Hi All, This is my first real world repaint for a while and my first on AVSIM. I have painted for Virtual Airlines for years but have decided to give the real birds a go. I've started on the new RAZBAM Metroliner with OLT Express. These are OLT's retro colours. If anyone would like this repaint please send me a PM, It wont let me upload it to AVSIM for some reason. I would like to give my Carenado Cessna Skymaster the paint from the Skymaster used in the Stephen King movie Night Flier. This is an addapted paint from a military version of the Skymaster, all black with some of the red markings on it. My problem being that everything I tried so far resulted in an aircraft that shows like a silhouette with windows against the sky colors and all detail of the aircraft is lost. What can I do to create a black paint that still shows the detail of the aircraft?

Hello. I am in the process of getting a system to handle FSX for the first time. In my prep for that, I checked for AI compatability from FS9 and FSX. I downloaded the latest FDEs for Aardvark's AI. In their "AI Aardvark FSX models release #1" they mentioned that their models have lightmap issues with FSX. There is a .pdf about it in the download. Basically they said that new lightmaps will need to be made for the tail logos to show at night (as they currently fade into the model). It was mentioned to use Photoshop to "move the origional lightmap layer over the base texture and and then set the lightmap layer to 'Multiply' , then save it." All Greek to me. …

hi guys i am looking for someone to do some custom repaints for the 777-300/200 and aerosoft a320 cfm, i have photos i would like to have put on the tail of the planes, i don't have photo shop and have no clue and i have seen alot of great work from the community,if you are interested to reply to this topic or message me with what you would charge me, thanks Brett.

Are there any ex-US Army pilots out there that remember this: I've done my best to replicate this bird but there are a couple of things I can't do anything about. 1: On the co-pilot's side the real one has observation windows below the 'waistline' 2: The real one doesn't have spinners! Hello, I am currently working on a set of Qatar Airways liveries and I am having a real hard time getting the names of the airplanes done. I have started with A7-BBA named 'Alhuwalla' but I can't get it written in the proper way. Very proud of this bird.The real -9 is coming to Houston by the end of August, so, I will make a version 2 that will be even more accurate for the model. But for now, version 1 looks pretty dang good. No link, maybe you can find it on this www, as the original file was removed...but I'm sure someone re-uploaded somewhere. I don't own the Airbus X however I have had the work done for me and provided as dds files. I'm wondering how the registration and SELCAL plate is customised. Assuming it is done through the texture files, can anyone point me in the direction of the real-world font or as close to it as possible? If it is not done through the texture file, is it added somewhere else? Thanks in advance.

I would like to request someone to make a repaint for the default c208b in fsx in Seaport Air livery. I've recently repainted an Extra 300 aircraft into RAF Colours on FSX, but when I click on the plane to load it, FSX crashes, any idea why it does this? Every other aircraft works fine, renamed the repaint, done all that I need too, just doesn't seem to work! It also happens if I click details when selecting the aircraft. I did import the old alpha-channel too. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated!

Hy everyone. i just recently started doing repaints and i would like to share some difficulties i am having. Wilco ejects 170/190 i painted and now it shows all black in the fsx- after painted in Photoshop cc i saved as TARGA and on DXTBmp i flipped and alpha / save as / texture dds / dds1 no alpha / saved. I am doing this process for all the aircraft's that i cant find the paint kit pdf or manual. So currently i am stuck with this: Wilco ejets 170/190 - fsx shows all black. I recently purchased the Wilco Harrier Jump GR3 with a view to making some repaints . As I had been stationed at RAF Wittering in the early 70's and was ofcourse the home of 1 squadron which flew the Harrier ( although at that time it was the GR1 ) . To my surprise although one of the textures was marked as being a repaint of a 1 sqn aircraft , the badge was 4 sqn . Searching the internet it became clear that most aircraft " served " with other squadrons during their " carreer " , the only difference being the code on the tailfin .Have made a start on " improving " the paint kit , as a lot of detail is " missing ' with regards to lines and access panels and the texture ma…

I am doing a Southwest Airlines Colorado One repaint for the the NGX, but I have some problems. (This is only my second repaint.) 1) The blue on the body looks very faded. 2) When pasting the paintwork into the fuselage night files, they arrive 3x larger than the background. I spent around a hour trying to line the paintwork up, but I couldn't. Is there any tip or trick to do this? 3)Any tips or tricks to line up the paintwork? I tried to post a picture, but something is wrong with the URL.

Hey guys, I was flying to Vulcan, Alberta and got an inkling to paint the Cherokee in a Star Trek scheme. The original Enterprise and this Cherokee are about the same vintage I still might play with the scheme a little more, but will upload when finished. Cheers TJ
