  1. Hello, would it be possible for someone to make a repaint of the Vistaliners Boeing 727? This would be much appreciated. It does not matter whether it is a 727-200 or 727-200 advanced. A paint kit is available here: https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/15120/fs2004-vistaliners-boeing-727-200/

I have this issue where my aircraft (in this case the A380 by Project Airbus) - my aircraft's texture became transparent. Not that I want it, I want to get rid of it. It is weird to have see-through fuselages. Will post screenshot if required. I'm still a newbie at repainting, but am knowledgeable. Please advise

Hello, I am currently repainting a fleet of PMDG's -700's and -600's, and i've encountered a problem. I have never painted on the night textures before, but i'm trying to do it now to give the aircraft the best possible paint i can produce. My problem is, when i copy the paint from my master .psd over to the night textures, they are way to big, and when i scale them down to fit, you can clearly see the it in the sim, they do not match up. Does anyone know how to fix this? Or know of any tutorials out there that adresses this? Thanks!

Hey guys, Playing around with that new F1 King Air made me appreciate the Turbine Duke. Anyway, I attempted this along time ago but couldn't get it to work right. After some other repaints taught me about Fresnels, I decided to attempt this scheme again. It is actually just the shiny scheme from the Piston Duke, but required some tweaking of parts and adjusting shine levels. I also included some medicinal beverages I might putz around with the VC some more, might get it uploaded tomorrow or Monday. Cheers TJ

If, like me, you use ModelConverterX do NOT download the latest build dated 23/10/2105! I'm in the process of painting a Milviz B55 and when I tried to load it in MCX it said "You do not appear to be the owner of this model. If you are contact support" I then promptly shut down. I was getting along famously with the previous build (which brought back the refresh button) and I got a message telling me a new version was available. Biiig mistake. Fortunately I have a copy of 1.30. "Insert swear words, oaths and epithets here)

Hello, I have a strange issue while attempting to create a custom Livery for the PMDG 777. Currently when I use gray to paint the aircraft, that portion becomes transparent. See the image here: http://prnt.sc/8rgjn1 The issue is also present when using the provided PMDG Paint Kit, the bottom portion of the doors where the 'Door Plates' are visible become transparent in FSX, as you are able to see the aircraft interior. Other places the issue is present are the 'General Weathering' on the bottom of the aircraft, as well as ports and panels on the bottom side of the aircraft. I am using other Aircraft Liveries that have gray as a color, but none of them are transp…

Hi all,I have been doing some research on this topic and I believe it has something to do with alpha channels!? But I am not sure.. Basically I have a repaint of an aircraft all done. It loads in FSX with no trouble and the aircraft looks great, so long as it's landing lights or logo lights are not on, I have some great shots of it at the gates etc.. Basically the logo light just uniformly makes the entire tail lighter, and it just looks like the tail is painted in brilliant white while the rest isn't, and same with the landing lights for the front portion of the fuselage... it does not look realistic at all. I am wondering what I need to do to my repaint in order to g…

I'm trying to do a repaint for the Majestic Dash8 for the first time and I'm having some problems with the borders of the colored areas that are very jagged, much more than I see with the default paints. I found in a video on youtube that I have to convert to BMP Extended 32-bit 888-8 format, but then the textures are all black. I found that saving them to DDS DXT5 does work, but with jagged edges. So I increased the resolution to 4096x4096 and that made a difference, but still far from what the default paints look like. What file-type and settings should I use in Photoshop and DXTBmp to get the same clean edges as the default paints?

Hi Hopefully someone can explain this to me. I've only just recently got to grips with mip mapping and how to go about optimizing it ,thanks to the great tutorial on the p3d tip and tricks section. I 'm using photoshop cs5 and image tool, however I have found lots of files on some of my scenery textures that open fine with image tool but when I try to open them in photoshop to convert them to a dds format i get a pop up saying " could not complete your request because an unexpected end of file was encountered." The file is also saved as a dxt3 so i would like to change it to either dxt1 or 5 depending on the alpha or not. Any ideas why I can't open it in photoshop…

Want to upload some repaints but cannot contact the original author. I always get permission but in this case no one has been able to contact this person since 2009. If anyone knows how to get in touch with Mitsuya Hamaguchi let me know.

