Avsim member Jankees did an awesome repaint for me several years ago. It is a repaint for the Carenado V35B, which looks just like one that my father used to own in the 70s and 80s. For whatever reason the windows are 'tinted' so much that they are black in the VC. Jankees hasn't been back on in the forums lately. Would anyone be willing to take a look at for me? Thanks!

I recently started doing some repainting in FSX. I am getting the hang of using layers and photoshop and texture conversions but I am having a problem with getting my textures to align from panel to panel. For example, I am trying repaint the Aerosoft DA20 Katana 4x to match the actual aircraft I There is a green stripe from the nose to the tail. On the paint kit, the nose is 3 different pieces and then there is the body and then down to the tail and rudder. They are not all one piece. Since the texture is a 2D object that is going to spread over a 3D model, drawing a straight line does not transform into a straight line in FSX and all the pieces do not match the lin…

Okay , so i need some help to make realistic dirt on PMDG 777 paint kit As you can see in the image , under the door you can see some type of grease although around the door so can any one help me doing any similar shape like this ? Thanks in advance

Hi All, Decided to go purchase FSRepaint from Abacus but it wasn't there. A quick Google later brought up www.fsrepaint.com.br/fsrepainting/index.html . Is this a legit site? It looks like a site that a school kid would set up in their bedroom so I am a bit iffy about putting any payment through it. All the other results were either reviews or torrents. Cheers Harry

Hi Folks, I'm pretty darn familiar with FS9 painting, PSP, PS, Gimp, Alpha Channels, various compression algorithms and even painting for other sims... I recently transitioned from FS9 to P3D skipping FSX completely... I'm currently working from an FSX paint kit for a model that uses Extended BMP's for the model with DXT3 compression... The BMP's have a greyscale alpha channel which I assume is the specular shine control... Is DDS preferable to Extended BMP with DXT5 ? If I use DDS - do I stop using alpha channels and just create separate textures for bump-maps and specular shine with some specific naming convention ? I know P3D also supports bump-maps - …

Is there a standard font Boeing uses for the 777 and 737 for the registration card in the cockpit? For the 737 the vcnnumber file I have figured out how to edit it and add my own, since many painters do not add the registration in the correct size and do not enter the selcal. But how do I find out what font and size is used? Thank you for the help. I'm trying to get about 10 registration files for various 737-700 and -800 Southwest repaints that did not include the correct style. Thanks!

For a very long time I have used Paint Shop Pro 7 and really like it but today I downloaded the demo version of Photoshop to see if I can get used to it. First thing I noticed is that I cannot seem to have two or more textures, pictures or graphics on the main window at one time and if I import a texture into PS it opens in a new window - in PSP I always seem to have up to a dozen emblems, color patches, or pics of my project plane at one time and can easily copy/paste or grab a logo or graphic I made and layer it in, resize it, or change layer properties. So the question is can I have a window full of odds and ends open in PS and can I then easily integrate them …

Hi all, I recently purchased the Wilco Embraer E-Jets for FSX:SE. While I am enjoying the product, it came with very few textures. I've been looking for some repaints, which I have found, but they haven't worked properly. Some show up funny(door normal, and the rest of the plane much darker), but the majority just don't work. I've always had trouble installing repaints, so it's most likely me. I recently tried to install an Air Canada livery and an Air Dolomiti livery for the E195, neither of which worked. I put the texture file into the directory and changed the aircraft.cfg file, but it never appeared in my sim. Am I missing a step? How can I fix this? Thank…

Just did a repaint followed all directions from here and product documents. Cabin windows are not transparent any more, just cockpit windows are tranparent. What did I do wrong?

Hello ! I have a problem with creating a new livery of my 777-200 . I work with Photoshop . I first edited the master and then cut . All parts I have flattened and then copied according to Fuse 1 , 2 or . 3 Then I .dds files created and inserted into the Texture file . The Texture is also displayed , but at a night flight, I have no light . It looks as if all the blinds were drawn. A ghost plane . I can not find my mistakes easily . Please help me. Hello, everyone: I am looking for a tutorial on how to paint the QW 757. I've read the small instruction/directions on the paintkit but I'm not sure of the proper process for creating the correct files to install so the repaint shows up in FSX. I've googled this without much success. I couldn't find a YouTube video either. I've painted the PMDG aircraft with almost no difficulty and I'm hoping there is something out there other than the limited instruction contained on the master fuselage file within the paint kit.
