Been lurking for awhile, and I've looked everywhere, but I can't find it anywhere. I'm looking for a template for the SMS A380-800. In the SimObjects folder, there are several .bmp files in /texture/, but I can't preview any of them, and Photoshop can't open them, returning an error describing an unexpected end-of-file. I believe these are the blank texture files, but given that nothing I have can open them, I'm at a loss

Hello All: I am flying the Milviz C310 Redux exclusively in VR these days. In VR, the cockpit glass seems to be a bit too tinted / cloudy for my taste. I know there are some talented re-painters here on this board. I wonder if anyone knows how I might edit the VC textures to make the VC cockpit glass more transparent? I am vaguely familiar with DXTBmp, but have not used it since my FSX days (now on P3d 4.4). IIRC, transparency is controlled via the Alpha channel, and lighter equals more transparent. Is that correct? Do I also need to modify the RGB layers, or is modifying the Alpha channel sufficient? Any help would be greatly appreciated.…

Is there a reason that some kits have NNumber PSD files and others do not? For example: The PMDG_748_PAX_Paintkit has 2 NNumber PSD files where the PMDG_747v3_PAX_ER_Paintkit contains no such PSD files. Maybe I should just go to bed...

Hi there, I have started repainting aircrafts for a while now however I would like to take it to another level and repaint for professionally With ModelConverterX - How do I see my repaint in that software instead of having to load up the sim each time to see a change? I repaint in photoshop shop so how would I transfer my repaint from PS to MCX. With the PMDG 737 repaint - How do I edit some of the cabin textures? As I've seen some repaints like the Ryanair's have cabin textures which makes it way more realistic. Any ideas on ways to do this?

Sorry to bug you guys again but I am still having trouble with a repaint I am working on. With your help, I was able to create a re-paint for the 737. The only issue is, is that when I load my livery in P3D the plane looks too shiny. From what I understand I need to make an alpha channel but I have no Idea how to do this. I know where to find your channels in Photoshop but don't know how you use the alpha channel to do this. I can find some guides online but none of them relate to re-painting aircraft and was still confused. Also, I did find some info in the FAQ about what values to use for the alpha channel but again didn't how to change it. Any help will be appreciated.…

Hoping someone can help as I*'ve been tearing my hair out (and I don't have any to spare) trying to do some paint fixes with the PMDG NGX paint kit. I've got an airplane with the wrong N-Number in the VC, so I understand I have to edit the PSD file from the paint kit, then flatten the file, save it, and convert it to a DXT5 texture. I have Photoshop CC, so I can open and edit the PSD file, but there's no plug-in available for the newer releases. But I do have the P3D SDK and Imagetool to convert from PSD to DXT5/DDS. My problem is that no matter what I've tried, I cannot get a DDS file that looks correct. I can select the text layer, and change the Number…

Hello, so I am trying to make my own repaint for the PMDG 737-600. Everything was going ok until I went to use DXTBmp to convert the files to DDS. I was able to convert the wing file and the tail file to DDS but when I tried to save the master fuselage file it would not save at all so couldn't get it to convert. When I clicked save nothing would happen and no DDS file for the fuselage appeared in the appropriate folder. I edited the files in Photoshop then saved them as Targa files before opening them in DXTBmp. Any Ideas what I was doing wrong? Thanks

I downloaded the paint kit for the 737 NGX-800/900. I have used this before. However, the download now does not contain the tail NIGHT texture for repainting. It DOES contain the regular tail texture. Where do I find this missing texture? (Tail Night) Thanks

I have been repainting aircraft for a number of years now. Some go very well, others are very difficult to get through. It's is usually...though I must say not always...a plus when an aircraft developer provides a paint kit for use with their model. But, like repaints, some kits go well, others not so much. So, to the developers...think about the "little guy" from time to time. For all the years I have been repainting almost every one of my liveries has started with a "base" aircraft with white skin or a "base" aircraft with metal skin, yet rarely do aircraft developers or paint kit developers provide either option in a "ready to paint" format. I understand the …

Hi, I have been developing scenery for the Bahamas area, some of which I have posted previously. I really would like to have a few static seaplanes and commercial aircraft stationed in different parts of the Bahamas. I am currently getting ready to release MYBS, MYBC, MYCC & MYZ3. There are a few seaplanes that serve those locations and also commercial planes that serve MYBS. If there is someone here willing to help out please contact me via a pm or through my facebook link, https://www.facebook.com/photosimlabs/ Thanks Bernardo.
