Any chance anyone know of a JetSuiteX repaint for an ERJ-135, Feelthere, or any other model for that matter? Thanks.

  2. Hello All, I recently stumbled across a wonderful E17X AI model that was released just under 2 weeks ago by Andrew Quintal, also going by Raven FS Labs, in the library. And it has the updated Embraer winglets which is awesome! Being a huge fan of AI I downloaded it and have thrown a few repaints onto the models and it looks great. He has a website and under the description of the model he states that there is in fact a Hi-Res 2048x2048 paintkit. There are a few repaints floating around for the model on Juergen Baumbusch's site, just wondering if anyone knows where I can find the paintkit or if the dev will release it at a later date once Juergen gets a few paints cir…

Hi Guys, Today I downloaded a livery for the LES DC3 uploaded not long ago and as I am very interested to see how things are made I opened the files and studied them. Though its a nice project and suitable for XP11 ( after editing a lot of OBJ files yourself) I was a bit surprised( you may say disappointed too) to see the normal files. At first sight they look quiet impressive SEE THE PICTURE ON TOP. Nevertheless something went wrong with this normal and I was thinking about a normalfile I saw a few years ago made by Aegen wich was much more impressive. Even more impressive is the normalfile for the same plane made by Klaas Kobbert very recently SEE LOWER PI…

  6. These are two repaints for the QW Boeing 757-200WL. They have been toned to real colors, with a realistic change in registration number. There are two variants of the repaint, which are the AAL and AWE variant. The AAL has two overwing exits, while the AWE variant has only one extra door behind the wing. The tail registrations are AAL: N183AN and AWE: N202UW. I hope you can be nice enough to download this in the library and to share this. Links: AAL Variant: https://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fsxacrp&DLID=199407 AWE Variant: https://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fsxacrp&DLID=199473 From The Flight Deck SIM (FTFD) website: ww…

  7. Almost weekly many painters are complaining about Carendo paints being so hard to do, on this forum and others. Carenado textures are always a bit like a jigsaw-puzzle. Making texture-parts being lined up correctly is allways a bit difficult. Very often painters are wasting a lot of time on it ,especially when they make serveral liveries for the same aircraft. Making a "total-fuse" ( assembled set of fuselage textures, displaying the complete side of the fuselage) is the solution , its worth the effort even for a single paint. When making a "total-fuse" the alignment has to be done just once. As most Carenado planes come without a paintkit, I allways start making …

  8. I am having a devil of a time trying to figure out how to repaint this aircraft without a template. I have tried to create my own based on other repaints I have looked at but nothing seems to line up, I wish every addon company would take the time to create a paint template. If anyone has a template or any ideas would you let me know? Thanks, Robert

Hi everyone, I am looking for the paintkit of the iSDT ATR 42-500 (FSX version although I think it should be the same for the FS9 version). I can't find it anywhere (their website is not around) so I was wandering if anyone here knows where to find it or maybe has it on their computer and is willing to share it. Cheers, Achilleas

Hi all, I've been having some difficulty finding information on how I can get a chrome effect on an aircraft, I'm moderate when it comes to repainting and Photoshop, I looked it up and most of the guides are for text where as I would want a specific section of the livery, I'm trying to get my repaint as close as possible to Air Force One, as you've probably seen it has a chrome finish to the under and back section of the aircraft, PMDG did manager to do it for the original 747 but this time around they haven't done one so I'm going over my already completed one and really fine tweaking it, I've linked a photo of their old 747 in the livery they did and I must apologiz…

I have done numerous painting in photoshop using DDS and PSD files - no problem Now a friend requested to do a Wilco A340 painting. On the CD in the paintkit folder I found the PSD files. Very basic files, no master file but that I can create myself. Anyway, I noticed that the A340 uses BMP in the texture folder as opposed to DDS. Saving my work as a BMP works if you look at the airplane from close up. As you move away from the plane, the fuselage becomes metal gray Probably I am not saving the file with the correct options, but I have tried just about every setting and can't get it to work. Any hints ? Thanks

Hey guys, Before I was pulled away from FS for a while, I had done some Legacy v2 and T Duke v2 schemes. I never got around to showing them or uploading them. Here they are, I was experimenting with some themes and styles. Since I live in wine country, 'burgundy' is a popular color, so I was trying various shades of Burgundy with silver and white. I also tried a copper, black, white theme. With the Burgundy Grey scheme, I was shooting for a faded transition between the colors. I know I had planned to so a 'Mako Shark'/WW2 Navy fighter style of Dark blue-fade-light blue-fade- grey. If I can find the PSD templates for that scheme, I might still try it. I did c…

  21. Hello everyone! I thought to create me a fictional livery for a pmdg 777-200. As i have some experiences in handling photoshop i gave it a go, but soon got stucked when DXTBmp simply wouldn't want to save the TGA as .dds texture. No messaage/warrning/error, nothing moved so i dumped the program. I run a 64 bit win 7 and the livery would be for FS:SE If someone experienced same problems with DTX and has a working solution to it, that would be fantastic to hear. I have TGAs ready and if there is a good soul outthere that would be so kind to recheck and convert them to .dds for me that would be a blast and i would really appreciate it! Thanks

Hello everyone I'm hoping that someone has seen or encountered this problem and knows what I'm doing wrong. I'm a newby at painting aircraft so please be patience with me. This is what I am doing... 1 Open .dds file with DXTBmp V4.00.97 and save as 24bit .bmp file 2 Open 24bit bmp with Photoshop and make the changes I would like to see. 3 Flatten and save as 24bit .bmp file. 4 Open 24bit .bmp file with DXTBmp V4.00.97 and save as .dds file type DDS DXT5. (I've used every file type 1,3 and 5) Then this happens... http://s300.photobucket.com/user/real_life_husband/media/Chrome%20after%20paint.jpg.html?o=0 Of course it should be nice and shiny like t…

Hey everyone, first post here. I'm currently in the process of repainting an aircraft, but have run into an obstacle. I'd just like to get a better understanding of this obstacle. There is only one fuselage bmp. This is obviously mirrored on both sides of the fuselage. The dilemma is that I would like to put text on both sides of the aircraft fuselage, so when I put the text on, one side is fine, but the other side has mirrored text. Maybe there's something really simple that I'm missing, or maybe it's impossible to get around this. Any help is appreciated.

  25. Just started to mess around with paint.net. I've put a request in for a repaint of this aircraft (no harm in asking!), but in the meantime I'm trying to have a go myself. Here's one of the existing schemes which I decided to use as a base - Nice wave of colour. I decided to change the white parts and get rid of the company logos. I use DXTBmp to open the texture then send the image to paint.net to play with it. I guess I got lucky with the grey - just filled in the white with a paintbucket! Didn't work with the forward wings though - that texture includes other components which I didn't want re-colouring. That's the hard part I guess, going around the texture…
