Hi I am trying to change the registration of a repaint and it all goes ok up until i load the aircraft in FSX. It loads the wrong way around with the tail colour at the nose and visa versa. I edit the file in photoshop but am unsure of what i am doing wrong.Kind Regards Chris

I've started dabbling into repaints, and have started with the PMDG 1900D. I opened the 1900d_fuse_t.psd file, which has all the layers, of course.I add paint to a new transparent layer which I place just above the livery layer, but all the rivets are covered up. I can get the seams to appear by increasing the opacity and fill of the alpha seams layer. However, there is no alpha rivets layer.Forst of all, how does an alpha seam layer differ from a regular seam layer?How can I get the rivets to appear under the paint?I'm using GIMP. Thanks!!Todd

I'm new to the forums so I'm not sure if I should be posting this here. Anyways I've tried repainting an aircraft but no luck. Can someone repaint the Default FSX 738 Unmarked Airliner except those red paints are orange? I also want a few designs on the winglets like an orange background with two white feathers making an "X" both in the outer and inner winglets.The tail can be the same too. I am sure I may get blasted for asking this but I am fairly new to painting, have been painting the iFly 737 which has a left/right/belly part to the .psd file. With regards to the POSKY 777 I see the left side with all the different layer areas in the layers menu, as well as a section for the right side... But how do you paint the right side? All I can think of is after paiting the left you'd have to copy each layer from the left into the right side, but no clue how to get it to the right side....Any help is appreciated..Thank you.

Morn'n Folks, Anyone have a quick and easy way to make a font slope in the opposite direction from the way it normally slopes ??? I've seen a number of GA planes with there N-numbers sloped in such a manner - I guess to simulate the wind blowing them towards the rear.Regards,Scott

Hey everyone,I want to try out painting some aircrafts but i've encountered a problem. I am unable to open some of the .bmp files in my texture folders, couple of them I can't open at all. I have tried opening them up with Paint.net, photoshop, and gimp, but no joy. Something I have spotted is that the ones that have the preview on the thumbnail i can open, while the ones that don't have it i can not. Is the .bmp file locked or is it damaged (probably not since i get these files from a majority of different developers)? And most of these aircrafts do not have paint kits either. Can anybody help me out?? Thanks!

Hi,I'm looking for someone to paint me a plain black texture for FSX's default 737-800. Gears, windows & such in default colors of course, only the fuselage, wings (under the wings also) and the tail in plain black.Something like this, in full black. Outlines of windows etc (in a slightly lighter color) would be awesome, but not a must. Morn'n Folks,I'm pretty familiar with PSP and I have used it for many years on projects other than those for Flight Sim... One thing I was wondering - is there anyway to flare a line ??? I'm talking about those "vector" lines added by the pen tool... Now that I am working on a few aircraft paints - the obvious use would be for creating various stripes down the side. I want the line to start at a point and get progressively wider down the length of the line...Is that possible ??? If not - feel free to offer any suggestions... Well, I started fooling with some Gothic designs, one was a bit too pastel pink, and the boyfriend told me I couldn't paint a plane like that... Red rag to a bull you know? So... C-HICK was born. I spent around three hours this morning working from the ground up, most of that is hand drawn, with some patterns used as templates in places. Its pink, its girly, and you know what? I've painted some planes in FS9, but now I have a new PC and can run FSX.I want to repaint the Carendao C185F in the Ultima Thule Lodge color scheme. Since it's mainly red with a yellow reg number and a log on the tail it should be fairly simple.However, I'd like to give it the pop and shine and not just do a rush job.My question is, when I open the texture file in the Carenado 185 file there is the "texture" white paint kit version. I assume this is the one I need to start with.
