I am very experienced in repainting with PhotoShop but would like to make the change to Blender. Many of my repaints are camo patterns or other details that would be quicker with Blender. Thanks in advance!

Hi Folks. Does anyone know how to get Blender maximised from the taskbar in win 10? I have just installed Blender 4 and when I click on the desktop icon it minimises to the taskbar and I can't open it up.

All my Aerosoft model files are missing the belly objects (at the wing root). That can be painted easily in the paint kit if it is all one colour, but if different colours need to match and align with the fuselage paint, it is very challenging to do. Is anyone able to help please? TIA for any assistance!

At the moment I'm making a repaint for the Carenado C337. I'm making a black/red military O-2, and this aircraft has the tail number on the fin, instead of on the tail boom, because of there is text in that position. Im getting stuck on adding the panel.cfg to the livery package. Without adding the panel.cfg part, the aircraft shows up and works fine in MSFS, but as soon as I add the replacement panel file, things go wrong. Good day, I am busy painting the Mauritanian Airlines Boeing 737-800 5T-CLE, and I have been brought to a halt trying to figure out the name of the aircraft. The "English" name on the left-hand side of the aircraft is: "Aftout Essahili". If I translate directly into Arabic, it does not represent text that even remotely looks similar to what is painted on the right side of the fuselage. To be honest, I am not sure it is Arabic, I am guessing, as it is one of the languages spoken in Mauritania from my research. Greetings for all! HD problems made I lost my original 737NGX paint kits. I tried PMDG Customer Forum and they said that thease files were retired becouse the product was descontinuied. The PMDG Community Forums did not answer so, I need to know if some one can send me the files of 737NGX 600, 700, 800, 900 paint kits or inform where can I download them? Thanks for help!.

I am trying to create a chrome look to the white spinner on my RV 7 repaint using GIMP. The common folder has a file named btsspinnerchrome.dds with the alpha channel. I understand that to get the chrome look I need to retexture to dark grey. What are the correct steps after loading the file into DXTbmp, sending to GIMP and retexturing to the dark grey?

In casting about trying to find repaints for the XP11 Carenado Beechcraft Bonanza F33A, [so far without success], I got the feeling that there aren't too many painters doing XP11 GA aircraft at the moment. Is that the case, & if so is it because XP11 repaints are more difficult to do than P3D or FSX, or some other reason? T45

Has anyone discovered how to change the prop tips from white/red/grey/red/white to whatever the real plane has. i.e. Red/grey/red or White/grey/white? (Grey being the prop colour) I've edited textures ext 03 and ext 04 But reloading (several time) the default resolutely refuses to vacate the premises. I've notice that of the several dozen paints on flightsim.to NONE of the painters have changed the prop tips. I do not believe it's because they couldn't be bothered. There are some talented guys on there.

I'm new to this arena and am curious, how does one get into repainting aircraft in MSFS 2020? I am wanting to do a repaint of several aircraft and just not sure where to start. I have experience with photoshop, Afinity Photo and even have a Substance painter. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi everyone, Recently, I ended up with a situation where the hard drive I kept the paint kit for the PMDG 737-800NGX (along with repaint projects) was damaged and the files are unfortunately irrecoverable. I tried contacting PMDG to see if they could assist, but unfortunately, I was told that it was not possible and that they have effectively removed everything 737NGX related from their servers. I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to get a copy of the paint kit for the 737-800NGX (not the NGXu), as most of my repaints and flying is done on the 737. I'm still relatively new to the livery game, but have successfully made a few. I'm running into a new problem now that I'm not quite sure how to solve: namely overlapping aircraft parts on a texture. In other words, when I want to paint a specific part on a plane (in this case, the Bonanza's stick-out notch on the leading edge of the wing), it also paints a part underneath by the wheel well. The UV file confirms that, for whatever reason, those parts do overlap. Obviously, this is frustrating. One solution someone posed is to simply slap a decal on the part (I suppose either, depending on my preference). Problem is I don't know how to create decals and how to "slap" …