Dear texture masters, In the AVSIM library I found a PMDG 777-300ER repaint in Boeing colours, which I hoped to find for some non scheduled flights. The problem is the repainter decided to stick a label on the glareshield, right in front of the captain's eyes, which I would love to remove (if possible). Here's the screenshot showing the label (or placard): Is there any way to remove it (I have little experience in working with textures)? Do you know which texture is responsible for it? Thanks a lot for any help. All the best,

Hey guys, I am aware that Christian Mohr has taken a lot of his repaints from Avsim offline for some reason. However, at the moment, I am eagerly searching for a SunExpress 737-800 livery. As far as I know, Christian once did TC-SUU and D-ASXS. I know there are other repaints for SXS/SXD available, however none come even close to Christians quality and are lacking fundamental basics. I am always astonished how detailed Christians repaints are. He seems to not be missing a single sticker on an aircraft. So if any of you guys who are reading this (or probably even Christian himself) still have his SunExpress repaints, I'd really appreciate me if you could help me o…

  16. There are a few repaints in the avsim library that I like. Problem is the artist did not put the American flag on the left side of the airplane flying correctly. I emailed them but have no had a reply. How can I edit this and flip the flag around? I have tried opening up the file in dxtbmp program and then using the export to paint, flipping it around, and exporting it back to dxtbmp, but then the size is off and it does not show up correctly.

  17. Started by specialist,

For many years I've painted tons of liveries with my old and faithful Corel Paint Shop Pro program. However, as paint kits have gotten larger and more complex, I've had to move on and migrate to Adobe Photoshop CC despite my reservations about joining the Adobe Creative Cloud family. I was going to try and buy the 64bit version of Corel Paint Shop Pro X7, but it wasn't working as smooth as I hoped. Although many tools are similar, there are many others I'm not familiar with in Photoshop. I've checked YouTube channels to see how others are painting FSX liveries with the latest Photoshop CC program, but I didn't come across any. The best videos out there is for those still …

  19. To Whom It May Concern: Just wondering if it's possible to acquire the US Customs textures for the Dreamwings Dash 8 Q100/200, for FS2004. I have the model, from Dreamwings. I recently looked at the Spider360 website (Euroastra350), which had picture of the model in these textures;however there wasn't a download, for this particular texture, from the website. The author had a great picture and indicated it would be uploaded at a later date. It's been over 2 years. Is there anyone who's acquired the textures for this model? I would be interested in acquiring and downloading it. Please provide any information, at your earliest convenience Thank …

Anyway, ive flown the 777 in real many times and its an amazing aircraft, so i always dream of flying it in real. i bought the legendary PMDG 777-300ER and downloaded the Emirates fifa world cup 2014 livery, i was really happy overall with it, except for the wing textures. in the following image you can see some sort of marking: http://prntscr.com/7ts2um Would anyone try and put this onto my wing textures? i really want it! Hi all, Being the American Airlines/ US Airways fan that I am, I decided enough was enough. Currently I use IVAO MTL models with VPilot, and VMR Generator to create the rule sets for VPilot (This isn't very important). When in my sim, I wanted to see the new American A319, A320, and A321 liveries, so I decided to repaint them and add them to my AI fleet. The repaints were done using the correct paintkit, and the repaints are saved in the correct (correct to my knowledge) DXT1 format, as you can see in the picture: and named just as all the other repaints are named. As you can see in the picture: So, at this point I have created the new American Ai…

Probably a futile question because there won't be many or even any other Corel people around... Does anyone know if the Photoshop plugin can be made to work in Corel Draw suite? Or if there is a similar Corel plugin that works? I don't really "need" the plugin because I have developed my own ways of creating similar, but it may make life slightly easier.

Hi everyone - I have night textures on my QW 757 repaints working properly on every area of the aircraft except the landing lights. Regardless of applying the night landing lights to my textures and placing the correct file in the livery texture folder, I still just get a washed-out flood of light over the daylight textures. I have used this correct procedure to the vertical stabiliser, windows, winglets, etc. and those all work properly with richly coloured and nicely lit results (much better than the default QW textures incidentally). If anyone knows how to resolve the landing lights textures properly I would be grateful for your help. Cheers.
