Hey guys, I'm painting the -600, and i have some problems i need help with. I am making a repaint of Braathens SAFE 737-500 on the PMDG -600. You can see the problem here: And this is from within photoshop, i am unsure what to do with the ''underneath'' of the aircraft to get away the metal, and where to put the red and blue stripes. All help is appreciated!

Hi I'm trying to make a simple edit to a dds file (DXT5 1024x1024). It's a cockpit (vc) panel. I use DXTBMP to convert the file for editing in Photoshop. After editing and saving, and I load the aircraft with the edited file, the textures are more pixellated than with the original. Could someone tell me please how I can edit this file without introducing this degradation? Many thanks David Lawrence

Please can anyone help. On some of my AI models I do not see tail fin & winglets any-more (See image 1). Some times I see tail fin but not winglets, but models with sharklets are visible fine (See image 2). This issue is only with A320 IAE FAIB files. Thanking you all.... Hello, I have created a few paintjobs using PMDG Paint Kit, however the file sizes are very large when compared to the liveries that I have downloaded from other livery makers. For example the fsize of my latest livery folder is 368MB, and the PTP is 56MB. Usually when i download a livery the PTP is around 20MB. Is there a way to reduce the file size of my Repaint?

I am looking for someone that has the POSKY 777-200 paint kit. I would get it myseld but there isn't one available online anywhere that I can find. I'm trying to use the repaint "2010-03-02_erjv2_135_airfrance_f-gohe.zip" from the file library. It's for the feelthere ERJv2, and was originally done for FS9. Trying to use it in fsx, I get a lighting issue, as seen in the attached picture. What do I need to change/convert to get the textures to work properly in FSX? thanks

This is my first attempt at a repaint. I have a Cera UH-60L Blackhawk and they supply a paint kit with it. Each page of the paint kit is in photoshop psd format. There is no Australian Army repaint available for the Cera UH-60L so I decided to attempt my own. I painted the pink primer paint kit aircraft with Paint Shop Pro X7 while retaining the psd format. I then used DDS Converter 2 to convert from psd to dds. It was supposed to be relatively easy, but I ended up with the following surfaces. Any ideas what is going wrong, or more precisely, how do I correct it?

A month ago I contact American Airlines requesting any help they could provide in producing a entirely accurate reproduction of their colors currently in use. Needless to say, I didn't expect them to return my email, but they did. They provided the hex codes, RGB's, samples and even aircraft schematics detailing where the 20 different colors (yeah, 20!) are painted. I also had to sign a Non-disclosure Agreement stating that I would never reveal or provide any of the materials to the public, something I was wary of to begin with. Needless to say, this is the most in-depth and time consuming paint I've ever done. Preview images

Guy's, I've been painting aircraft for FSX for a few years now. Creating a light splash is quite easy but figuring out how to make the splash come on with the landing lights is, for me at least, a bit like having your head in a vice. I have read bits on FS 2002/2004 that uses the alpha channel but that doesn't work in FSX -again, at least for me. I'm sure this is not a new topic and sorry if people are going to start yawning again, but I would like to know. I tried out the Thomas Ruth DC10 (Tom_DC10)_V2) I can get nice splashes but they are on all the time. Any help would be great. Lane

Hey folks. I decided to approach this project from a different mindset. With art project #1 I was trying to get too complex and was trying to put 40s-50s streamliner curves and pin stripes onto a very '70s' shaped airplane. The Duke is somewhat of a unique shape from a painting perspective, it's not quite the boxy shape like the RV-7, thus limits some of the scheme. styles. I decided to shift my mindset to a more '70s' idea with the scheme, this is my result. I still may play with the tail a bit, but I think this flows with the shape of the plane better. Hey Guys, I am working on some Turbine Duke schemes. It's been a while since I have done a design from scratch but here is a theme I am working on. Being a fan of the SF Giants, I had painted schemes after every championship year. 2010 2012 After the latest championship I was waiting for the right plane to paint and I feel this Turbine Duke is ripe for it...perfect ride to take me to all those away games lol. Hey Guys, I was able to 'reverse engineer' some blank textures using the PDukeV2 kit, a combination of TDukev2 textures, a little fudging, and some help from one of Ron's TDukeV1 schemes(for the oil splash). With this you can use the PDukev2 kit and work out some fuselage/tail schemes, tho I would recommend leaving the nacelles alone until the official paint kit is out. Hello After flying for nearly 2 years I have decided that I would love to learn how to paint my own aircraft but I dont really know where to begin. i own several payware aircraft including the Airbus Extended and also the Carenado B1900D which include paintkits but am not sure what they are for. Can someone point me in the right direction, do i need an expensive paint program to do this? many thanks
