircraft in FSX or FS9 ?

Hey guys, here is a photo real Cathay Pacific paint on the PMDG model. It has custom photo windows and is made from many photos. It's almost done and I just need to ajust a few things and then it will be ready for upload.

I have the Just Flight BAe 146-200 addon for FSX. I'm currently working on an Air BC paint job with the included paint kit. I'm using Photoshop CS5. When I want to transfer sections from the fuselage files to the texture files I want to copy the guides from the Guides layer and the paint job from my Paint layer at the same time. I linked these 2 layers but I can only copy and past the paint layer but not the guides from the Guides layer. Reason why I want to copy and past the guides is because the texture files have those same guides and I need to align them together so that the paint is perfectly lined up. How do I copy and paste 2 linked layers into another image?

Hi I've just started to get into repaints and I've decided to create my own airline and i'm looking for blank templates for the A318-321 for use with the Airbus x from aerosoft but I've no idea where to look I've been playing around with the pmdg 737ngx and 747-400 templates and would lioke to add the airbus as well can someone point me in the right direction please thanks

Does anyone know what font was used by United Airlines on the Battleship Grey livery? I'm finishing a repaint and am having a hard time finding the right font with the right thickness (or boldness). I've come close with a font called Times ten small caps and it doesn't look bad, but it could be better. I tried to select bold typeface in Photoshop but apparently that option isn't available for that font. Thanks, Todd

I am working on a Project Airbus A320 paint, and I am not satisfied with the texture's reflectiveness. Can this be remedied? -Michael
